No idea what you mean. CMSF2 has nothing to do with CMSF1 and any mods you have for that game should be working exactly as they did before. Are you trying to apply mods for other games to CMSF1? BF has not touched CMSF1.

about freakin time you slacker! Get to work! Welcome back

Will old scenarios and campaigns work for CMSF2?

and instead of starting from scratch, there are all these scenarios that can be adapted with new AI plans. -
Modern Day to WW2 worth it?
sburke replied to SubCmdr's topic in Combat Mission - General Discussion
Tough choice, but I'd either go with Mikey's suggestion for something with more weather differences than you'll experience in the modern titles or go to CMBN for sheer volume of material and variety of units. -

too funny. looking at scenario depot and realizing just how much material you created yourself. So can we take it from your comment that you have tons of new material in mind? Please say, why of course I do! -
it isn't the DL, it is the file itself. It is being looked at and should be corrected soon.

Man where do I start. Circle the Wagons, Chris's TF panther campaign, CIMIC house, LLF's Ramadi map and the scenarios created for it. There is just so much really high quality stuff out there. Scroll through the scenario depot at the CMSF list. It'd have been a shame to lose those. Erwin is spot on. I haven't even scratched the surface of the material available. A lot of those scenarios can be reworked to create new ones. CMSF2 at launch keeps the wealth of scenarios that outstrips every other title. The value add is enormous. -

I still have that map. Actually 3 versions. One that I started filling in based on hedgerow country. One as a whole other concept I had and the original. -
Lol don’t you dare. This is a kid friendly website

Remind me never to hang out with you at a funeral. Well both get tossed.

np it is not the MAC package, that unzips as an installer, so apparently the windows installer is somehow messed up. Notice sent

I had an extremely dear friend of mine pass away many years ago totally unexpectedly. So I am at the funeral which was really really hard being an open casket and she passing way too young. I walk up to pay my respects and I had this nearly uncontrollable urge to just laugh hysterically. The cause of death was a blood clot that cause an embolism. The blood clot was caused several days prior when she was at a telecom conference and inadvertently twisted her ankle while flagging a cab. The reason I wanted to laugh so hard was I could hear her in my head saying no freakin way did I die from a twisted ankle, no freakin way. Who dies from a twisted ankle? She would have been so pissed off and annoyed. I could see the expression on her face, the disgust and yes even a hint of laughter that she could go in such a ridiculous manner. Humor around death is not an abnormal reaction. It is a coping mechanism. In this case I didn't take the comment at all in the context of the OP and the accident but rather the visuals from the JU 52 vid. *shrug* So no Ironcat, you don't get a free trip to Antarctica. If all the rest is true about your PTSD, sorry man. I seriously doubt that you'd go truly un-mourned. Most of us do not appreciate the folks around us and how much they really do care.

I don't think it is your issue. I just DL'd and unzipped and what comes out is not what it should be. I'll escalate with BF. I am wondering if it is the MAC version despite me having selected windows.

A few years back I was in Seoul on business. My wife had come and her mother and sister from Japan hooked up with us. So here we are in the street scene in Seoul just me and my mother in law. Across the street is this high end converse store so to practice my pitiful little bit of Japanese we had a conversation about how when I was young those were the inexpensive brand that is now ridiculously over priced.
-
Ha I would never confuse Converse, they were the footwear of choice when I was growing up wading into creeks. At how much they cost now my parents would have killed me for doing that.

This is what they created dark fiber for. -
To start getting in the mood, might want to watch this again. Reported By Cy Burnett and his photo journalist Mack Rolens. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=QMDxhIkgwJg

Posters are a pain, but they are possible. ATM machines in CMSF are similar. The ideal point to join them seems to be at an AS edge. Buildings that go a half tile over seem to be particularly difficult to align. The ATM machine always sits just a bit off the wall. I have used them sparingly on my Venafro map. They add a nice touch, but overdoing it will create more work and issues than they are worth. Also one thing to note is flavor items can affect movement. I once had a breach team blow a wall then refuse to enter because a bench was there. Barrels too close to doorways are another item I have seen affect a units movement. It is best not to place too many flavor items in restrictive locations. I really like maps with a lot of detail, but it is something to keep in mind that detail can come with a price.

you youngsters always harping on your ambushes. I step outside to get the paper and something is burning on my porch, of course I am gonna step on it. Oh wait you meant something else.... Yeah back in the early days of CMBN, when wire was a bug and we didn't have overlays in the editor. Between Broadsword and LLF we were looking at having all of the front mapped around St Lo. -

This was actually a requirement for Steve to do the project. If they couldn't we likely would not have CMSF2. He discussed this in a couple posts some time ago. -

deer in the headlights I believe. One of the things the Mahdi used to do in Sadr city is set up lights on generators and if the US raided at night they'd kick on the lights to take away the night vision advantage. That is sometime ago and that may have changed since. -

whew Broadsword it worked! All that BS I typed finally got him to revisit this map from way back in early CMBN
