  1. Humm the data folder - that does not sound right. There should be a short cut in the program's install directory called something similar to "Activate New Products - CMBS". On the machine I am at I only have CMBS installed. That short cut executes the command: %COMSPEC% /C "CM Black Sea.exe" -showui Which is what allows you to enter your keys. One run one key activation. This announcement covers this issue: http://community.battlefront.com/announcement/27-special-upgrade-4-tech-tips/ If that helps great - otherwise there is more going on and support will help you - repeatedly apparently
  2. If you found the activate module short cut and used that to enter the codes for the modules and it didn't work to activate them, then your only hope to open a ticket at the help desk. Use the blue button here: https://battlefront.mojohelpdesk.com/ . I'm only checking since I was not sure form your post if that is what you already did. I imagine they will want to know the codes from the disk too. The only other thing I could suggest to check is your store account. If you log into the store - where you bought the upgrade and see if in there there is a previous purchase for the two modules and check and make sure there isn't a code there for those modules that is different from what you already tried from the CD.
  3. My bold - When I read that I just cannot help but think of this:
  4. It will do the right thing. Meaning it will fill the screen and you will see a wider view given those pixel dimensions. The only black bar should be the one underneath like always.
  5. Games like CM do not run in a window so my guess is they will not make use of this.
  6. The BFC repository (first link) is in retirement - no new stuff can be added, most if not all moved to The Scenario Depot (second link). So yeah go to the Depot. Eventually the CMSF stuff will get listed on my listing site too but that will take a while.
  7. Nope, not for the games - or other programs. I do the same.
  8. That seems like a good compromise. As @Hister says the information shows up right away - even before the crew could figure it out. But as @Mord says the crew *would* know the condition of their vehicle. The issue stems from CM's modelling of all levels of command. The tank crew should know the condition of their vehicle - perhaps not instantaneously - but the company CO, Battalion CO and the player gets too much information because they have access to everything.
  9. I am glad you found it. No. This is due to changes in how M$ handle files for security issues. They wanted to move to a "all files in the Program Files directories are protected from alteration" situation. In earlier versions of windows programs could save files to their c:\Program Files\<programdir> to their hearts content and many did. That left things open for bad people do mess with stuff they should not be. So, M$ moved to lock it down. Programmers were expected / directed to stop doing that. There had long been places where programs could save this stuff but only some developers did (the AppData folder). But that left many current programs with problems. Windows 10 and I think Win 7 after an update (I am not 100% sure where the cut off was) forced the no writing to Program Files rule. Games like CMBN and CMSF which were written before this change had a problem. Right now when you install CMBN it will not even use the Program Files folder. I figured that CMSF did the same but clearly not. The installer was built quite a bit before the one used for CMBN so what you got with your CMSF was a cool trick that M$ allows for those older games to seem like they are writing to the Program Files folder but they really aren't. BFC are well aware of this. All their new installs install the immutable files to a folder under Program Files and the game's saves and other mutable files under your My Documents folder. Which makes M$ happy - to the extent that they care . So, rest assured that BFC will do a / the right thing with the install.
  10. I was only joking about trying to annoy him. Good idea. Even better. But yeah I have very little interest in making a video that features me so I totally get it. A few game play videos is enough for me and even then I have not made one in a loooooong time.
  11. Cool. Time to create a YouTube channel and post it over some game play footage Then we can all link to your video in the comments on his channel. Wait would that be considered annoying him? Perhaps, but who cares
  12. What do you hope will change? If a light vehicle has armour that is vulnerable to small arms then driving them into small arms range = bad outcome. I am a bit confused if you order a vehicle forward the enemy will try to take it out. If they have the ability to do that expect holes. That is what I expect - I hope that does not change. Unless I am missing your meaning.
  13. Oh that is cool. At the end they describe an op to take down the Daesh news web site and that several Western Intel analysis thought it was just a publicity stunt and not a valuable action. That seems weird to me. I would think getting the enemy to suspect their own information and argue about what is real and what is not is a good thing. Especially if the good guys can inject information they want into the news feed. Anyone got a thought or an article explaining that?
  14. I admit to enjoying seeing them in posts. Glad you like them.
  15. Yes, absolutely report this kind of thing here. So, just to be sure your team when through the solid side wall instead of the front where the door is shown. Correct. It is the kind of thing that take a while to actually see changed but they do.
  16. It does because it still tells a story. Very creative to approach it from a different point of view.
  17. He is still making content and does not want to try basically *the* war game that tries to portray a realistic combat situation? I figured this guy was not writing any more or something. How can you go on and on about wargames getting things wrong and not try ones you haven't tried yet?
  18. Oh that is a great game! And that is truly a WEGO system to. Both players picked their actions and then you saw how it turned out.
  19. Yep, I hear ya. Advice is still the same - open a support ticket. They at least can ask additional questions that might actually lead to resolution.
  20. LOL after posting that I did a quick search and found that I responded to a similar post with a similar answer - so apparently I actually have read about that problem before.
  21. Yikes. For starters and future reference the user help forum is here: http://community.battlefront.com/forum/114-cm2-general-tech-support/ Lots of help gets dispensed in there. Having said that I do not recognize that problem. I would recommend contacting support by opening a ticket here (click the blue new ticket button): https://battlefront.mojohelpdesk.com/
  22. Good explanation. I do something very similar but usually use slightly longer pauses 15s and if a team is small (like a two man HQ team) they get 20s instead. The only thing I would add is that if you do that bounding across a longer distance at the end of each turn I just check in to see how things are doing and adjust the pauses if needed. Like if one team is getting a head because they have smoother terrain they will get a bit more pause time. If any of the bounding is getting out of sync I tweak the pauses so they go back to covering each other.
  23. Yes. The animation applies to all soldiers so both sides soldiers will be using the mod on the machine that has it. So if the mod is on the machine that is calculating the turn every solider performing buddy aid will be treated the same - treated as being prone. If the machine doing the calculation does not have the mod then every solider performing buddy aid will be treated the same - as kneeling.
