  1. Baron Pure out and out bigotry and racism.Afraid it doesn't wash. If you had a brain...............you'd be dangerous
  2. Baron, Talking about history, wars, battles etc etc is one thing.Fusing history with politics and religion is another.Everyone's entitled to their opinion sure but reading through your posts, some of it is getting a bit offensive.I'm not personally offended but i'm sure others could and will be.Let's leave the politics and religion out of it eh. Never fully believe what you read or are told by others a lot of it is bull**** anyway. It all depends on the prejudices of whoever tells you what anyway,Then again that's my opinion.Like all things in life, take it with a pinch of salt ..........or if you're a Brit like me,a cup of tea
  3. Yup there are no surprises on that scenario, everything is there on the briefing and the map.Scout the map and you'll see the Shermans sitting there across the brook waiting for their infantry to catch up.When they do begin to cross roughly at the 25 min mark, your Panthers arrive(as the briefing map tells you ).Race the Panthers up and and hold with your infantry support. The rest is a cakewalk.
  4. In this mission as soon as the shermans appear so should your panthers. You don't need all your forces to exit either.Hold at the bridge and then if you can get a panther and a puma safely across the bridge then head up to that last point.Make sure you kill all the Shermans first. There's an AT gun on the allies side,so when you do decide to head across the bridge,do it as fast as you can.You don't have to engage all the americans as the briefing says, just hold them back. They'll come to you.
  5. Defensive scenarios aside, the AI i think uses arty quite well.If you're too static when moving troops up,you're toast. If you see spotting rounds coming down, get the hell out of Dodge.
  6. Use the "Face" command button a lot also.Sometimes your troops aren't always looking the way you think they are.
  7. Hey Jonnycc88,if i said Shea.Would that ring any bells?
  8. Do a close up on screen. When in "Hide" mode your units will be prone/lying down. When not, they'll be standing or kneeling. The AI or your opponent does the same, that's why you get those LOS moments, now you see it now you don't.You might get the odd soldier who pops his head and gives their position away again too.Only game i know where i'm constantly slagging pixels off for being dumb
  9. Well, let's be honest, the game is playable but with the next patch, the game will be even more playable.
  10. Beware of rocky terrain also,i've had a few light tanks immobilised in FI because of it.If it's raining, and you have to go off road, call the whole thing off
  11. There's a text mod in the Repository which might help with this.Doesn't alter the text but stretches the lettering out to make it more readable.Just the job.
  12. Take everything you can from vehicles.A lot of the stuff can be life saving especially if you're bogged down in a fight in a built up area. As for fatigue, keep your guys fresh. They'll fight better. If they need resting, put them on hide and rest them for a turn.If they are totally fatigued,it can take quite a few turns before they'll return turn to normal. So if you notice any are tired.Rest for a turn and they'll be back to normal come the next turn.
  13. Maybe a quick stretch and a yawn. All in a days work for a sniper.
  14. Just to add to that. i'm on the last Bonus mission for 'Scottish Corridor'.I remember trying to get through this a few times when CW first came out and always gave up after the first few battles.I started it again the other week and stuck with it. Great campaign actually, absolutely brutal all the way through but very enjoyable. When you finally get reinforcements, you could just jump for joy. Never made it through the last three battles,i lost the first which means i lost the village but i'd definately replay this campaign.Brutal battles, great maps, grand job basically.Tough but fun.
  15. Point 1 is split your squad up and just send a few guys into the building and give them light suppressive(yellow) fire from the remainder of the squad and any other squads who can. You'd rather lose a couple of guys rather than a whole squad. The worst that can happen is you 'll know exactly where the enemy is. At the end of the command leg you've given, hold down the shift key and use your mouse to give a 360 arc of fire, that way your guys will look around in all directions when entering a room. If the worst comes to the worst just level the building with either blasts from engineers, javelins,AT weapons or vehicles. I've been playing for years and still lose guys to house assaults,it's very trial and error at times. It's mainly the Nato scenarios and campaigns where you have to kite your infantry,it's not so bad with the Brit and US ones.
  16. The deployment bug is bugging me so i'm knee deep in Shockforce and it's modules at the moment.I remember this game and it's release problems,a total wreck but the guys got tore into it and patched it,numerous times. It's a total gem now. What game ever released, has not had teething troubles. At least these guys support and work on their products unlike some i could mention, whose titles i 'll never buy again.Total bollocks anyone, sorry total war i mean
  17. Spotting isn't the problem.Once you find out what's in them-that's the problem.Even with the amount of arty available, those foxholes are deadly.I've played this scenario a few times and always get severely mauled.Be glad you have spotted them because if you don't deal with them, you're toast.
  18. Apologies, always grabbing the wrong end of the stick
  19. This isn't a possible bug,it is a bug.All support weapons are a bit of a mare to set-up at the moment.Unless you use the "Move" button for a slight move then "Deploy",once they reach their final destination,it's a "where the **** are you guys going" moment.
  20. For CMFI,surely the next module will be a Commonwealth one,to finish Sicily off with a possible,The Road to Messina Campaign.Patton and Monty race to the finish line.My guess is a good as anyone's though
