  2. It can be surpising what works well and what just doesn't.....Recently been impressed by the AI's route-finding on complex city maps with just a single waypoint Dash Order.
  3. TBH the first thing I do once I fall in love with a QB map is delete all the AI plans (sorry)! It does that. TBH if a few more people tried making and testing a few AI plans, there would be an awful lot less moaning on this forum (and a lot more creativity).
  4. I suspect we've all seen our pixeltruppen stare despondently at a receding cloud of dust at some point.....It's when you don't notice and the silly b******s set off after their transport on foot that things really start to go to pot!
  5. Yeah, that's the way of it.....I have no idea if it will work. The biggest thing I've seen transferred by buddy-aid is a Javelin CLU & one missile, but that's in a very different CM.
  6. This, exactly. You can embark troops while a vehicle is held stationary by the Pause command.....Just need to pause long enough. Disembarking only happens fom a vehicle that has completed all of its plotted movement.
  7. Could be down to an empty AI plan left open by accident? Doesn't explain the deployment zones issue though.
  8. A PAK-Front type scenario, built around an AT Gun Battery, on a moderate to large map might be an amusing way to find out the answer to your question.
  9. AFAIK anyone will count (assuming they are not panicking).....An exception might be CM:SF2 Uncon Spies, I don't think I've ever checked.
  10. Says who? Scripting for tiny forces is not impossible.....Just difficult & bloody time consuming (unless you want twenty minutes of nothing happening followed by a thirty second bloodbath)!

Get a new tech guy, fully blank everything, reinstall Win 10, fully update it, disable defender, create install directory, install games, create defender exclusion for directory, restart defender, play games! PS - Tell the new tech guy that playing CM is what you are paying him for and don't let him leave until you can.....You are an American so I am assuming that you have a gun?

As I'm scripting for small units moving through a city right now, I can only imagine how long it took to test the AI plans for that lot.....Just one more thing that those bleating loudest for rapid release have absolutely no conception of, I strongly suspect. Yet they'd also be the first to complain if pixeltruppen started doing the zombie-march-of-doom down all the main roads during their QB adventures!

Just watched a brief duel between two Uncon Fighter Sniper Teams plus a Three Man Sniper Group (all Veteran with Extreme or Fanatic morale) in the upper floors of buildings and a pair of unbuttoned T-55 Tanks.....The tanks actually fired the first shots (when the snipers revealed themself by shooting at something else), but they still came off second best!
  14. It's kinda violent and features very small units.....One of the issues I face with testing scenarios is 'How daunting does this look to the player?' As the designer I know there are dozens of potential avenues of approach through convoluted streets and blocks of interconnected buildings and I know where they are too.....But the player won't, he'll have to discover them by trial and error. What I'm trying to get right now is giving the player the tools to avoid making too many errors and balancing the cost of any errors that they do make, to avoid inducing a 'rage-quit'. Population Density is set to Very Heavy, so units can get very close without making contact.....The scout in the image above entered some buildings with a short 1800 frontal target arc and saw some very scary things, so he left pronto with the arc still up. In the next turn he wound up running down an alley, following about 3m behind an OSIRIS gunman! The gunman never saw him and he never opened up because of the target arc which was now 1800 behind him, by the end of the turn they had gone their seperate ways! The biggest issue I'm having with this scenario right now is the lack of radios (Again! ).....I'm adding a provisional rule for this whereby, Spies & Spy Forward Observer units are deemed to be in mobile phone contact with all other units. Any unit may act on information gathered by one of these units. @Battlefront.com This Red radio/C2 thing really needs to be addressed.
