Both PT and George MC make amazing work. There are other excellent scenario designers and map makers as well. They might not get paid for their work but they are far from amatures in my book. Hats of for these guys and big thanks for all the hard work that bring us so much joy!

Play both game and love them, especially combined, but this comparison is not worth anything. Totally agree with wombles last post. If one spread out a coy in treanches over a 1km x 1km map and the opposing player, with FOW use one 105 (4 guns) barrage on this map to try and do as much damage as possible, one would come closer to the casualtie count in PzC. Its a totaly different thing if you have good knowledge of where the enemy is and can zero in the barrage.

I for one would preffer packs that include as much as possible of what was actually used in theatre, rather than what ifs.

The editor might seem a bit daunting at first, but I think its very easy to work with (elevation is handled very smart). Open a map and expand it, its easy and you see what typs of terrain to use to make it all blend. Doing this you will also learn from other map makers, building up your own skills. A random generator would be great of course, but several reasons has been raised why this is complex and not a priority.

Great news! Would also pre order if shipping wasent so expensive. With the DL option only its a no brainer for me. If that wasent possible I would pre order on day one.. must have CM! Cant wait for the new MG code also in the Italian theatre.

John Tillers Panzer Campaigns series is a very good option.

seamountanda, Sound mods should work, just make sure you remove your Z folder during the install. Bring it back afterwords and it should work with no problems. No crash will be caused by files in the Z folder if they dont have the correct name, it just wont read any that are not named correctly. So we might have to rename some older mods to have them work properly when GL is released.

Will get everything but I look most forward to the return of the Ost front most of all.

This is what I do as well. If Im moving from A to C and halt/pause at B, I dont want the team to deploy their weapon as that will prevent them to move out again at an instant.
