  1. Here is a question for you. WOT? NO FACTORIES? I for one will miss them.
  2. Got mine this morning, did'nt know it was shipping early so you could have knocked me down with a feather when I opened it. One problem though, Cant play the game till tonight, got to go to work. HI HO HI HO ITS OFF TO WORK I GO.........
  3. You Gotta love those pith helmets!!! Like Gunner Sugden from "It Aint Half Hot Mum"!!!! Shoulders back lovely boy.
  4. Just finished second op. Breath-taking terrain, lots of room to manovure, tough, very tough. Thank god mother nature was on my side and gave me early morning fog or else things might have gone a bit pear-shaped! Can't wait for A2 or for that matter fighting over the old Crimean war sights. Keep up the good work! Fitz
  5. The only German penal unit That I know of was the 999 leichte Afrika-division. The troops were made up of men who had been court-martialed for minor offences such as black market activities. The officers and nco's were all hand picked. The division consisted of 2, possibly 3 motorised infantry regiments Afrika-schutzenregiments 961,962 and possibly 963, an artillery regiment and an engineer battalion, both numbered 999. The disiciplinary soldiers wore no insignia, i.e. no breast and cap eagles, collar-patches or shoulder straps. they even wore plain belt-buckles. The division served in Tunisia. For those of us in yhe UK its quite ironic that a penal division was numbered 999! 6. I am at the moment having an Italian operation playtested in which I have included some CVs for the Italian troops. My question is did the Italians actually use these tankettes in Russia. Some of the websites I have read say yes, others say that the Italians only had L6/40s and Semoventis. Can any one provide conclusive proof one way or the other? I want my operation to be as accurate as possible. Cheers Fitz
  7. Andrew I am sending some stuff to you know. I hope you get it. Some websites to check are web page [url=http://www.commandosupremo.com] I can't wait to see the finished product! On Bersaglieri they were basically light infantry attached to cavalry and armoured divisions. For transportation they used lorries, motor bikes and bicycles. 8. Axis Minors! Nice one! I've started some Mods for Italian troops, not nearly as good as yours. Do you want me to send you some examples with different Divisional patches etc? Say for the Blackshirt Troops or for the Novarra Lancers. Ill only promise to send them if you dont laugh at my pitiful attempt at modding.
  9. Andrew, great work as usual! Whats next on your to do list? Not that i'm being nosey our anything! Fitz
  10. Tooz, its winging its way to you now. Let me know how you get on. Cheers Fitz
  11. Is there any way to pre-set damage to buildings (other than destroyed) in the map editor? I want to simulate an air raid on a city and have large areas with rubble/craters, but those buildings still standing look too untouched. Cheers Fitz
  12. Date 20/10/41 Size Huge Terrain Mixed Rural Region South This is a semi-historical operation of 8 battles each 25+ turns. Made for Axis v AI with AI on default set up. It involves a reinforced Italian Mech Inf. battallion attacking Soviets during their drive for the city of Stalino. Includes river crossing. This is my first operation design so please be gentle with me! Any advice warmly received. Version 1.02 only Cheers Fitz
  13. Anybody know any English language sites on Italian WW2 uniforms and organisation? Cheers Fitz
  14. Andrew, as far as I can make out, the NCO collar tabs were in the usual Drab green/khaki colour with small white metal trianglesin a line along the tab. 1 triangle for junior sergeant, 2 for sergeant, 3 for senior sergeant and 4 for sergeant major. I hope this helps. Fitz
  15. Let us know when the big event happens! About the kid I mean, not the mod release. On second thoughts let us Know about the mod release too!! Good luck with all those sleepless nights, dirty nappies, etc etc. Fitz
  16. Great news about this game and that I can order it direct from BFC. OK so I have read all the posts regarding French troops, dust, Wadis, Greeks etc. etc. but nobody has asked the really important question! Do the commonwealth troops in the desert get to wear those really big, baggy shorts (i.e. "Stanley Mattews Cup Final" types)? I would be so angry if this was'nt the case I would have to think about not buying this thing (for at least a milli-second!) Fitz P.S. Greatcoats?
  17. Not only has Oberst Bergerbitz sent (arrived this morning!!!!) 2 cds with both patches (european no less) but also new scenarios, maps, help files, campaign files and enough mods to sink a battleship, he even sent me a new beer mat!! Such kindness deserves recognition! Cheers mate! I always knew Canadians were not just Yanks with personalities!!
  18. Oberst Bergerblitz, Cheers mate! Do you have the Patches for the dreaded European version? If so you are a life saver. Send me an e-mail and I will let you know my address.
  19. Life does'nt get any easier does it? My new Isp will only allow for 2hrs online before cutting out. No way I can download the huge Cdv patches. Any kind person out ther fancy sending me the patches on a CD, Please? Pretty Please?
  20. Sorry to hear about your system crash. I lost about the same in Mbs when some BASTARDS broke into my house and nicked my computor! I have to start from scratch om cmbo & cmbb all over again!
  21. Snarker, you are quite correct. I can't understand how anybody has the temerity or the cheek to critizise the results of other peoples hard labour which is free for all to download. It is these unselfish artists which help to make this game a joy to behold. If you feel a mod can be improved by pointing out what you feel are inaccuracies then come onto the forum to discuss them in a friendly and open manner. Try not to be too high and mighty or with an "I am right and you are wrong!" attitude. It only results in heated and pointless arguments. After all it's Christmas! And as Tiny Tim said "God bless us every one!" sniff, sniff. Fitz (off to open a bottle of Australian Chardoney!)
  22. The "bedroll" you are asking about could also be from a greatcoat and/or a rain cape. As to why it isn't modded yet, possibly because it would'nt look right on a flat surface. In defence of Soviet winter mods,I think that the latest mod by Andrewtf is as close to the mark as you can get for the early war telogreika, keep up the great work Andrew (pretty please with knobs on!) Fitz
  23. Having gone 12 days without sleep Ivan (on left) began to realise that it might not have been a good idea to swallow 15 bottles of pep pills in one go.
