Good to see the new years post and of course the ever important bone-tossing! Good times ahead!

Hey thanks man, glad you liked it! Yep that’s the basic premise of the battle, blowing sh*t up! I like oddball fictional type scenarios. Yeah I’m not sure what bomb that is, forget, have to take a peek in the editor.

CM Shock Force2 v2.03 patch has been released.
MeatEtr replied to BFCElvis's topic in Combat Mission Shock Force 2
Definitely dont need to install to your users/docs folder, that just holds your saves/settings and not the actual game. Default location on Windows is usually C:\Program Filesx86\Battlefront\CMSF2... Since you've tried installing to multiple locations, double check your shortcut to make sure its sending you to the right/new CMSF2.exe. But I think your best option is to do a total reinstall. -
Exciting news about Battlefront and Slitherine
MeatEtr replied to BFCElvis's topic in Combat Mission - General Discussion
Great to hear and will make for much bigger exposure, especially on Steam. Most of the Slitherine fans already know about CM/BF. -

Guys double check the version at bottom right to ensure the patch installed correctly! Should say 2.03 (BFC) If not then follow c3k's instructions. -

Ministry of Defense video

Super kool seeing our beloved CM being used by the actual military! -
It's simple really... I lose a battle and the game is broken beyond repair! I win a battle and the game is perfect!

Rome to Victory Pre-orders are now open
MeatEtr replied to BFCElvis's topic in Combat Mission Fortress Italy
I have a similar setup. SSD for my OS, few other SSDs for gaming, and a high capacity for deep storage. My guess is that you were manually adding those user folders to your D drive. I've never seen any of the installers put everything into you chosen drive at install. Only exception to this is CMBN. Long story short, after CMBN shipped windows changed something that forces some things into your users folder. If you werent manually adding the user folder to your D drive then my only guess is that the drive was once a boot drive with the windows install still sitting there. To sorta trick the installer into thinking its the OS. But Im guessing here... Im no installer pro. -
Id say your overreacting a bit much! Interesting how you quoted the post complaining about the delay while ignoring @BFCElvis post about getting more scenarios because of the delay. Just saying, good things have come from this belated release!

CMRT Unit Names Remain Stubbornly Hosed!!!
MeatEtr replied to Barrold's topic in CM2 General Tech Support
If you have to do this with other modules/games then I'm guessing its a setting in your file manager software. I use 7-zip on Windows 7 with no problems, what are you using? Seems they are being auto-renamed. -
Thanks for the heads up about this cam, gonna give it a whirl!

October 2019 has always been the original release date right?

DRUMS OF WAR TOURNAMENT *MID JAN LAUNCH*
MeatEtr replied to Bootie's topic in Combat Mission Battle for Normandy
Hope I'm not getting ahead of myself, but I went ahead and picked out my award. I'm going with a Porsche 911 Carrera GTS in flashy red. It's only about $120k, surely Steve at @Battlefront.com can afford to give this as a tourney award right? P.S. I am serious... and don't call me Surely! -
DRUMS OF WAR TOURNAMENT *MID JAN LAUNCH*
MeatEtr replied to Bootie's topic in Combat Mission Battle for Normandy
Raising this thread from the grave! So wasn't battlefront suppose to give some kind of an award to the victor of this tourney? I ask because @Bootie from FGM hooked me up with a kool swag plaque! -
Oleksandr's Modding Space for CMSF2
MeatEtr replied to Oleksandr's topic in CM Shock Force 2 Maps and Mods
Great job on your CMBS mods, I got em all! As for modding CMSF2, it should be no different than what you've done with CMBS. As a fan I look forward to your work! -
Oleksandr's Modding Space for CMSF2
MeatEtr replied to Oleksandr's topic in CM Shock Force 2 Maps and Mods
@Oleksandr -
Yep CMSF really turned into a great war game in its own right, especially with all the modules. It taught or reminded many that a good war game is a good war game period, regardless of the theater/time frame it takes place in. Guess I was part of the group who bought it primarily for a taste of the new engine and as the appetizer for the inevitable return to WWII. But I ended up loving it and played the hell out of it! Now replaying/revisiting it with the 4 upgrades is quite a treat. Good times ahead!

Oh but it will be.... sooner than you think!

Naughty or nice... here's some bones!

Ho ho ho... Santa Steve has arrived... CMSF2 looking good! -
FYI, I noticed this same AA HT in CMRT as well. So if and when it ever gets modded, it could double duty in both games.
-
Thanks for trying mjkerner on whipping up a mod for this AA HT. Yeah maybe the master Aris can give it some of his mod love. Known on these forums as @Fuser

I believe this oddball AA HT came in the vehicle pack, so it may have been overlooked.
