I finished my first scenario and would like to share it with you.
A small US combat patrol tries to recover a downed Air Force pilot that came down near a Russian OP. Best played Blue vs. AI.
Tiny battle in a wooded area. 30 min. +< 10min. 4 AI plans for Red and 1 for Blue. Playing Red vs. AI might be fun, depending on how good a day the AI has, it might also completely mess it up since the job that the Blue player has to do is not something the AI is good at and also hits some limitations (e.g. AI can't remount vehicles). Playing H2H might work, but I did not test it. The forces and victory conditions are quite fair I think.
I wanted something similar to the outstanding "An August Morning" in the sense that the map and the forces are tiny but Blue has to cross the map to touch an objective and then retreat. To spice things up I throw in vehicles!

HQS 2.2 is a huge modification for Combat Mission Black Sea / Shock Force / Afghanistan - adds or replaces almost all the sounds in the game. That's more than 2,400 sounds and more than 1GB of data, a lot of improvements and modifications really improve immersion in the game.

This is my quick grass and mini texture mod. It is meant to compliment other desaturated texture packs, especially Aris' although you could use it stand alone if you wanted. I didn't create the original textures I just tweaked them so all credit goes to the original art director/illustrators.

Hello everyone. Here is a new terrain mod you can all try out for CMBS. It is essentially the same terrain mod I made for CMRT, with some minor differences in doodads and without some older terrain tiles not suitable for the modern time period. I recommend Kieme's foliage mod to be used along with this mod. If you tried out my CMRT mod, then you know what you are getting. Gents,
My first try at a mod. I have long wanted updated fire support and air support radio chatter and so I took it upon myself to try out a mod. It's nothing too fancy but it does change it up a bit.
Thanks to Mord for a lot of help and putting up with stupid questions!

Background sounds without gunfight.
With Hister's suggestions and the help of Optimus:
Night sounds were subdued - now they are on the same voice level as day sounds.
Two versions of rain sound are available:
With and without Thunder.
*Keep the rain sound version you want by naming it "background rain" and you are good to go.
