At last someone got it
-
All well and good for you guys Stateside. If i pre-ordered here in the UK it would cost me more.I'd have to pay some bull**** import tax for the delivery of the disc. Now i'd happily pay upfront for just the download without the disc but it's not something BF cater for.Now i have faith and the money to put upfront for this game.I just want the download but i just don't have the option without being severely out of pocket for a disc i don't want.Nothing democratic about that now is there.I just don't have the choice

So we are all equal on this forum but some are More Equal than others,it would appear

Well at least these guys test and don't release a product until they're satisfied with it unlike others i could mention.A certain Rome product anybody.I got suckered with Empire and never went back. Wish i could get out of the habit of checking the BF forum every hour though and my,you never know attitude.I could be doing that for another few weeks yet,god forbid

Well today's the day.If it isn't then probably another 5 days.If it isn't the weekend then another 5 days.Rinse and repeat.Rinse and repeat

At Last!A minor victory in the second mission of this campaign.Even though i was playing through version 2(the easy version) for about the twentieth time,my guys still got brutally mauled by artillery taking that bloody hill.A great scenario but what a bitch to get through. "Ok guys, now for the next hill.......................................................guys?.......... Where the hell has everyone gone?"

AXIS - CMBN-Market Garden - BETA AAR
Brindlewolf replied to Bil Hardenberger's topic in Combat Mission Battle for Normandy
If it's tactically sensible to use terrain that is on the edge of the map.So be it.If the only other option is completely open terrain,i'll take the edge of the map. This game isn't an arcade game like COH with it's my techings better than your teching. It's about keeping your guys alive. If there's cover on the edge of the map, quite simply use it. -

Latest Patch for CMBN?
Brindlewolf replied to GerryCMBB's topic in Combat Mission Battle for Normandy
CMBN then CW(if you have it brings it up to 1.10) then 1.11 patch.Upgrade brings it to version 2.0 then there's a 2.01 patch that should bring you up to date bud. Bils using MG beta version i think which brings the game to 2.10 when it comes out. -

Looking forward to it Bill-The Man with the Plan.Love the AARs too. -
I think with Wego sure you can easily micro all your units and have all the time in the world to do so.Once that the button is pressed though, your guys are on their own.Where as in RT if your guys are in trouble you can easily adapt and pull them out.In Wego, you have to sit there with your head in your hands because you screwed up. That's why i feel if the time is short in a scenario, you get one throw of the dice in Wego and has the feeling your forced into moving.RT you can push and pull as you go.Each to their own but i don't like feeling rushed.Recon is key and not doing a Mad Max with all your forces and trying to bulldoze your way through enemy lines. I remember doing a bulldoze approach in a campaign when the game first came out and a few scenarios later. I had that Doh! moment when i realised that my most of the forces i needed for the scenario had been killed in my earlier escapdes. You live and you learn-Campaign restart and i'll take my time

Have a word on the help desk, give details of how and when you purchased and see what they say.If you've just bought CW then they might let you have a CMBN download but that's their call at the end of the day.If they do store the exec files somewhere.Good luck anyway bud -

You should have emails regarding keys when you purchased.Once installed they should stay on your com or they do with me.If you've lost them bud you'll need to get in touch with the help desk. You only get 10 downloads within the first year of purchase then thats it.I always save my exec files to documents then i can reinstall anytime. -
I'm with you on this Erwin.Short time limits and WEGO just don't mix.By the time you do a bit of recon and get shot to hell, half the scenario is gone. With RT you can do a bit of push and pull if you run into trouble that's just not possible with WEGO.It puts me off if a scenario is too short to reach your objectives. It's supposed to add to the challenge i suppose but most of the time it just feels out and out frustrating.
