  1. You could just open a ticket and have it sorted out pretty quick. Steve has been very reponsive.
  2. Yes it is. I have both currently. Also it is always true that you need to be at same game engine level to play an opponent.
  3. If it is a pre upgrade save that is expected. From what I understand it may sort out the next turn, but I don't know that for certain.
  4. Is the question based on real life military experience or from a first person shooter game where reloading a full clip has absolutely nothing to do with actually checking how many rounds are in a clip or trying to add rounds to a clip? Just curious, I have no military background and have no idea what someone in the field would do.
  5. Yeah I don't recall Steve ever committing to back porting tank riders to CMBN. Including them in CMFB was more a concession to German practice and mobility issues in late 1944. We might see it back ported to CMBN, but I know of no commitment to do so. Then again I have been known to be wrong more often than not
  6. Brand new will be 4.0. The full installer is set for that. Same for the others. All new full installers are 4.0. Italy should be along in January was I think the last word from Steve.
  7. Hey cobetco be great if you can post a link to a save. I can't do anything with it till Tuesday. Maybe another beta tester will come along before but if not I will report then.
  8. Btw peeking around corners is now in 4.0. :-D.
  9. Well another Christmas morning in the MBT and not much has changed. Boo is passed out in the gutter in front of house Rune face down in his own vomit. Nice Boo. Didn't get much sleep as that damn donkey was firing off his shotgun all night screaming something about freakin reindeer getting all the attention. To my liege Joe Shaw Knight Champion of the M.B.T., Justicar for Life of the Peng Challenge Thread, Creator of the Peng Challenge Thread Podcast, Cesspool Drain Commissioner and Founder of the Shavian House I raise a glass whilst spraying down the gutter with a Shavian House garden hose. You are welcome Boo, Merry Christmas. It was the least I could do... literally.
  10. That has always been problematic as to during what phase you saved the game. If I were you I would install the new version in a new folder and finish your pbem in the old, saves hassle and guarantees you will be able to finish your pbem.
  11. CMSF is in a completely different state than the other games so any projections for it should keep that in mind.
  12. Yeah, I think regarding dogs it is more the sense of smell. Odors are gonna carry regardless of how stealthily one is trying to be.
  13. *sniff* yikes and what a wind! Geez you need to warn folks if you are gonna let one like that go.
  14. Simple- "Thank you sir" and then scurry out taking your new found feelings of humiliating inferiority with you.
  15. Errr that looks "American" to you? Maybe I should visit Seattle.
  16. Ha, I can do that now without some annoying little anime character. ?
  17. why would you share ammo with 2 morons who just wasted all theirs? See the game simulates rationale decision making by commanders who realize some nit is wasting a precious resource! Amazing!
  18. no sense getting personal. We all have our subjective view and critical points that bother us. Apparently Bulletpoint has hit his on this. *shrug* You aren't gonna make him like it by insulting him. Personally I love the game and the graphics issues I see are no worse than some of the several million dollar budget games I've played (and I am not limiting myself to war games here). Take a stroll over to some of forums for those and see the tirades and hair pulling. CM does have it's limitations both in graphics and game play, but overall it is the most stable most consistent game I have and yeah sometimes I see some shadow glitches, but other times it is just stellar.
  19. Why the US? Gambling seems to be universal to some degree or another. I once did an install for the San Pablo casino. Amazing to watch how sensitive Chinese gamblers were to where they sat at the table. Seems some Feng Shui stuff overlaps with gambling luck. Check out the Pachinko joints in Japan, they are everywhere. The rules are you can't gamble for money, but there is a lucrative side trade on the adjoining streets where you can trade your winnings for real stuff.
  20. Nah you withhold the wine unless they meet certain deliverables. Just enough wine/beer to keep them motivated.
  21. Wow and people worry here about a $10 upgrade. I have heard of a few people I know playing stuff like this and shelling out major bucks. Sounds almost like a gambling addiction.
  22. I thought they all dropped to their knees and raised their hands to the sky while jerking like a puppet on a string a la William Defoe in Platoon.
  23. So you counted on people's laziness? Not a bad idea LOL Though that would eliminate even good ideas My point about Steve already having a list is, it is Steve's list. Not ours. I am sure there is plenty of overlap, but I have a strong suspicion that Steve long ago tuned out ideas coming from us if for no other reason than we are really repetitive.
