  1. Totally agree Erwin. It really comes down to what you enjoy the most I guess and like I have mentioned WEGO is it for me.
  2. Love my big ass battles... keep em coming community. ;P
  3. Yeah I remember Close Combat. I liked Steel Panthers WaW with the campaign layers (Desert Fox 41, The Lost Battles) included and then Combat Mission CMBB /CMAK a lot more. After reading your post I have assumed you have not tried CMBB or CMAK (CMx1). I am thinking they would be what you are looking for, for now. Hundreds of scenario's and campaign's are available at the Scenario Depot II. Also CMAK can be modded to CMETO for Western Theater battles if you like that theater. There are still online opponents available at sites like WeBob and such. As well RobO created a excel spreadsheet campaign layer for both CMBB and CMAK, which is excellent. I remember feeling the same way as you did with Close Combat when I played my first Combat Mission scenario with CMBB back in 2002. It was about Wittmann and his Stug (Wittmann in the East or Wittmann's Iron Cross), the fog (when using WinXP), the rain, the Eastern Front.... I was hooked big time and I am still spinning those titles when I have the Ost Front or NA itch. Now back to the present. This community will eventually have lots of scenario's and campaigns made for CMx2 engine, CMBN already has quite a collection. CMFI will eventually as well and so on...
  4. I would like to know why so late 1944? Missing most of what I enjoy about the Eastern Front 1941 - 43. Oh well.
  5. If true... that blows. I would assume this at least, anything less would be a disappointment.
  6. Agree and I like your idea in your previous post about tweaking the random generated map in the editor after the "randomness."

  8. Denglish, if you sign up at this link http://games.groups.yahoo.com/group/wargamersdigest/ you will have access to lots of pdf's to download for the Battle Stations scenario's. Once you sign up the "File" link will be usable to access them, from what I remember.
  9. Thanks John, I will give it a look. It does sound familiar though.
  10. Very nice. Thank you modders you guys all rock.
  11. Thanks for this I will have to check it out. I always appreciate docs or books from the German perspective.
  12. Delete the pref file in the CMAK main directory and try again. I think it is a .pref file, I can't remember and I am at work.
  13. In regards to your answer to my question in another thread about German AI for this scenario... DAMN. I only use German units so... On another note, I wish that RoboQ campaign generator worked for CMx2. That is one of my reasons for still spinning CMx1. Not meaning to hijack the thread.
  14. Looking forward to this. Will it have AI for the Allied side? I am also looking forward to other parts of North Africa. That thread about a El Alamein mod sounds interesting, hopefully that takes off at some point.
  15. I was looking forward to that day when Emrys, with one response, would of had a whole page in a thread all to himself. Sigh...
  16. Well then, the Allied (player) should then be subject to having less experience and such to even out the wargame no? With these games already being staged late war, the German's are already at a disadvantage material wise so... Just my two bits.
  17. You are correct. I was just going to mention this, glad I saw your post.
  18. OT: noob, what ever happened to your PC integration as a campaign layer idea? Still working on the project? Feel free to bump a thread that has the topic in it for the answer if you like. I am not meaning to highjack this thread.
  19. Not sure if it was ever released. Maybe not complete as of yet. I posted for a response in that thread.
  20. Has the Villers Bocage scenario / map ever been released?
