Ace Pilot
Just wondering if BFC plans to continue to use "Combat Mission" in the title of each of its CMx2 releases. On the one hand, it certainly has name recognition. But, on the other hand, BFC has made a case for CMx2 being a very different game from CMx1 - so much so that it may need a different name to distinguish it. Any professional marketers want to weigh in before we hear what the official decision is?
General Bolt
I was hoping for something like "Uber Combat Mission"
Sirocco
You have good "brand recognition" with that name. The only downside that comes to mind is if people associate it with dated graphics, and that's simple enough to deal with in reviews and box artwork. What the name really stands for is gameplay, and that's a harder element to get across to potential purchasers. In that sense the name is a "force multiplier".
Philippe
Silly question. Space Lobsters of Doom, of course.
undead reindeer cavalry
in Europe CMBB is "Combat Mission 2" & CMAK "Combat Mission 3". releasing CMx2 titles under "Combat Mission 2" might cause some confusion.

Battlefront.com
The format is: Combat Mission (small text) TITLE (big text) Module title (small text) Written out it would look like "Combat Mission: Space Prawn" for the main title, "Combat Mission: Space Praw - Coral Conundrum" for the first Module. We expect them to be called "Space Prawn" and "Coral Conundrum" by gamers and the press. The format is different in other subtle ways, but it has more to do with the criteria for choosing names, not so much with the actual physcial layout.
