  1. They haven't actually started on the game yet. They are going to pull an all-nighter the day before it's due.
  2. Most of us are adults and understand that your projections are only that. I always add six months to your estimates to be safe, so that I am usually not disappointed. You don't look silly.
  3. Have you not noticed the brown bases for dead soldiers? Wounded piss their pants - yellow bases Seriously wounded bleed a lot - red bases Dead crap their pants - brown bases
  4. So I wasn't having fun all this time?
  5. Official release date of CM: Normandy is now January 2, 2010! Unofficially
  6. It's like when all you have is a platoon of LAVs with TOWs and you have to stop an infantry assault.
  7. I demand all vehicle crews be armed with M2s!
  8. Start a Quick Battle that has crew served weapons - MGs, ATGMs, etc. Make sure the unit is on the ground and not in a vehicle. While in the setup phase, toggle the deploy button on and off and you will see how the men deploy and undeploy the weapon. In the setup phase there is almost no delay.
  9. I used a mod for everything under the sun in CMx1, but I don't use a single mod in CMSF. I think it looks great just the way it is.
  10. Will the cows of Normandy have various accents?
  11. The only screen shot we have is of a Tiger, so I expect it to be included.
  12. I don't think BFC really has a release schedule like that. As we all know, they release it when it was done. I'd bet the planned release date on BFCs white board was a long time ago. CMSF took longer than expected, and developing the modules took longer than expected. Now that most of the kinks have been worked out new releases will come along at a quicker pace. Now that the CMx2 engine is functional, most of the work for Normandy is adding new features, such as the revamped QB system, and things like water, bridges, AT guns and mortars. I believe they've already started coding the last two. The QB system will probably take the most amount of work. I think Steve also said they don't worry about sales of one game/module affecting the sales of others. People who like modern will buy that and people who like WWII will buy that, and those who like both will eventually buy everything they want. One thing I was thinking about the other day is how casualties are shown in open top vehicles. Until the Brits, I don't think we had any open top vehicles in CMSF. It's kind of weird to see soldiers just instantly disappear when they are hit. There are going to be a lot of open top vehicles in WWII and it would be nice to be able to see the casualties and have an opportunity to give them buddy aid.
  13. I kept all of the trucks back in the corner near where they started. I advanced the Warriors and tin cans near the bend of the road and let them engage the enemy from a distance. With about 10 minutes left I sent a Warrior down into the ravine on the left and mopped up the stragglers in that area. I got a tactical victory.
  14. That's not really the point. It would be nice to be able to choose your forces at all. Would you really choose to assault the enemy with nothing but TOW missiles?
  15. Modules are $25 for download only, and I believe Steve said they are working on a new QB system for CM:N that will be a lot more like the QB system from CM:BO. There is no chance they are going to redo the QB system for CM:SF.
  16. It happens the other way too. I had a Challenger on Viagra yesterday.
  17. I don't think these vehicles are expected to survive long enough to fire 200 rounds.
  18. Playing US vs. Brits is great! Although I do notice that the Brits tend to get a smaller force when on an equal footing such as a meeting engagement.
  19. Or, we could all wait until the stand alone patch is ready. I'm happy to be playing with the Brits now.
