White2Golf
I am upgrading my gaming PC sometime this fall. After I have the upgrade version of CMSF2 installed.... Will I need to install CMSF1 on the new PC and then upgrade it again? (After properly uninstalling on old PC first, of course.) I promise to injure myself in some way if this question already has been asked and answered.

It isn't an "upgrade" you are just being treated as an upgrade as a previous owner. Nice deal!
White2Golf
That is cooler than the other side of the pillow. Thanks!
sburke
My suggestion is when you DL the game, copy it to USB. Then when you upgrade you can install direct from the USB (not necessary if you are keeping a hard drive from old pc).
banned
So we basically just need to keep our CMSF1 license keys around in order to vaildate them in the CMSF2 license tool, right?

I haven't seen what the final process will be on the whole upgrade/new title but the only thing the license will drive is your price/discount for CMSF2.

dasitmane
i have my 3 module bundle and my og copy of CMSF1 on two different emails/accounts, will this affect me getting the upgrade discount or do i just need to have access to the license keys and the accounts do not matter?

Dr.Fusselpulli
I bought the physical version of Combat Mission: Shock Force by Paradox on Amazon (which was my first Combat Mission game), and bought the 3 Modules Bundle afterwards here on the website in 2012. I would like to upgrade as well, but of course, my purchase of the base game is not listed in the Battlefront system. One of the reasons why I didn´t played SF anymore was indeed the difference in the engine ability compared to the newer games. I bugged me to have syrian crews with Makarov pistols in the inventory, but their model was showing an AKM. Or that there were no onmap Mortars. Or that there were no teams of specialists in the editor. I am very happy, that Shock Force was updated, and I hope I will be able to update my version, even if it was the phyiscal one by Paradox.
waffelmann
I have the paradox-version and all 3 modules too. I can't find this 1-Dollar-Patch (Is it possible, that this patch wasn't necessary, if you own the marines-modul?). So the big question is: Is there a way that the paradox-version enables a discount or is it necessary to buy the base-game again? (I don't care which way I have to go, but when I have to re-buy the base-game I would preorder now). Or is this a question for the support? greetings, alex
vicco
I have the CMSF1 PC version. Will the upgrade allow me to pick PC or Mac version or will we get both PC & Mac versions?

I have all the expansions but I had the paradox version of the base game. Problem is I have no idea where the box or the manual are now, and I assume the keycode was printed on one of them. I didn't even know about this $1 patch until a few days back. Suspect it might be fun few months for Battlefront! :)

breiz84
Hello, I am also the owner of CMSF1 (paradox without license) and the three modules (battlefront with licenses). Only, the module "Nato" appears in the history of my purchases CMSF1.For those who are in the same case as me, the first two modules of CmSf are they still visible in your list?My original version is installed and all modules are activated on my pc.When the paid upgrade of this version of the game will be available, will this patch totally upgrade the game or only the module that appears in the history of my purchases on Battlefront.com?
Dr.Fusselpulli
I paid for all three modules in the bundle at once and this purchase is still visible in the history of my profile, yes. I have to imagine that if your account shows that you purchased the Marines module previously, support will assume you own the base game since the Marines module must have to base game to work. I don't know if any of the later modules could be installed without the Marines module though.

You can have one on a Mac, and the other on a PC at the same time. Think Mac for one, and Windows on Boot Camp for the other. It does recommend MacOS 10.13.xx and Windows 10 though.
breiz84
I just realized, that my internet access provider changed its name (neuf.com in sfr.fr) a few years ago, so I changed my email address and password at Battlefront at this time .My first orders remained on the old address became inaccessible. Fortunately I had saved the installation files of modules Marines and British forces and kept the licenses. This, to explain the disappearance of these two purchases from my list.
mjkerner
Sorry for being a bit thick, but I haven’t had any coffee yet this morning and I want to make certain I’m tracking right. I own CMSF1 (purchased from BFC) and all 3 modules. As I understand it, I don’t need to pre-order anything, and can just wait for CMSF2 to be released, and then buy the upgrades to all 4 products at that time, correct?

There is currently no preorder option for the upgrade, only for those seeking to add or purchase for the first time.
