  1. Fruit juice as in cordial, as in mixed with water, or "pure" Orange juice, as in comes ready to drink?
  2. I like you donnieitaly. You'll go far here. I was watching a program about accents a while back that said the Lancashire accent is what the majority of people sounded like during the middle ages. It's very nearly died out now. The scouse accent seems to be swimming against the tide (quelle surprise) in that while the rest of the country is getting more homogeneous ours is getting stronger. It's changed significantly since I was born and actually, to my ear, doesn't sound nearly as nice as it once did. It's less nasal and more glottal.
  3. You know, I don't think allowing either player to pause when they want is such a bad thing. If you don't think they're playing fair just tell them and/or don't play them again.
  4. I overwrote the atioglxx.dll in my system32 folder with the 9.3 one and it still wouldn't start. But I'm on a 4890.
  5. Steve, you sure you not got that backasswards? IIRC they were initially under TacAI control then were placed under human control - although possibly with a TacAI override. Am I wrong?
  6. Looks crap. Stylised space fairies vs Huey's with vectored fans? Give me a break.
  7. Another shout for OFF. Great game and a great community. I'd play it more but I get a terrible pain under my shoulder blade from using a joystick too long. They need to sort that out  (hate this icon - where's the old set).
  8. You do know that if you don't give a "face" command the unit won't use the balcony? More 1.2 goodness.
  9. I'm on 9.8 and still getting issues. ATI Radeon HD 4800. Bit buggered really.
  10. I worked on a tall ship once. It was infested with cockroaches that would swarm under the decks and lived mainly in the moist, welcoming darkness of the engine compartment. When they were becoming too uppity - taking toddlers, small dogs and such - we'd open up the hatches and blast them with nerve gas. Or at least, reading the warnings on the can that's what it seemed to be. Seriously. One night I was asleep in my bunk but woke up with what seemed a cold, hard button in my mouth... Yeah. Spat it out, vaporised it with a heel squish and scrubbed and scrubbed my teeth. I stopped myself when I actually had the can of nerve gas in my hand wondering if it would work as toothpaste. *shudders* I'm with ya SLIM.
  11. They are. Probe and Pound is Blue's SOP (mine to). You're best leaving the range as short as possible. 50m is you're in not in MOUT. Right outside/next door/same room if you are.
  12. I love it when yours come round George...makes cas easier to take
  13. There's a Liverpool Scottish regiment (with a member who won the VC TWICE), I always imagine it to be them. But that's just me.
  14. Yep. George MC did some - he's the shouty Scot, I did some - I'm the dashing, manly Scouse. Others can own up if they want - but there's no Yanks.
  15. Nope. No units across games, only across modules.
  16. Like c3k I loved the "shopping" element. I loved knowing who I was playing and judging what to buy based on that, the thrill of outguessing someone then realising you've been out-guessed in turn. Creating a balanced force and squeezing the last out of your points. Give up a 60mm mortar to get a 57 and another sniper? Oh, OK then. Loved it.
  17. This sounds ideal to me. Especially if the campaign designer can then influence the "rarity" of re-enforcements with the choices the player makes. Functionality to drop to a campaign map on scenario end and make choices around it, shape-able by the designer, which would influence this "rarity" would do a good job I think. IOW: "choice 1: arty rarity = 1.2, inf rarity = 0.8, armour rarity = 0.4" "choice 2: arty rarity = 1.0, inf rarity = 0.4, armour rarity = 0.8" etc. dependent on where on an image (a map) a the user clicked. With the map and clickable areas also linked to each scenario end. Something like: If (variable dependent on scenario exit) { map image2(co-ordinate set) { if(co-ordinate set[1]) { scenario = scenario x(arty rarity = 1.2, inf rarity = 0.8, armour rarity = 0.4) } else if(co-ordinate set[2]) { scenario = scenario x(arty rarity = 1.0, inf rarity = 0.4, armour rarity = 0.8) } else n... } else if (variable dependent on scenario exit) { map image3(co-ordinate set) { if(co-ordinate set[1]) { scenario = scenario x(arty rarity = 1.5, inf rarity = 0.7, armour rarity = 0.6) } else if(co-ordinate set[2]) { scenario = scenario x(arty rarity = 1.0, inf rarity = 0.9, armour rarity = 0.8) } else n... } else if (variable dependent on scenario exit) { endScenario(lose) } else ...etc But yes, I can see how it could be a time sink and maybe not something BFC need to do.
  18. Yay! Always nice to ruin a kitty's day. IIRC from CMAK the XI had a heavier turret & the 95mm gun. I used to think of it as "creeping death". It'll be ages before we see them in CM2. Worth the wait though.
  19. Do you have multiple copies of the game - like a 1.11 version and a 1.20 version on the go? Check where your shortcut goes to and make sure you've changed it in the correct place. Or are you using Vista? I know it likes to quarantine files sometimes and doesn't put them where you expect.
