  1. And you need a table just for the counters!! https://boardgamegeek.com/image/1410482/world-war?size=original
  2. I grabbed this yesterday, many thanks Rocketman!
  3. So simple yet I totally missed it! Many thanks @Hilts, it'll keep me occupied between PBEM turns!
  4. Bump. Hopefully by now someone out there has gone through the training mission? I'm looking for the save game end of mission 2 or very start of mission #3. I just don't have time to replay mission 2 just to get through it... Thnaks
  5. Nice work! You (modders) are amazing, and fast!
  6. Ooh, I just stumbled across a file somewhere in the interwebs; someones been busy!!! Not complete though....
  7. +1. Though sometimes I wish there was a Hunt (Slow) and a Hunt (Normal)....
  8. Also see this report, and it looks like Chris has reached out for a save file already?
  9. And the truck behind has a passenger on the roof..
  10. It seems JonS's alter ego is a popular veteran Australian political satirist (if that's the correct term), John Clarke 2:58... http://www.abc.net.au/news/programs/clarkeanddawe/
  11. @Vencini I just completed that mission. It took about 4 spotting rounds to get close to the buildings, including 1 only 25m from my observer team, and 1 that took out a squad member... ;( As @IanL suggests, splitting teams is thoroughly recommended. For this mission I split by Assault, so each squad split into a maneuvre team (with grenades) and fire team (with MG). Without demo or breaching charges [or a tank!] (which are what you need to hole walls) , I used my fire teams to heavily suppress the buildings for at least a minute, whilst moving the maneuvre teams as close as possible. Then time their assault into the building to coincide with the end of your suppression fire. Likely still to be bloody, but thats urban warfare.. I think it's a great little training mission for just that, using raw organic squad firepower.. Good luck!
  12. Just wow! Playing the first tiny scenario/battle, advancing my German troops with their mix of uniforms quietly through the heavy falling snow, with the wind howling through the trees. Absolutely stunning and immersive! SPLASH SPLASH as the gunner Frans crosses the tiny stream. "Shuddup" whispers his sergeant hoarsely, stalking warily through the tuffs of grass poking up through the snow. And we haven't even heard or spotted the enemy yet.....
  13. Already played it in the demo, and don't want to do so again, so if anyone has the save game for the end of mission 2, or even start of mission 3, that'd be grand!
  14. Digging through some of the developer's forum posts, I had to google " solipsistic". I still don't know what it means...
  15. Great posts Big Boss! Helps a lot to give the game 'life'
  16. Interesting, thanks for the headsup. Question though, as I really don't have any knowledge/experience outside CM and ARMA: this comment below in the wargamer article on the new game doesn't mention CM? Is that because CM is for the most part played WEGO (and is not truly a 'real-time tactical)? Or am I missing the obvious? " The Tactical Art of Combat will be an entirely new type of game; the only real real-time tactical simulations are Close Combat and Graviteam Tactics, which are both very different. "
  17. Is this terrain grid something you can switch/hotkey on/off in game once installed? Or must you manually remove the mod to turn it off? For instance, switching between grid for gameplay, then off for screenshots?
  18. Microsoft themselves haven't supported XP for two years now.. http://windows.microsoft.com/en-us/windows/end-support-help
  19. Same here from Oz, nice quick DL! Wife's away all next week with son, so some quality CM: FB time coming up for me!
