dalem
Ahh, home ownership. The garage roof, which was supposed to be a 4 hr project starting Wednesday morning at 8am. Finished up at 1pm today (Friday). The roof looks fine, the table they broke will be easy to replace, and the wood trim work they did (since the real guy who was going to do it just plain never showed up) is crappier than I could have done myself and will have to be replaced. But it's over and at estimate cost, which tells me I paid way too much. But it's over. Ye gods, but I wish I knew how to rebuild a bathroom so I could do it myself....

Joe Shaw
btw, where's that grumpy one lately, Mr Goodale? You know, the one with perpetual Pre-Menstrual Syndrome? I like him, he's funny (reminds me of Joe Shaw, and has a similar way with words. Sorry I mean grunts). [big Grin] MaceRight then, I don't take THAT from anyone, especially not someone from Australia who actually DOES grunt when he talks. I shall require a setup or a full and complete retraction! He does seem to have an endless supply of wine!!! A few light taps upon the pane made him turn to the window. It had begun to snow again. He watched sleepily the flakes, silver and dark, falling obliquely against the lamplight. The time had come for him to set out on his journey westward. Yes, the newspapers were right: snow was general all over Ireland....His soul swooned slowly as he heard the snow falling faintly through the universe and faintly falling, like the descent of their last end, upon all the living and the dead.
