It seems like this is the date of release:
-
If you want to Cease Fire you will need to tell your opponent so they can also hit Cease Fire. Otherwise the game will continue. No message is generated by the game itself.

Fire & Rubble Release Date Pool
Commanderski replied to Probus's topic in Combat Mission Red Thunder
March 1...I'm being very optimistic... -
I don't think you have to worry too much about modders and scenario designers leaving en masse once Cold war comes out. I believe some of the modders worked on Fire & Rubble so they may have a few mods ready plus I think there since there will be more historical units available you will see more scenarios pop up. I've been thinking about doing some but need F&R first to see the maps and what scenarios have already been done.

Idea for ALL Combat mission games:"
Commanderski replied to Soldat-Hans's topic in Combat Mission - General Discussion
I would also like to see where you can make Force Adjustments to the Defender. You can adjust the Attacker up to 150% but can't make any adjustments to the Defender. There's no way to make a really QB Huge battle if playing H2H. -
In the Soviets plan of 7 Days to the River Rhine they intended to use 96 nuclear missiles and 35 nuclear bombs but not on France or England as they also had nukes. the plan was developed in 1964 and was never updated or terminated so they could have used that plan at anytime.

Objectives in set up location
Commanderski replied to LiveNoMore's topic in Combat Mission - General Discussion
I think if you have the objective set up as an "occupy" objective then that is what you have to do. Otherwise it needs to be a "touch" objective. -
Tank crews and units that don't run a triathlon when they panic. I can see them maybe going 100 - 200 meters at most then hiding in the nearest available cover.

Aragorn2002 must be sleeping... Do they mean 20 scenarios or 20 campaigns? Would love 20 campaigns. Already ordered... -
Mega Millions is currently at 750 million and will go higher by Friday's drawing. We should be some lottery tickets and if any of us wins give Battlefront about 100 million so they can hire more programmers and really crank out some fantastic games...

You can playback as attacker or defender if you are playing against the AI. Just make sure your not in Realtime. You need to be in 1 Player - Turn Based and then you get the regular playback.

GOG Just Made Battlefront Some Cash
Commanderski replied to S.h.r.i.k.e's topic in Combat Mission - General Discussion
Welcome back! -
I'm 99% sure it had replay and yes it did have a free moving camera. It was so detailed that you could see the troops breathing heavy if they ran a bit and they would take over and use an abandoned ATG's. I still have the game on another hard drive, I might have to take a look at that again.

Theatre of War 2: Kursk 1943 had fantastic graphics and I wish CM would have went that way. Although I'm not sure how much computing power would be required to have those types of graphics and the same real world battlefield effects ( how CM takes into account the ballistics, environment...etc). Matrix Games had Panzer Command: Ostfront which really played well had everything you could want except the graphics were a step or two down from CM. It had an excellent campaign generator and you could fight the entire Eastern Front war from '41 - '45. You had to be careful with your tanks as they carried over from battle to battle and you would get upgrades as time went on.

CMBN - Les Charne Scenario - How Many Pz IVs Do You See
Commanderski replied to Bannon's topic in CM2 General Tech Support
Although I'm not with tech support you might want to post a screenshot so they can see what you are seeing or zip a file so you can send it to them. Also Tech Support doesn't do any troubleshooting from here. Go to the Main page, click on Support, then Help Desk and in the upper right hand side click on New Ticket and fill in the required information. That will create a ticket for them to work on and they will get back to you with that. By the way I see 5 PZ IV's. -
Currently the Soviet tank crews bail when the tank could still fight while immobilized. I've been reading in Stalin's Favorite and in Panzer Destroyer where the Soviet tankers are forbidden to abandon their tanks if they still have the ability to fight. I've read numerous occasions where when they get hit and their engine is on fire they put out the flames and keep fighting. Also if they are immobilized but can shoot they need to continue the fight. If they prematurely bail out and they survived the battle the tank crew was turned over to a Military Tribunal and the outcome usually wasn't in their favor. That was probably ordered sometime in '42 but is definitely in effect in the timeframe of RT and F&R. Is that something that can be modeled or too much of a programming issue?
