Brendan McBreen, a retired USMC Lieutenant Colonel, ran 300 squad assaults in CMSF and drew insights from them. McBreen, who has 25 years of service as an infantry officer, found that the service's manuals and training materials give only vague and inadequate guidance about how to conduct a squad assault. He used CMSF to run a series of tests, matching a rifle squad against different defenders, and tallied up the results. 
Then he wrote up his findings. The whole series of seven articles appears over on the Tactical Notebook, a Substack run by Bruce Ivar Gudmundsson, a historian in Quantico.

Short update:
There are two news - one bad and one good 😉
The bad one: due to an unexpected vacation, I had to stop my work since last week...
The good one: When I´m back home on 13th September, I will continue with work powerfully 👍
 
As I told before, it is a huge amount of things to do AND I want to have a product with quality - so, I have to 
adjust the release date for a (hopefully) last time:
With the experience of the last months, I am almost sure, that the BattlePack will be released as a Christmas gift 😎

Damn is this thread still going strong?  A real tactics and warfare thread?  The anti-Peng?  Well done guys.

The scenario wasn't made by me, i did the Terrain so people could put their Mission ideas on it, instead of complaining you could put some of your time into making cool content for it.

I put 3 pair of Pz IVs 1250m across from 3 isolated IS-2s, let one of each pair of Pz IVs (call them Group 1) fire for two turns (9 shots each) to ensure every subsequent shot was a hit, then let the other Pz IVs (Group 2) start shooting. The number of shots taken by Group 2 tanks to achieve the first hit was 2,4 and 3 respectively.

My snowy allied armor for FI completed (if you notice a missing armor don't hesitate to tell me) posted on CMMOD IV, now German armor: The Pz3 M - N and the Wespe seem to have no snow textures in FI, RT and FB. Here in 2 versions (snowy or white) for FI and probably compatible with FB and RT

Today in a few hours I go to say probably my last goodbye to a dear friend. His wife said the cancer has spread all over and he is in pain even with the fentanyl patch at 100. Del is age 90 and served during the Korean War. He never made it over to Korea but spent a couple years blowing up trees to turn Camp Stewart, Georgia into a tank training center. As a corporal, he ran the armory for his Engineering Company. A great story of his, and he has a ton, is when a young officer, butter bar O-1, was turning in a .45 and it went off INSIDE the armory. The bullet passed down through Del's pants leg. Cloth only. No blood spilled. The company commander chewed the officer out AFTER Del had his chance.
