"You'll never take me alive, copper!" Love the new SUV. PS - Have you been following the 'Third Generation Street Gang' articles at SWJ: https://smallwarsjournal.com/jrnl/art/third-generation-gangs-strategic-note-no-25-18th-street-barrio-18-demonic-santa-muerte -
Somali pirates take a ship full of T-72 tanks
Sgt.Squarehead replied to ChrisND's topic in Combat Mission Shock Force 1
Gonna drag this fascinating discussion out of its crypt, as it's a damned fine read and, let's be honest, the piracy and general squabbling in the region is still ticking over nicely.....Here's another new angle (and another potential Red vs. Red scenario): https://www.almasdarnews.com/article/sudan-warns-of-all-out-war-with-neighboring-ethiopia/?utm_campaign=steempress&utm=dailybrief -
How to make the 57mm AT gun shoot APDS?
Sgt.Squarehead replied to Bulletpoint's topic in Combat Mission - General Discussion
@IanL This might merit investigation IMHO, sabot is very important to the Aliies, or it should be. -
Soldiers with MP44 not firing
Sgt.Squarehead replied to Drifter Man's topic in Combat Mission Battle for Normandy
It's all useful information.....In the past I've used the 'Hunt' move to the same action spot the unit currently occupies, in an attempt to get them to spot & engage units that should be within their LOS, but which, for whatever reason, they could not see. Sometimes it works, sometimes it doesn't. Just waiting for them to spot on thir own might well be equally effective, but at least it feels like I did something. -

Agree wholeheartedly. Nobody does it better, then or now. -
Using smoke in CM
Sgt.Squarehead replied to fivefivesix's topic in Combat Mission Battle for Normandy
Dude, it's smoke, not a force field! Looks pretty well dispersed in those images too. -
Fire and rubble (questions) :-)
Sgt.Squarehead replied to Bubba883XL's topic in Combat Mission Red Thunder
Fair comment.....It would require some work. PS - A bunch of us have said it, and it's still a good idea.....Add in some goodies from CM:BS to bring CM:SF2 up to date, it's not like the fighting's stopped since 2008, is it? -
Fire and rubble (questions) :-)
Sgt.Squarehead replied to Bubba883XL's topic in Combat Mission Red Thunder
CM2 needs a Kursk pack IMHO. -
I've been trying to make one for ages, still got little more than a few interesting mounds of rubble.....Very hard to do, just as you say.

CMA Unofficial Screenshot Thread
Sgt.Squarehead replied to MOS:96B2P's topic in Combat Mission Afghanistan
Yup, me too. For me it's the Mujahideen Battalion that has the most appeal.....A properly organised Uncon force, equipped with s**tloads of breach charges. Give me that in CM:SF2 and I'll give you a MOUT battle to remember....."They're coming out of the goddam walls!"
