  1. Is CM3 something we will see in the future? Time goes by and we all get older and I expect a new game would take at least 5 years to develop minimum. So I was wondering is CM2 and some future modules the extent of CM's future or is CM3 on the drawing board as a future project?
  2. I do think it's time for infantry animation improvements. Would pay for that alone. Will buy Cold War but prob pass on this. Really want 41\42.
  3. I'm having serious lag issues using steam version of SF2 and BS. Bad enough to make game unplayable. Watching the turn is fine but trying to move the camera, give orders, click on a unit etc etc becomes increasingly laggy to the point input is registered a minute after I had pressed mouse button or tried to move around map etc.
  4. Would love to see an inf animation upgrade. Would pay for that alone.
  5. ANything new in game thats non game specific and will be released in patches to update the other games? New animations, improved tac ai etc etc?
  6. Well modernish isn't normally my thing, however, as Bil is involved then for me it's a must buy. Anything he has a hand in is a no brainer for me. Exciting.
  7. It's cool. I wasn't the team member who wrote the review. I will pass the feedback on. This has been the harshest feedback we've ever had. I do ask my team to try and add their personality to the writing. I have done a CMx2 review myself which got very good feedback. At the time it was Wargamers review that came in for some negative feedback. My review https://www.awargamersneedfulthings.co.uk/2016/04/combat-mission-final-blitzkrieg-review_87.html I actually don't mind feedback that's negative as long as it's with in reason and has a point. It will help us improve future reviews. Tells us what the reader wants. I've emailed the team linking to this forum post. I do hope everyone sticks with us. We are all amateurs. None of us gets paid for this. However we do want to be as good as those professional review websites. I know we have the talent to match if not exceed some professional websites out there. PS. Joe the reviewer thanks everyone for the feedback. He said he welcomes this kind of feedback as he can take it on board and then work on improving his writing style. (He did say this release was a tricky one to take on with it being an updated previous release and the first to go on Steam).
  8. Our review https://www.awargamersneedfulthings.co.uk/2020/09/combat-mission-shock-force-2.html
  9. Not so sure. There are a few wargames on there that could have been attacked that way but haven't. Aslong as it's advertised correctly I see no problems myself. Look at GGWar in the East. That wasn't trashed.
  10. HAven't watched the video, but I believe Germans where instructed to carry their rifle one handed whilst attacking forward? I think I mentioned this to BF awhile ago. Would be cool to see nations carry their arms in the way they did historically.
  11. I hate real time games, however Graviteam manage to develop something very special. Take time to learn the UI and you'll love the series. No click fest here. Nothing so far really comes close to CMx2 series and Graviteam series for tactical warfare.
  12. I actually only just finished the book (highly recommended) when I notice the Finnish have just released a war film based on it called Unknown Soldier. It's a long one at 3hrs but blo#dy amazing film with English subs. Can't recommend it enough.
  13. Thanks Wicky. Never thought of that! Of course exhaustion will affect it! Well it's good to see this sort of thing in game I suppose.
  14. Well restarted and again it seems something is odd. HQ spotter has LOS, Mortar unit right next to him. I gave a linear fire order. He procedes to drop rounds in the middle of the field which is half way between spotter and target. Yes it's Road to Nijmegen. As for the Spitfire it was just frustrating seeing him shoot up the same spot every run. Edit: This time he is firing long see save 16. In save 17 I've given more mortar orders. See what happens . Save games
  15. Playing the first battle in a Campaign which I've played previously and I'm certain I never noticed this last time I played it awhile back. Think there are 7 US mortars each with 20 rounds. I doubt 1 round actually landed where I asked them to land. Then the Spitfire comes to strafe. There is a line of three enemy guns and for some reason the pilot only wanted to shoot at one of them which was taken out first strafe yet he became obsessed with it and every pass ignored the other two guns and blasted away at the by now very wasted gun. The outcome of all this means the mission is way more difficult. SO I'm wondering if there is an issue currently with indirect fire and it's accuracy?
  16. I apologise. I never knew there where lots of similar threads.
  17. I still enjoy CM2. I just feel progress on the whole probably hasn't been as quick as BF would have liked, could be wrong here though. It just doesn't seem at all likely we will get to Early East Front with the CM2 engine. I think it's just starting to show some age and with the increase in PC power since CM2 first came out and 64bit there is plenty of horsepower in hand for CM3. Four things I'd love to have\see. SOP's, Rooms in buildings, exciting close combat animations and finally improvement of current infantry animations aswell as more variation. That would do it for me!
  18. If CM3 is coming out it better be early East Front upto end '42!!
  19. I too want to see 41 to end 42. More than any other game\module.
  20. FIRE!!!! I am the god of hell fire.... Still back to game like to see fire spread,
