  1. Interesting video, thanks for sharing. What is odd about the jackal is the low protection level of the personnel in the front seats. I mean, they don't even have a windshield against flies or mosquitos!
  2. Hot news on the Brit module! take a look
  3. downloaded and installed your mod AKD. Very good job! Radio chatter gives an enhanced atmosphere to the battlefield! Also introduction music is better! Thanks
  4. I would be happy if CM:N could provide: a good representation and variety of typical norman buildings, more mixing of uniforms (especially on the german side) than CMSF, a wider amount of postures for soldiers (I really don't like those "stuffed" tank crews!! ) hit holes on vehicles. This last is a very nice feature in TOW. Actually, the whole environment in TOW is really well done and I would like if CM could somehow resemble that style. It would add to immersion, IMHO.
  5. from the date of publication of the first Marines beta screenshots and the release of the module, four and a half months have passed. Shall we expect the same time span for British module?
  6. Actually I have the same problem of the Battlefront toolbar causing Firefox 3 to crash (when I check the feeds), but only with MacOSX. In Win XP everything runs fine.
  7. I've seen the pics. Very nice indeed! Can't wait! Thanks BF.C
  8. Yes I know, my request was in fact directed to BF.C
  9. any chance that a few screenshots can be posted in the meantime? Maybe a mix of vehicles and soldiers in action...
  10. Really promising this British module! Can't wait! Are we going to see some preview of soldiers, too?
  11. Just downloaded the 1.11 Marines patch and started a scenario to try the good old Blue Bar. Wonderful! Now the game has come back to the levels of enjoyment of CMx1. Thank you BFC for this restoration! And merry Christmas!
  12. I second this. I consider the absence of realistic victory conditions (e.g. surrender) one of the flaws of Theatre of War that prevents me from fully enjoying this game.
  13. I agree completely. I think that adding the information about dead/incapacitated soldiers in the squad roster (with brown/red background color) would enhance greatly the knowledge about troop status.
  14. I also suspect small arms friendly fire is not modelled. In the scenario "Only about 10 minutes", playing with the US, I had one squad assault an enemy trench while other friendly squads were suppressing the defending troops (with grenades too). Well, as my assaulting squad got to the trench, friendly fire continued, but seemed to affect only the enemy.
  15. I would really love to see this! It would add a lot to immersion.
  16. Quite impressive! BTW, in screenshot #4, the soldiers near the AA german vehicle seem to wear italian uniforms. Am I dreaming or it is true?
  17. I am afraid there is not such a mod. Animations and 3d models are not moddable. Only skins are.
  18. Yes, I know that in Tunisia the Italians actually didn't fight, while on the other side, it was the first involvement of US in the mediterranean theatre. Calling the game "Tunisia 1943" the developers are authorised to count out the Italian Army in order to respect the historical accuracy. Nothing to say about it. But Theatre of War has a fairly good replayability thanks to the editor (map and battle) and it is there where the Italians will miss, together with several other units (e.g. some earlier british tanks), because who creates new battles will probably be interested in reproducing events also outside Tunisia. Lybia, Egypt.... So what I am complaining about TOW2 is its too much narrow scope. It is not even a module of TOW but a brand new game, so I would have expected something more.
  19. Maybe I'm wrong, but from the features page I can see no Italian army unit is present in TOW2. That's a real pity. In North Africa, WWII was fought mainly by Commonwealth, Italy and Germany. Counting out the Italians, IMHO, the potentiality of the game are drastically reduced.
  20. Very nice videos. Can't wait! I have noticed that in some cases vehicle crew seems to have a more natural posture when unbuttoned. No more stiff figures emerging from hatches. Is it one of the new features of the module? Will it affect all the crews?
  21. I was looking at the Generation Kill web site and I ran into the "gear up" page: here the Marines gear is explained. From what I can see the main weapon is the M4 and not the M16A2. Is this a mistake by the film production?
  22. It would be cool! And BTW, I really would like the real carries of weapons used for the different movement orders, i.e. the "alert carry" for the "hunt" movement. Or the "tactical carry" used for the "move" order. It would add much more immersion to the gameplay.
  23. Ok, thanks for the update Martin. We will wait patiently, or, at least, we will try...
