  1. I have not been able to download anything. The site bogs each time I go into it. I have stuff in my cart and never get any further. Last week it worked like a charm. Has anyone been able to get this weeks books?
  2. You know how it is: never volunteer for anything... And this is the cheapest way to effect a rescue; no point in risking ten times the men you're trying to save, right? As for his taste in music? Ugh, some crazy metal crap that scares the neighbours that artillery is landing in Moskva.
  3. Guys if anyone has trouble seeing the images I post please let me know right away. There should never be broken image links in my comics threads (and I have to fix a few dozen in one comic in CMBN, all others are ok).
  4. Yes, focusing on any one unit is always risky. The comics where I cover a full battle is a lot more work but also less likely to result in no story at all five minutes in. And waiting for a day or more to know if that tank will kill my squad was brutal... the turn ended with the gun pointed right at them!
  5. Thanks for checking. Watching the turret turn it certainly made me scream in anticipation of the squad's total annihilation. It's one of those moments in the game that feels insanely believable. Awesome, that makes me glad. I do not know what happened inside that tank. I never asked @IanL but maybe if he swings by this thread he'll comment. The smoke screens turned out to be an incredible blessing most times in my favour in this battle. There was a lot of heavy metal poking about that area and since it was my enemy whose tanks discharged the smoke it was funny that it kept working for me rather than him. Since I knew where he was I just had to position my T90s and... well you'll see what happens.
  6. Hey Heinrich! So good to see you here. I miss your little vignettes; they are always entertaining and poignant. I hope the missing pictures show for you now.
  7. Ugh, friggin' Google Photos. The three images I posted today showed for a few hours and then have broken links. I have redone them and the same thing happened. This time I changed how I get the URL. Can anyone coming by here tell me if they see them all now? There should be no missing images anywhere in this thread at this point. Do me an even bigger favour and clear your browser cache and try again, just to be sure. Thank you for your help.
  8. Be Not the Anvil is the latest comic, found here!

  11. While BFC has never put a limit on how long the download links will work, they nevertheless do recommend you save and back them up.
  12. You did a superb job, Ben. And not just on this. Well done, sir.
  13. Is that...rebar I see poking out in spots?
  14. After WW2 simulations, CMBS was sure an eye-opener. No longer was it fairly safe to hide in some shrubs... thermal sights FTW!
  15. I tried to find the picture in Bundesarchiv but none of the Paris 1944 pictures are this one. I’m really intrigued! The shot is on Pinterest: https://www.pinterest.ca/pin/304274518554402208/ source appears to be Getty. https://www.gettyimages.ca/detail/news-photo/in-august-1944-german-tiger-ii-tanks-of-503rd-panzer-news-photo/121507401
  16. Modern armour has a fair bit of smoke and the smoke itself is quite generous when it blooms. There are a number of shots that I toyed with for some atmosphere.
