  1. Most crimes have a period when they are viewed as still being a crime and someone accused of a crime has to stay hidden until that time has passed and there's no need to worry about having to go to prison or to defend oneself from being falsely accused. Only murder doesn't have that kind of period in some countries and in other countries murder has a period of 40 or 50 years, if I'm correct. What time period are we talking about for calling someone a mother ****er before it's more or less forgotten?
  2. Couldn't you wait til June, when according to Steven their will be a bundle which makes it a bit cheaper to buy both? You really must have believed the talks about how fantastic F&R is.
  3. Exactly. Sorry for the confusion. I gave him the wrong name and ts4ever it is.
  4. The one called ts4seven does it in a good way in wich he only shows the one minute action so the viewer doesn't have to see him do his movements. That could be an easy way of doing it. And if you wanted to emphasise something you'd just repeat that from the angle or angles you prefer. The aar which is done with a lot of editing and made to look like a film or documentary is of course more fun to watch but also requires more time. So the ts4seven approach should be the easiest way.
  5. Does those words mean that you might buy Red Thunder later on when the bundle is released? If I'm correct your mindset has been that one game is enough as all the Combat Mission WW2 games are too similar. I have had that same mindset myself but will probably buy Red Thunder later on as I'd like to fight the Soviet heavier tanks and assault guns and would also like to see what it's like to meet the Soviet submachine gun platoons.
  6. With Fire and Rubble having partisans and volksturm militia, is it possible for those who have that module to make a scenario or play a quick battle in let's say July 1944 and add men from those militias or are they only able to be used in scenarios and quick battles which occure during the timespan of Fire and Rubble? I'm asking this because there was the Omakaitse defence militia in Estonia during July and up to September or October 1944, and most likely similar defence militias in Latvia and Lithuania during the same period, trying to help out in defending their country against the Soviets. Those who later on maybe would like to make scenarios, or campaigns, about the fighting in any of those Baltic States would maybe like to be able to have those defence militias present.
  7. I suppose the Luftwaffe didn't have so many airplanes left to use during the last months of 1945. And the situation with airsupport being reported as "preparing" for a very long time maybe depends on how close to the end of the war that scenario battle is being fought.
  8. I'm a bit more than halfway into the book The Forgotten Soldier, buy the Eastern Front veteran Guy Mouminoux who wrote under the pseudonym Guy Sajer, which is a book that contains both the horrors of the front but also a bit of humour in it. Although I haven't experienced any battle myself it seems to me that he tells things just how it could have been. Especially when he writes about the moments of being bombarded by the Soviets and the fear of being overrun by the assaulting Soviet troops one can almost feel what it must have been like. On Wikipedia it says about the book that Dutch film director Paul Verhoeven has discussed with Mouminoux the possibility of turning the book into a film. If that happens and they follow the book I'm sure it would be an interesting film to watch.
  9. Where exactly did you read this? As far as I know Steven or anyone else from Battlefront hasn't mentioned anything about specifications required for a CM3. And nothing has been mentioned about there going to be a new game engine although many here have hopes of one.
  10. If those "about five battalions" don't sit on the map from the beginning but come in piece by piece during the battle it should hopefully work with most computers.
  11. I think Steven mentioned 1 June for that to arrive. But it might of course become available a bit later than that.
  12. The reason for restricting a player's ability to move things around can be that AT-guns, mines and other things are placed were they where during the battle. Another reason could be to give the player a bit of a bigger challenge to manage the situation.
  13. Why judge a WW2 situation on how things were after WW2? Prussia is northern central Europe and was only seen as belonging to eastern Europe because of the so called Iron Curtain which put many central european countries in the cathegory called "East Europe". I'm pretty sure Polish and Czech people don't consider themselves as eastern europeans but central europeans, just as Austrians never considered themselves as eastern europeans and during the time of the Iron Curtain wasn't seen as part of East Europe although Austria, Czech Rep. and Poland are positioned quite similarly if one draws a line from the Baltic Sea to The Mediterannean.
  14. What were the issues and the reason for it to cause crashes? Is the scenario on a huge map with several battalions of infantry which some computers couldn't manage very well?
  15. I have for some time been annoyed over having the halftrack gunners getting shot what seems very easily. Maybe the reason is that they aren't low down enough and too exposed. If that is something which should be corrected to have them positioned more correct I hope that will be done in the next patch.
  16. Although I don't have RT I'll wait for this one to be finished so it can be stacked with the other custom made campaigns and scenarios I collect for the day when I buy the game.
  17. That's the Twitch.tv live video SmartWarGames did yesterday. And as you see he later on uploaded it to youtube.
  18. You will now get a whole lot of replies within the next five hours.
  19. I suggest that you mention which game you're playing so people know whether it's worth the time to download your save and try to open it.
  20. I'm pretty sure the smoke will block the view and the area fire will stop. Go to the editor and use it for a test to see what happens.
  21. It would probably help to live somewhere where you can have a more modern internet connection. The telephone dial-up modem version aren't used but on the more distant places.
  22. I'm sure there are quite a few who should be sleeping now and go to work tomorrow that won't get that necessary sleep.
  23. Do they deliver hookers on wheelchairs now?
  24. The words above sound like they plan to release F&R this weekend. I'm already on youtube and twitch.tv waiting for the first F&R video to be uploaded. Under the bed is a box of urine bottles and bedpans I borrowed from the hospital and I have my window open so I can get the food delivered through it so I won't miss that video.
  25. When doing this it would have been more intetesting if the trenches were deeper than they are in the games to make it harder to know what's behind the corners. But to make it more "real" there would have to be the option to choose to chuck a grenade before moving forward in case there were enemies there.
