CMFDR replied to poesel's topic in Combat Mission Final Blitzkrieg
Great work Poesel, do you need details on CM Normandy Battle Pack's locations? -

CMFDR replied to Vergeltungswaffe's topic in CM Final Blitzkrieg Maps and Mods
I tried 5% but I couldn't see trough the dense foliage in training campaign's 2nd mission so I gone for 5%. I'll do a 10% and distant trees in separate brz. You are welcome btw. -
Good to know, thank you Vanir Ausf B!

Mod request: Transparent trees
CMFDR replied to Vergeltungswaffe's topic in CM Final Blitzkrieg Maps and Mods
Of course Juju, there are new files for each tree in FB though, eg. : final blitzkrieg v100a\terrain\foliage\tree 2\tree-2-leaves [autumn].bmp final blitzkrieg v100a\terrain\foliage\tree 2\tree-2-leaves [snow].bmp final blitzkrieg v100a\terrain\foliage\tree 2\tree-2-leaves [spring].bmp final blitzkrieg v100a\terrain\foliage\tree 2\tree-2-leaves [winter].bmp final blitzkrieg v100a\terrain\foliage\tree 2\tree-2-leaves.bmp That's why I get ahead and made my first mod. However I'm sure it will be superseded by your own work anytime. -

Was looking for one too and found Rambler's instructions instead, so I gave it a try : http://superdupontzeserveur.fr/cm/zT2Close5.7z (42 Mb) (Translucent tree leaves with 5% Opacity) -
Heya modders, in case it may be of any use, here's a list of all files one can find in each brz files so one know which one to explode to get a specific file. http://superdupontzeserveur.fr/cm/final_blitzkrieg_v100.txt (I think that this spoiler plugin could be useful on the forum : https://invisionpower.com/4guides/themes-and-customizations/javascript-framework/using-ui-widgets/ipsuispoiler-r60/ ) All the best.

If it helps, I would like to betatest for you Juju, and I can work on a French speaking version too.

Combat Mission: TTP
CMFDR replied to General Jack Ripper's topic in Combat Mission Battle for Normandy
Roger that SLIM, it could be an opportunity for a first map but, as you said, there's no handy firing range available around and yours may still help players. Ho yeah! While it may sound obvious to seasoned wargamers, how not to waste your supports and manage to put them in position without being destroyed themselves first would definitely be something valuable to learn. looking forward to both of your time hungry material -
Combat Mission: TTP

Silly question SLIM : are the maps you are using in your vids available somewhere, especially the firing range? I would like to experiment things a bit and your playgrounds are just perfect for that. -

Thanks for the scenario design AAR book with the BS download
CMFDR replied to Bahger's topic in Combat Mission Black Sea
Hey there, I was under the impression that the document would Black Sea related, going more in depth regarding the background and so forth, but the document "A Scen Design AAR PDF Book.pdf", as good as it is, is all about CMBN. Did I miss something here? -
@JonS, have you had the opportunity to upload a fixed version of the cmpn yet? Great research and mapmaking job by the way, the variants of a given situation makes me want more of the same kind, thinking it would be useful to learn the ropes and how to handle diffrent armies CM is giving us to play with.

My mistake, I was talking about the CM Engine Manual v3.00.

Thanks a lot Der Alte Fritz. Have a good one.

The “Guadalcanal” of CMBN scenarios?
CMFDR replied to SteveP's topic in Combat Mission Battle for Normandy
It works marvelously since it's referring to the well known movie: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/La_Cage_aux_Folles_(film) -
The “Guadalcanal” of CMBN scenarios?
CMFDR replied to SteveP's topic in Combat Mission Battle for Normandy
SteveP, while not enjoying it that much (since I don't enjoy to be butchered), I think that such a tribute may deserve to be experienced by a larger player base and for that, I would like to be allowed to translate it in French and spread it through the french speaking community on Appui-feu.com Of course, the diffusion will be under your control as I'll keep you informed about its success and about the feedback, if you want so.
