  1. Hi, I just played a scen with a few Marder units and discovered the crews standing upright with arms outstretched. I have looked in my Z folder thinking it may be a mod I installed earlier but there is no Marder mod in the folder....Anybody know what could be causing this? Thanks.

  3. I found the same deployment glitch setting up my 6pdr guns, kept re-running the scenario & found that 50% of the time it had the crews crawling away from the guns rendering them useless. v2.0

Hi all, I was struggling to get some of the larger scenarios to run smoothly with the meager spec i have which is:- win7 64, 3gig ram, dual core 2.5 celeron, 1 gig nvidia graphics card. after tweaking a little with the graphics card settings & game menu settings set to fastest rather than quality i found i could still only scrape through the bigger battles with 'trees off' and anything else which made it easier on the system. Then i found this little program down at cnet.com http://download.cnet.com/RAMBooster/3000-2086_4-10028673.html Its free and there is a little tutorial on youtube to follow which i found useful, after installing and trying it out i found it greatly improved the game performance, especially on larger scenarios. If anyone else is suffering from sluggish gameplay on larger battles give it a try and see if it helps. cheers
  7. "But when you do that do you end up with helmets sticking out of the Brit para's chins?" Yep sure did, thought they were some sort of secret weapon hitherto unseen, until they started running into trees/buildings etc, then i realized they had GI helmets sticking out of their faces!

Yes am afraid its a very frustrating 'glitch' i have also encountered, tanks in clear view with a clear shot & the whole of Normandy can see them except for the shrek team you placed 20 meters away to take out the tank and save that flank from collapsing! Am at a loss with the LOS issue. On a sunnier note however i did witness a sherman fire at my panther, hit, rico'd * and the spent shot hit the building next to the panther causing it to collapse and kill half the squad inside. Ce'st la guerre i think.

Thanks for the replies, I suppose it would be a nice wish list to include more realistic damaged units, burning terrain & i certainly don't know how difficult it would be to implement but another whim of mine would be to include AA units in the game and, perhaps, the odd aircraft swooping low after a straffing run. That said, it is a fantastic game & the money is the bank waiting for the next module! thanks
  11. Is there a reason no flamethrower weapons or the ability to set on fire buildings terrain are not modelled in the game? When designing scenarios is it possible to place damaged vehicles as overturned/flipped on side/smoke damaged/missing turrets? Can Bazooka's/shreks etc be fired from partially collapsed buildings? Can turrets on destroyed vehicles be 'adjusted' when designing a scen so they do not all appear uniform? will there be future modules released & if so would any of the above be taken into consideration? thanks

Cool thanks for the reply the first scenario i describe the panther was definately inside the arc as i had drawn it out to encompass the reverse slope (the part of the road the ATG could not see) and the range was very short less than 100m i would say. The ATG had not previously fired and was hidden behind a hedge which i appreciate is not the best cover also i had drawn a LOS line prior to setup just to be sure the gun could see the point at which i wished the ambush to take place. I cannot say for sure what the exp levels were on either side but i would have thought at that range with the ATG set to ambush it wouldn't have made much of a difference but that could be a factor. If the gun had at least fired once, missed/rico'd then i would have been happy with the result but it's just that it never fired at all with a clear view of the target & the approaching panther did not fire immediately either as it was buttoned therefor giving the ATG more time to fire first. I just hope i can get my life back together after this! Btw thanks for directing me to the ATG thread.

I myself found it strange when i had some 17pdr AT guns hidden in a hedge covering a road coming over the crest of a hill with cover arc on, the theory being the oncoming panther (buttoned) would get blasted as it came over the crest. Infact the AT gun never fired a shot and the panther after a few secs spotted it & no more AT gun. Also a similar situation, AT hidden in low hedge had not fired and i kept the cover arc deliberately short so as to ensure the enemy tanks got close enough to ensure their destruction. The gun was spotted from about 300m away and the tanks opened up but did not hit/pin the gun, i deleted the arc and set the gun to engage the lead tank but it would not open fire for whatever reason, the gun got toasted along with a good section of that flank unable to defend itself without AT capabilities. any ideas?

Thanks for the replies to my thread, i am a newb around these parts and firstly i have to say that the game itself is by far the best of its kind i have played, clearly the devs have put a lot of effort into this polished gem and i am having a great time getting pwned by the AI nevermind a human opponent. I suppose small glitches like this appear in most games and it certainly does not curtail the enjoyment of playing if anything its quite amusing to see such odd events occurring. thanks again.
