  1. All one pattern for SS other ranks. No mix. There are multiple skins of the same pattern with slight variations in light, colour, and wear. Mostly for subliminal effect, to remove the clone impression.
  2. Not possible as you must pick a side. i would think this could have been easily implemented as it doesn't change the game mechanics. Each force would be on auto pilot following the AI routines instead of one. Not sure what would be gained by this tho.
  3. looks Awsome. Just release one building at a time as a separate mod each time you finish one.
  4. The Waffen SS uniform in the game is of the highest quality. The fabric stressed seams, detail to the folded pocket borders, and edge wear is all there. I doubt a modder could hold a candle to it. But the colours chosen with its dark brown base tone throughout represent a type 2 pattern perhaps not commonly associated with the Pea dot m43 pattern by most people. So I think there is room for another skin here. The more common 2 tone tan and olive base Type 1 Dot Peas pattern. The only markings would be an eagle on the left sleeve.
  5. This is similar to an exagerated response I saw from an airborne squad while walking past an abandoned Kubelwagen. Suddenly the satchel charges and mills bombs go flying. Troops opening up in full auto point blank. The K-wagen a smoldering heap by now, and the troops carry merrily along. You don't think we might need those satchel charges somewhere else eh sarge?
  6. Good Pick-up. Maybe it was used instead because the heer model stretched the pattern at the seam, which I noticed when i was fiddling with cam patterns way back. just a guess.
  7. Yes I do have some variations including black trousers.
  8. Hasso von Manteuffel on the left, and maybe Willy Langkeit on the right.
  9. This is preliminary work. I do plan on having variations of the clean wrap without badges, and the veteran worn out wrap with badges. Also the dark pants with pea dot wrap jacket. This is to replace the oak pattern now in the game. Still more to do. But its taking shape. Also included a re-enactor example that serves as a pretty good comparison. Game Pics are unretouched.
  10. A little off topic, but that is probably why you see alot of pictures of CW soldiers using MP 40's in built up areas.
  11. Correct. And you decide where to draw the line for the win threshold. [WIN THRESHOLD] total defeat, major defeat, tactical defeat, minor defeat, draw, minor victory, tactical victory, major victory, total victory
  12. I scripted a few of my own scenarios in TOW2. It was only 3 or 4 pages of various script commands to learn. And the compiler that came with the game high lighted mistakes right away so it was pretty easy to get them to work. Yet the possibilities were almost limitless. Triggers would be great on the simple side for setting victory conditions for ending the game. On the complex side having units actually search to contact and converge on large maps. I must say though that the integrated tac AI of the individual soldier in CM is better than any other game of this sort out there to date (Op Star holds its own too).
  13. Depends what you set your win threshold at but it comes down to "Next battle if Win," or "Next battle if Lose." So I'm seeing only two paths max. You could design it as a TOTAL VICTORY goes on to a particular scenario and everything else from MAJOR VICTORY and below takes the alternate next battle. But it comes down to 2 alternate scenarios. Hope I have this right.... second opinion please.
  14. Yes you need a core formation to attach your single vehicles to. The smallest formation is the forward observer section. You can delete all the formation units you don't want except for the HQ I believe.
  15. .......Thanks BF for answering my previous question. but the file renamed is associated to LW models only, or at least using LW troops as SS in that respect ...I think.
  16. Aren't the SS infact repainted Werhmacht models? Did I miss something? I thought they were the same models. No difference. I would have preferred, and was hoping to get a single actual smock modelled SS soldier with buttoned collar and no lapel edges. I think it would have been acceptable for every SS to look like this, knowing the texture patterns could have been varied or mixed in different colors and combos for that one model.
  17. During the Anglo-Canadian Operation Spring, July 25 1944, artificial moonlight was created by bouncing searchlights off the clouds over the objectives. I would like to see some ambient light sources in the game, reflective night buildings vs day buildings without the need to set fire to perfectly serviceable vehicles.
  18. Graphics: no need to photoshop a picture to make it look good. But many of the example pictures are staged with lighting, choosing the right camera angle and time of day can really show off the art. Also zooming in with the X key.
  19. Definitely Pea Dot, Erbsentarn, looking at the source bitmap. Its hued towards the green as the predominent shade which makes it appear a little new or greener than some reproductions using twill cotton, but its an authentic option since it is patterned on the tunic. I was really hoping for a new soldier model with covered lapels. The panzer tunic as stated is an Oak, maybe type A, which was not so prevalent as wrap around tunic. They were made but from what I gather there were problems getting them distributed to their intended units in large numbers.
  20. under AI Support Target: (dropdown box) select smoke. its occurs at the very beginning of a scenario. And you could use the enemy AI smoke as friendly smoke no one would know. Not sure what your intent is. nobody is going to remember troop placement from those pics just kiddin
  21. The timing and windage may not be right but you can have the AI use up all of its smoke with a prep at the very beginning. You could buy some very big offmap stuff and have them do a smoke prep as well, but don't be surprised if a FOO calls them in for HE later on. UCG that looks really really good, I'm trying to not recall the location of the enemy units in the pictures for when i play it, which I'm looking forward to. What wall mod is that?
