  1. These are superb but I have a problem here. I'm playing Breaking the Panzers and am playing ze Germans. I am 9th SS Reg but the stock portraits appear. I can't get round this for some reason. I have installed German Heer, Stug and SS portraits at different times to see why, and for some reason only the scout unit portraits appear. The other SS units are stock. So I'm back to German Portraits Big Symbol and SS Luft Big Symbol. I presume I can run both of these together?

  4. How do you tell the crew to take a weapon? Acquire or something else?
  5. I seem to have missed this. Was there any debate regards what we could expect to see? I'm really enjoying it I have to say, but there are features rather than fixes that I would love to see included. I know of a few little niggles but nothing major that I can find maybe apart from the LOS trench/foxhole problem in certain weather/time of day.
  6. Option 3 for me too, but only if it doesn't create you further hassles. The problem I have with no bases inside buildings is the confusion it may cause. It might be somewhat more of a problem trying to get groups of men to line up and face windows etc, if you can't see the floor. It's just a perception thing, but I'm sure we would get used to it. How does this effect taller buildings?
  7. Okay that's interesting. I have yet to see that myself. I guess I was just jarred. Losing the main gun on a Tiger before you can even do anything with it is very frustrating
  8. I've had teams use PIATS against targets within buildings but it was an Ai controlled thing. I didn't target basically.
  9. I would say, yes please! I only use your vehicle mods now Fuser. I don't need to use anything else.
  10. I think the point I'm trying to make - more than any other tank I've used in the game the Tiger seems to be plagued by the 'gun mantlet' hit followed by the loss of the main gun. I have never lost a main gun on a Panther for example. Is this accurate do we expect? Was the main gun so vulnerable?
  11. I've played 5 missions now with the Tiger (me as the Germans). Has anyone noticed how easy it is to lose the 88m gun? The last mission I played I had 3 Tigers. All three lost their main gun within 2 WEGO turns. 76mm Firefly rounds bounced off my tanks but all guns were disabled. The enemy tanks were over 1000 yards away. The mission before I had a single Tiger lose its main gun to a 75mm Sherman III round at distance. 1 shot one bounce, 'gun mantlet hit' but the main gun was effectively disabled within one turn. Bottom line I've had nothing but what I can only call bad luck with the big cat.
  12. I was quite surprised to see my lowly green PIAT team knock out a veteran SS Panther at what appeared to be a reasonable distance. When I've been firing away all my 75mm AP at the same tank to no avail. I realise that any sort of charge can disable or destroy armour if you get close enough but this was pretty distant. It got me thinking, are there any accounts of PIATs destroying armour (Panther's in particular) in the open?

  14. I know Tanks is working on some splendid looking Normandy buildings but we haven't heard from him in a while - buildings are looking somewhat out of place compared to the beautiful terrain and vehicle mods we are using now..

  16. Hi mate, to answer your questions: No flamethrower units YET, although fire/flame units will have to make an appearance sooner or later. No damaged/overturned vehicles, although you can place upright 'knocked out' vehicles and vehicles that are on fire. As long as they are not considered to be 'inside' a complete building then they can fire. PIAT can already fire from within confines of a building. I'm not sure about the turret question but I'd guess that is a no at the moment. I have heard BFC say they do eventually want to implement some sort of visible damage/decal structure on vehicles. There are plenty of things to come for WWII fans - next module for this current game will be Market Garden I believe. Then there will be a final 'funnies' module. After that there will be a new Bulge base game with modules. Finally there will be a brand new Eastern Front game with modules.
  17. What about Scipio's? I have been using his flame mod and that looks great too.
  18. They are fabulous mate thanks very much. They appear smaller on screen, although that might just be because the colours are more subdued; but they certainly fit in more with the ambience of the game. I'm currently using the CW icons with the German SS spotted icon.
  19. I'm not sure if this is always the case but so far since installing the CW module I have seen much larger holes created as a result of a single charge. Large enough for a tank to breech without need for another blast.
