Abbott
WOW! Those shots look fantastic! I have been a bit apprehensive of desert combat, long open stretches. The dust clouds will definitely influence the battles in so many ways. Spotting a dust cloud before spotting enemy units and concealment will make for some interesting situations. Looks like BFC is going to publish another winner!

SaTyR
OMG ! nuff' said ! Edited to say: if this is a BONE, then I'm not filled with any. If this is a bone, I'm just a worthless sack of flesh. OMFG ! (the "F" needs no explanation, I guess) [ August 21, 2003, 05:28 PM: Message edited by: SaTyR ]

JonS
Hmm. Is that a lingering dust-cloud from artillery fire that I see?

MikeyD
So much for that complaint about 'flat featureless terrain'. Desert warfare looks FUN!
Elmar Bijlsma
Very good work BFC. I particularly liked the 'this is what happens to weedy M-13s' sequence. That's no Boys round it ran into. Having just viewed so much goodness it's very impolite of me, but... Show us a Brit infantry man if you can, I'd love to see how those shorts turned out. Was that a British Lee I saw? I always thought the Brits only used the Grant. I guess at the rate they used up armour, you use anything you get.
fitz
You Gotta love those pith helmets!!! Like Gunner Sugden from "It Aint Half Hot Mum"!!!! Shoulders back lovely boy.
Green Hornet
Awesome stuff!!! I'm looking forward to desert warfare even more than before. Great job BFC!
Gpig
Oh BOY!! I LOVE it! My only MINOR gripe-age is that the shadows under the vehicles are just too light. Especially for in the desert. The shadows should be at LEAST as dark as the shadows-bitmaps we can see on the tank hulls (under the tracks/fenders and around the running gear. It looks plenty dark down there.) I wonder if this is even change-able for this engine? P.S. Remeber that modder who gave us all those great mods where the vehicles sides were shaded darker? Who was that mod-man, anyways? Gpig LOVE IT!!!!! [ August 21, 2003, 06:27 PM: Message edited by: Gpig ]

Michael Emrys
Who's a dog? Grrrrrrrrrrrrr. Question: WTF are M10s doing in Africa (page 2 upper right corner shot)? I thought they didn't come along until at least Sicily. Also, it seems to me that vehicles are stirring up a mite too much dust when traveling on paved roads. Otherwise, not too bad. Carry on. Gpig
Are those CRUSADER's (is that what they were called?) in the background, behind the Desert Rat's Stuart? Love it!!! Gpig

Michael CMAK covers Italy, too. Here is a nit -- the explosions in frame 16-18. I like that it looks like lots of debris is flying through the air; however, that effect is spoiled by seeing a perfectly intact (if inert) tank after the explosion. Will this be changed in the next game engine? Steve
Juju
 There's NO way I'm gonna do building mods for CMAK! Quite a relief, really.
panzermartin
Wow! Desert enviroment looks absolutely beautiful with the tall palm trees and bushes. The med mountainous terrain needs some extra treatment of the olive trees and green colors though, imho. Overall it looks really promising
