GhostRider3/3 reacted to GhostRider3/3 in Cant Delete saved games.
Hello I have version 1.32 if Shock Force with all the additional modules.
I recently loaded it up and was playing and wanted to delete some of my saved games. I could not find any saved games in the Shock force saved game file folder.. and then proceeded to look everywhere for them on my system. Cant find them. So how can I delete them?
The games are there when I load CMSF, but there are no saved games at all in any folder on my computer or drive.... Twilight zone scenario.
thanks for any info and advice if anyone ran into a similar issue.

GhostRider3/3 reacted to Juju in [RELEASED] Juju's dropzone mod
A flavor mod, requested and brilliantly thought up by Kohlenklau. It's specifically intended for scenario designers who wish to simulate parachute drop zones on their maps. Comes in two flavors: early war white and late war olive drab.
This mod is tagged and as is it's only usable for the Market garden module. It can basically be used in any CMx2 game by fiddling with the tag system, though.
Available at GaJ's right now, and shortly at the repository.
NOTE: This is not a mod in the traditional sense. It is specifically intended for scenario designers who wish to simulate drop zones on their maps. They will release it themselves as a custom companion mod along with their scenario.
There is no point in downloading and installing this mod if you are not a scenario designer.

Hi Guys I love this game and I make my own scenarios with buildings ive made.

GhostRider3/3 reacted to Warts 'n' all in CM:BN Screenshot Thread #2
NPye This place really looks like it is lived in, rather than existing just in a game. The love the rose window in one of the churches. Also, that fact that some of the windows in the houses are open whilst others are shuttered. I also think that having a street sign fixed to the wall of a building is a very realistic touch. A great piece of work.

Playing unmodded at camera level 3 and above doesn't show the game off in all its potential glory. I wonder how many players do that and miss out on all the immersive good looking stuff?

GhostRider3/3 got a reaction from agusto in The future of user made scenarios – and the lack of community feedback
Well I understand what Umlaut was saying. and like many others stated of usually designing things for yourself. I created "Clash of Titans Redux2" because I wanted to pit the Tiger II, vs the JSII. The map got out of hand and just got bigger... details got bigger.. and when I got done and now correctly tested, thought others may want to see many tanks explode... in a challenging way. "Brandenburger Surprise" was my next Scenario, after marathoning the Dirty Dozen, Kelly's Hero's and Force 10 from Navarone... I thought about a couple previous books I had read about the German Special Forces... Brandenburger's. Also in reading the forums I saw many wanting small unit actions.
I really do enjoy making Scenarios, even though for the most part they are Hypothetical.. still very fun and will continue to do them. I have two in the works as of now.. one is being play tested for Head to Head only,
Feedback is important for me only on how I can do a scenario better, or if it was challenging and fun for the player or players. If I get feed back that's great, if not, oh well, I will still make them because I like doing it.

GhostRider3/3 got a reaction from Fizou in Clash of Titans Scenario
Hello everyone, I have finally downloaded one of my scenarios I have been working on for some time.
Clash of Titans is a hypothetical scenario where you play as the Germans vs AI, or Head to Head. The Scenario is located here
http://cmmods.greenasjade.net/mods?game_type=7&show_all=true at GreenAsJade's site.
As this is my first upload I would appreciate your feedback. Its not the first scenario I have created but I want to get as much feedback as possible.
The Battle is Huge so I have included in the description my computer specs, it ran fine but sometimes got a little slow, but did not make anything unbearable. Note also that it does take, at least my computer 6 minutes to load.. patience is a virtue for some.
Again its a hypothetical scenario that depicts elements of the 24th Panzer Division along with elements of the 505th sPz.Abt. with their newly acquired Tiger II tanks. I liked the fact that both depict Cavalry, and the map you will find is suitable for combat ranges of up to and over 2000m Russian AI has 2-3 plans each and should be decent for replay ability. Soviet forces include JS-2 tanks and other forces.
Head to Head their are some notes, but it really depends on the skill of players, obviously the Soviet forces will have quantity of men and material, but I left some Designer notes that may be helpful.
I have pretty much every mod, but if you have not uploaded any you may want to include:
http://cmmods.greenasjade.net/mods/5170/details King Tiger Henschel, by umlaut
http://cmmods.greenasjade.net/mods/5297/details Kieme's HD Modular Buildings Version 2.
http://cmmods.greenasjade.net/mods/5268/details Kieme's wooden Bunker
http://cmmods.greenasjade.net/mods/5258/details Veins special effects
http://cmmods.greenasjade.net/mods/5185/details Juju's sandbags and such.
Veins tracer mods
Aris vehicle mods
Oddball's sound mods.
And all the other goodies out there for immersion.
Have fun,
Semper Fi.

I'm having fun playing with the big boys in this one. The counter attack is costly if you don't do it right. good scenario.

GhostRider3/3 got a reaction from Vergeltungswaffe in Clash of Titans Scenario
Ok so I revamped the Scenario Clash of Titans. It now works 100% and has about 3 different AI plans for the Russian Attack. I appreciate everyones patience with the Single player aspect, it was my first large scale massive AI work. Anyways practice makes perfect. Thanks to my friend Jeff, for additional play testing, everything now functions as expected. Its wonderful knowing how far you can stretch the AI.
Anyways you can find the revamped version here http://cmmods.greenasjade.net/mods
I hope you enjoy the final version, I think it compliments both JS-2 and King Tiger in their long range lethality capabilites.

GhostRider3/3 reacted to JonS in Schürzen does it work in game?
Thanks guys.
From the link:
Actually, eyewitness accounts are invariably terrible in terms of technical accuracy.
On the otherhand:
Yep, and the reference to HE as well as ATR is interesting and makes the effort seem a lot more sensible.
and
Aye, so their effect against hollow charge probably wasn't purely serendipitous.
That I can believe. Own-side claims are terribly unreliable, which is why - for example - those wartime 'know your enemy' handbooks are interesting curios, but not particularly useful. other than for getting an idea of what the Americans thought the Germans were up to.
and this
is exactly the kind of thing that makes me a bit dubious about the skirts being purely a response to ATRs.

GhostRider3/3 reacted to General Jack Ripper in Schürzen does it work in game?
The results are in, Schürzen does work.
The hit decal circled in red shows a complete penetration. The decal circled in green shows no penetration. The hit text records the fact the armor skirt took the impact. The shot was from a Bazooka at 80 meters. Schürzen is designed to protect against HEAT rounds, and it works as advertised.

GhostRider3/3 reacted to panzersaurkrautwerfer in T-34/85 article from Russia which is quite good, except where it isn't
I'm thinking it's pretty rubbish. The Korean part is a whole mess of wrong, the highest leading cause of T-34/85 losses was US Armor, with Shermans making the slim majority of kills (I'd have to look up the specs, but it's something like 55% knocked out by Shermans, 45% M-26/M-46 kills). The T-34/85 was about on par with the late model Shermans (worse surviability, marginally better firepower, etc), but it was handily outclassed by the Pershing and Patton. I am fairly certain the author also could not tell a Chaffee from a tractor too. Also Task Force Smith didn't have armor, their only AT was the smaller early model bazookas, and 105 MM howitzers.
Let's see....uh the only armor at the Bay of Pigs was Cuban government, none was landed by the Americans, let alone the 30+ AFVs described, the Arab-Israeli stuff is only right if you accept fictional "we totally didn't lose this one guys!" Syrian numbers.....and actually yeah pretty much the whole thing is crap. Sorry man.

I'm pretty sure it works, I'll set up a test scenario.

GhostRider3/3 reacted to A Canadian Cat in Flamethrowers & Russian antitank grenades
Yes, the Russian soldiers have them and they use them. The RPG43 (I think that is what it is called) is not explicitly shown in the equipment list but when your Russian soldiers get close to an an enemy tank have a close look at the grenades they throw you will find some of them are big cylinders and pack a bit of an extra punch.
Those are demo charges and they are pretty heavy so you would not be throwing them long distances but they will use them to destroy a tank at slightly longer than 8m. This is an abstraction of close assaulting tanks. Infantry with demo charges do better than those without them but if they have grenades they will close assault a tank. It will not be easy and some men will die, you have to decide if it is a sacrifice you are willing to make

GhostRider3/3 reacted to Glubokii Boy in Flamethrowers & Russian antitank grenades
Fire is a work in progress with CM3 (the new game engine)...We just recently got flamethrower-units but... spreading fire... is not implemented yet.
I'm sure that BFC are working on it and hopefully we will get it soon...
As for russian hand held AT-weapons...Yes, the russians are very ill equiped when it comes to this but i do belive that BFC have done enough research about this to make sure its historicly correct...

GhostRider3/3 got a reaction from Vergeltungswaffe in Brandenburger Suprise at GreenAsJade's
Hello everyone,
I have just uploaded a small unit action you may be interested in. Take command of a reinforced Brandenburger Company on a rescue and assault mission.
you can find it here http://cmmods.greenasjade.net/mods/user_index?author_id=542
The scenario is designed for infantry combat and objectives include:
Rescue POW's
Ambush a Vehicle convoy
Destroy a Signals building
Destroy Warehouses, and a NKVD HQ. (touch objectives)
German vs AI only.
I hope you enjoy. I know people had been asking for more small unit battles, and devised this for a little infiltration fun. Should give the player some experience in conducting assaults, ambush, and conducting good overwatch. Practice makes perfect right.
Let me know if you like it, and I can make some more hypothetical scenarios.

GhostRider3/3 got a reaction from Fizou in More Bulge Info! (and a few screenshots...)
Battle of the Bulge has so many interesting what if's as well. But even with the what if's in mind, the historical battles alone are epic.
I cant wait for a FOY scenario taking straight out of "Band of Brothers" where is Capt' Spears!
Price.... I hate talking about price... If you have to ask how much, then you cant afford it. I love playing Battlefront not only because the games are very well done, but the forums and the entire battlefront family if you will have always been helpful, informative and well, pretty damn cool.

I dont think BF will disapoint and I think its sad when people jump to that conclusion given BF track record.
