  1. OK just downloading CMFI and Upgrade 4. I haven't played CMFI at all (the only one I didn't own until now). Anyway expect to see a review over at AWNT shortly:) Jason
  2. Part 2 of Matts article on the progress and ups and downs so far. Part One Part Two
  3. The possible future game that will add an operational layer to CMBN Theater of Operations has a two part article being published over at A Wargamers Needful Things..part 2 follows shortly. LINK
  4. Some Fiction gets book of the week over at AWNT LINK LINK
  5. Everything I presume (though obviously Rome to Victory wasn't discussed previously). Depends on Battlefront:)
  6. Once version 4 is out expect to see a CMFI review at A Wargamers Needful Things
  7. It's not your campaign that's the problem..it's happening in my other CM games aswell.:)
  8. Actually it's just happened in my First Blitz game in the Road to Bastogne campaign..not sure what's happening..just suddenly stops responding
  9. Upgraded to Version 4 but now the campaign will just go to the busy windows cursor as soon as you click on a unit. Anyone else have this issue?
  10. AWNT review the eagerly awaited Torment: Tides of Numenera rpg http://www.awargamersneedfulthings.co.uk/search/label/review
  11. Damn it's great when new blood fall the game in this way:) Welcome:) Oh abit of advice. For single player I say stick to the premade scenarios and campaigns..easy enough out there to keep you happy for years. Quick battle is really best for PBEM/multiplayer.
  12. Well I really enjoyed the first mission...slow and steady with lots of area and suppressive fire won the day
  13. It happens on one particular scenario (I'm using engine 4). When I come across it again I'll post which scenario as I can't remember at the moment..it will be one of the campaigns though (user made one)
  14. Has anyone else had the Skdfz 251-1 skin change as you being the camera closer..it seems to be choosing a different skin at the closest LOD.. IF so did they fix it if so how:)?
  15. Everything from them is golden:) I own five of their books so far and love everyone. LINK to Iron Cross Brigade review
  16. Not necessary..the person who would make and revamp the animations might not be the person who creates new gameplay features or research and input new TOE for new modules or make the scenarios and campaigns etc..so it is plausible an animation DLC (which has no other effect on gameplay except visual) could be developed alongside new modules or game series with little impact on development time.
  17. A Wargamers Needful Things reviews the latest WH40K PC game Sanctus Reach. Is this the closest we've got to with regards to the actual minis game? Click link to find out.. CLICK LINK TO REVIEW
  18. Michael just turn it off from starting up with windows:) I always make sure only the vital things like sound, internet security and graphic applications start up with Windows. I check reguralry that nothing has sneaked it's way in.
  19. Haven't played it. As for Steam I have loads of games on it and half or more installed currently use it..never found it an issue.
  20. OK but if it was made would you buy it? Personally I have god knows hour many hours of unplayed scenarios and unfinished campaigns to get through aswell as a wealth of units and weapons which is the reason why I'd be happy for a cosmetic only expansion be made...
  21. Two chances to win Civ VI. Click link to A Wargamers Needful Things then follow instructions! CLICK TO COMP
  22. I'd pay decent money for an Inf animation upgrade pack. All animations improved esp "hunt". Close Combat animations etc pretty much what ever isn't animated at the moment plus some more varied soldier movements while not moving, maybe things like if they haven't moved for awhile some start to sit down if no immediate threat present etc etc, fixing uniform, checking weapon, tie boot laces, brush themselves down maybe summer has it's own animations for instance swatting a fly or mosquito. Just to make the more real looking really.. Imagine every time you gave a unit a different type of movement order then the Squad leader would actually do the hand signals specific for each type of order!
  23. A Wargamers Needful Things reviews Huberts latest offering... LINK
  24. I do have the upgrade but haven't really had time to play it. I was wondering if this is done in an abstract way or do we visually see a soldier leaning out to peak around a corner and fire if need around it (I know extremely unlikely)? Or is it done visually in a more abstract way...and if so how is it visually shown on screen? Edit: I'd actually pay for an animation expansion pack which redoes current animations aswell as add loads more..like leaning around corners. I'd pay a decent price aswell..more than a £10 anyway. Thanks
