  1. in the second picture of page 2 of the Scenario tutorial, among the scenario Data, there is a "civilian density" variable. Will there be civilians represented in CM:SF? I thought the contrary was true.
  2. I think that the scenario design guide, being still work in progress, contains old info not yet updated.
  3. it seems to me the max dimensions were 4x4 km: from game features: Map sizes as tiny as 224 meters by 224 meters up to a massive 16 square kilometers
  4. Is BF.C going to release some more media (video, pics,...) before 27th of July, just to whet our appetite?
  5. thank you for the reply Sergei. I will probably upgrade the video card and the ram, also to satisfy the needs for my job
  6. A question for the developers: in which amount the following components of the PC influence game performance: processor, graphic card and RAM? I mean, I have a Pentium 4 3.00 Ghz with 1 Gb RAM and a Geforce 5200: if I don't want to change the whole PC, I can only upgrade the graphic card to a GF6800 or better (I have to check the compatibility of newer AGPs with my motherboard) and the RAM to 2 Gb. Will then the game play smoother even if the processor is still 3.00 Ghz? Thanks
  7. I was thinking of a wego-RT thread too. I will probably play mainly in wego. Of course I plan also to try RT since with ToW I'm getting accustomed to this way of playing. RT (at least in ToW) has the big disadvantage that you cannot watch past actions, so you usually lose several interesting events occurring on the battlefield. I like Wego, instead, because I can see what's happening from the perspective of each unit.
  8. I agree, too. Let's play ToW for what it is and not for what it cannot be.
  9. I am currently playing the first scenario of the German campaign: The assault of the polish trenches. I played other single player battles before getting accustomed to the commands and interface, and I often noticed this weird thing happening: officers tend to run way ahead of their squad. Sometimes I find those men all alone and double clicking on them I can see that the rest of the squad is several meters behind, even if they have been given a formation order. Is this a bug? Or maybe it depends on the fact that officers have less gear and then they can run faster ?? Shouldn't they keep the formation? By the way, after some difficulties, I start enjoying the game. There are several things that can be adjusted, but I consider the overall result more than satisfactory. ...of course, as a old CM aficionado, I am particularly looking forward to seeing CMSF...
  10. thanks Iplaygames2! I managed to solve the problem

  12. That's really odd! I installed the demo on my notebook (P4 3,2 ghz, 1 Gb RAM, ATI Radeon 9700) and when I launch the game, the screen is turned upside down! I tried with several resolution and level of detail choices, but it is always the same. Is anybody experiencing this problem?

  15. oops, sorry Andrew, I didn't read carefully your post.
  16. From Wikipedia: "The Wedgie is a joke maneuver or prank performed to humiliate someone. It is inflicted when an individual, or group of individuals, grab the underwear of the victim from behind and pull up, causing the underwear to wedge between the buttocks."
  17. 38 (in the average) - Love all that concerns wargaming, but with a special feeling towards tactical wargaming. So I hope TOW will meet my expectations in terms of realism and immersion. I also hope that it will start a series covering other theatres (North Africa, Italy, Pacific...)
  18. Thanks for the nice videos! You are doing a very good job! As Rollstoy noticed, the way the Abrams climbs slopes seems weird also to me. Does the hull remains horizontal in the real tank?
