Oh yuck. I just went to the store to find it and I forgot how painful that can be. I usually buy something, download it and save it with the keys so I never have to go in there again to find stuff. Here is what I did: I logged into the store and looked at the My Account page. On that page there is a list of purchases each with an arrow and "View" I looked at each one until I found one named this: CM Normandy - v3.0 UPGRADE  with the SKU of CBNU-3P-DW. That, for me, linked to the full installer for CMBN 3.11. That leads to the next challenge - downloading the right thing. The download link leads to a share file service and you have to select all the files on that screen - use the select all button and then press the download button to get them all.
But there is a patch too after that: http://www.battlefront.com/index.php?option=com_content&task=view&id=2306&Itemid=518
Yeah its bad but way better than trying to piece everything together on little bit at a time in the right order without missing a step. I thought there was an easier way to get a full install of version but I cannot find it.
You reap what you sew. Sadly I usually end up saying that to people who are being jerks and getting upset when they get a harsh response. It is refreshing to say it to someone being reasonable who is looking for advice and actual wants to hear it.

Thanks for correcting my post. I did not know the airborne version was different, as I don't have Market Garden
I think my point about the HE ammo not showing up because the list can only show 4 items is still correct though.

Until someone can post a save to look at I don't believe it.  I suspect from some of the posts above that a basic misunderstanding of how spotting works in the game is at play.

I haven't come across anything ingame that suggests it might not be 1:1 for soldiers and whatnot.

Either 'The Blitz' or 'A Few Good Men' would be good sites for finding opponents.  I think they both have ladder games, but you can have casual games at both sites as well.  If someone wants a ladder game they will usually specify that they want a ladder game when looking for an opponent.

The enhanced brightness doesn't increase detection distance or anything else.  It's purely cosmetic.  It merely helps the player better see what your troops have already seen.

Although you can toggle as described by Holman. The guys on the ground in the winter of '44/45 couldn't do it, so I don't either. Perhaps I'm a glutton for punishment.

who you calling old?  Oh wait, yeah never mind..
One correction- we aren't racing to Battlefront's defense. They frankly aren't concerned about defending against mis-informed and unrealistic speculation.  We are just trying to keep that mis-information from being the only source of information to new players or infrequent visitors.  We try to be an antidote to fake news posts.  We actually care that players have all the facts to the extent they can actually be discussed.  @IanL for example gave a much more valid timeline than your 14 months would indicate.
they haven't done anything in 14 months! <---- fake news

    Johnlondon125,
Glad the guys got you sorted on the principal issue, and may I congratualte you on bringing new blood into our wonderful ecrack, ahem, CM community!  As for the DRM, CM requires no dice and all effect adjustments are made under the hood!

I have CMBN installed on 3 machines right now, my main desktop, my laptop and my daughter's laptop. She is enjoying LAN battles with me almost as much as I am.
I have CMFI installed on those three as well as my desktop at work.
My understanding is the game comes with 4 activations initially and a new one is made available every year you own the product.
As for Steam, Battlefront have stated repeatedly they will not be using the Steam platform.
As stated before, my daughter and I have been playing LAN battles with each other without issue. I own a copy of Civiliation V and while it is installed on both our laptops, I need to buy a second copy to battle her thanks to Steam's DRM rules. So a big thanks to @Battlefront.com for not using Steam so I can introduce the joys of CM to the next generation.

zinzan reacted to StieliAlpha in how about terrain and environment in southern France?
“Southern France” is pretty unspecific. You are talking about a 500k wide front.
    In veeery broad terms:
To the very west, from Atlantic Ocean to Mediterranean Sea, you have the pretty rugged foothills of the Pyrennees.
Along the Mediterranean Coast, from the Spanish border almost up to the Italian border, comes a, say 100k wide stretch of rural farmland. Quite open, rolling hills, scattered small forests.
Behind that,  to the north and stretching west to east, is the Cevennes mountain range, say 60k wide. Not too high mountains, max about 1500m, but quite rugged and with dense forests.
At their east end, the Cevennes merge with the French Alps, which continue into Italy and Switzerland.
Behind the coastal zone, traffic north is quite much channeled by a handful of river valleys, running north to south into the Mediterranean Sea.
All not too densely populated, but with many small, compact villages and towns, as well as some bigger cities. Ah, not to forget: Many pretty sturdy Chateaus scattered over the country.
So, no Bocage or hedge country, but difficult to navigate. I understand, after Operation Dragoon, large bodies of the German army escaped to the North, because the US followed only very cautiously, in constant fear of ambushes.
