sttp
CMFB is awesome so far. Great job BFC. I just used the scenario editor to go through a bunch of the master maps, and... whoa, they are stunning! Tons of potential there for 3rd party scenario designers.
76mm
I used to get emails from battlefront about pre-orders, games going for sale, etc, but have not gotten anything about CMFB, although I have not changed emails. Has something changed on your side?

Michael Emrys
Well, it apparently did continue DLing through the night while I slept, but when I woke up this morning, I could not open the file. So I trashed it and began another DL. But that is still going at the same crippled snail's pace, so I am thinking of canceling the DL and coming back in a day or two when things have settled down. As you might imagine, I am not entirely pleased with this. At this rate, the disk I ordered might arrive here before the DL! herr_oberst
DL'ed at work over lunch. Hmm, wonder how it would look on the 60" in a conference room...

Pretty damn good I would guess. One of the first things I did once I started working a a company with proper meeting rooms I still prefer to play at home though - less distraction and less annoyed bosses. I can only annoy one boss when I am at home

Vanitas
I am a bit confused... Is this game being released? I see no announcement...
A Canadian Cat
Yes, the game *is* released they just have not announced it yet. Steve said that will come soon - but you don't care - now that you know you can just go get it

The soft release basically means that the people, like you, who pay attention and read the forums and see the announcement/link get access a little bit earlier then the general release. Either way, its out now! Time to get back to destroying tanks!

kensal
Btw having played Chaumont on the demo, I have noticed that there is absolute no lag on the orders phase on my 2007 iMac, even though it is relatively big map. The difference to CMBN is enormous, where lag is really tough on the bigger maps - Linnet II in the Great Swan (admittedly a much bigger map again) is almost unplayable for me. I hope this is the same in the full CMFB. I wonder what the issue is - I know Normandy maps have more details (bocage/trees) which cause performance issues and I also have a fairly full Z folder (but not sound mods) and I wonder if that causes an issue, or whether the fact that CMBN is now a amalgam of several patches, added modules, BPs etc has an effect whereas CMFB is a single product. Sorry I'm rambling while awaiting the download....
