  1. An update on the progress of Engine 5 would be nice.
  2. Last years bones was posted on Jan 3. Hopefully they will continue to post what they plan to release this year and what's in development.
  3. He usually dos that within the first 3 days or so of the new year. Hopefully he will give us an update on Engine 5.
  4. I thought it was for Cold War too. To avoid future misunderstandings I think they should be labeled as CMBNCW.
  5. Glad you are apparently getting better. Otherwise we'd have to find a way to contact your next of kin to see if we can get the files you're working on per your previous post....
  6. Get well soon. Take it easy and get plenty of rest. No need to rush things.
  7. Looks great! Map making is a hobby unto itself.
  8. Could be you have snow mods in the same folder. like Stalingrad for instance. Had that happen to me before.
  9. Perfect! Since they still get bounce away when close together I put in the junk bricks in between and it looks pretty good. Tanks and vehicles still go across. Thank you!
  10. Just did a test with a Tiger and a Kubelwagon and both went over it with no problems and the logs stayed there from the scenario editor in Master Maps to the scenario file and didn't disappear or act weird wen the vehicles went over them.
  11. In testing it using just one seems to be Ok as far as opening and saving it then going back but using two touching each other one goes away. Using 2 with a space between them they seem to stay. Maybe making one with 12 logs would work. If I could figure out how to get a mdr file to Blender I might try it. I tried using Blender but I can't seem to find a path to open any of those files. There's plenty of information on how to use it but I can't even find a way to get the file there.
  12. I have a ways to go yet on the map but would appreciate it if you can find it. After a few attempts I was thinking the same thing.
  13. I'm trying to create a small corduroy road across a marsh and thought that the logs would be perfect. But for some reason they don't stay together after you X out to save it. I made a perfect corduroy road with about a dozen or so logs. But when I went back to view it only about a handful are left and not in any order. I tried several times but it seems that you just can't put that many close together. I used both # 1 and 2 separately and in various combinations with no difference. Is there any reason why they do that?
  14. Getting close to the end of the year. Any chance of a Christmas sneak peak of Engine 5?
  15. All games age over time and no game is perfect. Considering the size of the Battlefront team they are doing a great job in what they have done so far and I'm sure we will see improvements in the future. And after all this time yet here we all are with people still creating new scenarios, maps, campaigns and mods. So BF must still be doing something right and people are still enjoying the game.
  16. Yep! It's not that hard but a little time consuming but will go faster once I know what I'm really doing... I know what I wanted to do and looking through a bunch of the ready made maps and they just weren't what I wanted. Getting the right map for the overlay was the hardest part but made now I'm ready to start putting things on the map. Still have a lot to learn but found some really good tutorials on youtube and some great hints in this forum. Great Idea!
  17. I'm working on a scenario and when creating things like roads I don't want to make a footpath the width of a highway and vice versa. For example how many squares wide would a major road on the Eastern Front?
  18. Actually the biggest tank battle of the war. Around 3,000 Soviet tanks and 800 German tanks plus lot's of air attacks from both sides. Would love to see how or if you modeled any of the Soviet tanks involved like the KV 1 or 2, T-26 and the BT 7's. The only book I found on that battle is "Dubno 1941 by Aleksei Isaev": https://www.amazon.com/Dubno-1941-Greatest-Battle-Second/dp/1911628437/ref=tmm_pap_swatch_0?_encoding=UTF8&qid=1637933237&sr=1-1 Looking forward to see what can do with this...
  19. Awesome little scenario full of surprises. Just love the look of those tanks!
