  1. Sometimes I can never work out why people have issues with certain Game UI's, this series being one of them. Maybe if I wa snew and playing real time it could get on top for me..but WEGO gives me enough time to select and issue the right moves for what I want. Recently the game that did give me trouble was Elite Dangerous. Oh and things like DCS flight Sims are to much for me aswell...now they to me a real steep learning curve headaches. Though I suppose there are those out there who have no trouble with them. I see WEGO as the game giving me the time to decide on what to do where a trained soldier would know pretty much instantly.
  2. Womble I undertsand they aren't tutorials. Its just sometimes starying up a cmapiagn and then faced with a huge battle straight off can feel daunting. I suppose I like a gradual entrance into it. Yes played DD and loved it.
  3. First off I can't thank enough all those who have made campaigns for the the games. I love them and they have enhanced the game's longevity no end. My only gripe is many of them (Actually stock can be the same) start off with massive battles. When I'd rather have the size slowley built up during the campaign. Sometimes these big battles right away are daunting. So if anyone is thinking of making a campaign I'd be very happy if at least the first scenario wasn't huge..and we slwoley get drawn into bigger battles. I'd actually love a campaign made up of tiny to medium size battles only. Thanks
  4. Just wondering why I can have some Zug's with a Leader and others with a Commander. Also why the highest HW on the map had a Leader not a commander...So what is the difference?
  5. Due to Customs etc I'm another waiting for download only release.
  6. I'm very surprised that soldier and vehicle scales should be out of kilter. I always thought BF was really ontop of things like this.
  7. Also remember there was a good network of trenches in the area aswell. I imagine trying to do fortified houses is going to be difficult.
  8. NPye...playing with the 305th Division for me will be so immersive after reading Into Oblivion by Jason Mark. Really can't wait. I've just got to Octobe rin the book where the 305th is being moved up into Stalingrad. So the timing is near perfect. If you need any names of the leaders of the regiments of 305th at the time just message me. I'm torn between wanting to test and then just wanting to be suprised at the release.
  9. and sadly the British and other allied nations never looked at developing the combined arms idea after the war. However the Germans did, they could see the huge potential in the Tank and so worked on pefecting combined arms with increasingly more advanced AFV's and so where miles ahead at the start of WW2. The British had decided there wouldn't be another War and really didn't want to contemplate Warfare and hwo to fight future wars, nor really take a look at the Tank and how to really unleash it's full potential in combined arms warfare.
  10. Our Online Store is down for brief maintenance. We apologize for this inconvenience and we do appreciate your business, so please try again later today. Is this it?
  11. RockinHarry..very intresting findings. I'm one of those who has posted about gunner death rates, just recently infact. Others posted their thoughts and it seemed I needed to re evaluate my tactics rather than anything not quite right with the game. Now however I'm starting to think the ease in which gunners are killed is questionable again. Your findings so far seem to point in that direction. I would like BF to go back and do some in depth testing. The difference between German HMG42 and USA US M1919A4 is also something that prob needs a close look at by BF aswell.
  12. KohlenKlau, It's a superb book isn't it? I wouldn't part with mine. I have Death of a Leaping horsemen, Besieged and Into Oblivion aswell. Really do love his books. Looking forward to his new one due out soon. Expensive but well worth the money.
  13. I have Island of Fire by Jason Mark which gives a fair bit of info for it. Maybe I shall.
  14. I'd like to see a mini campaign focussing on the Barrikady Factory and the Pioneer Attack.
  15. Anyone know if this ever got finished? Was an 18 mission campaign I believe. Alot of work there wasted if it's not avialable anywhere.
  16. Below you'll find Sie Kommen II Shimi's March Campaigns
  17. WOW alot more than I realsied. Must track them down.
  18. George finished the first scenario. very fe casualties and only a jeep left for the Russains and all obj taken. But I only got a draw, and the enxt scenario starts saying I had a defeat and chad to pull back... I understand the Russian get points for spotting but I'd thought if I cleared the map I'd get a minor win? Although it did say the Russians had 51 men left but non where on screen and I went to the end.
  19. One reason why I still don't own the Italy game was it didn't seem to have any user made scenarios compared to others in the series. Seems I was worng. Looking back I think I should have bought Italy over Black Sea which hasn't grabbed me the way i thought it would.
  20. I'd like to see Inf animations improved..maybe abit more variety and the walking and hunting animation looked at. Also be able to set formations. Things catching fire and fire soreading. Really that's about it for me. Oh and maybe an award\medal feature for campaigns.
