Steve did talk about giving us some of that a few years back.
I shall continue to remind him whenever the chance arises. 🙏

    You absolutely have a choice.
I do it to support BFC's cash flow.
There aren't many companies I would trust to pre-order from, but after over 20 years, I have no worries about not getting the product or regretting having bought it.

If pre-order doesn't make sense for anyone, then don't do it.  but why bother to comment on it here?
I do it to show support for a small company that gives me hundreds of hours of historically-based wargaming entertainment and doesn't sell out and become World of Tanks or some other twitchy gamey thing -- the kind of games that make a lot of money.
Now that I've been nice to them I demand they immediately release eastern front 1941-43.

Definitely true and the reason why I would only pre-order from a couple of companies.

Curiosity. That's why I said "genuinely puzzled".

I'm referring to the latest production (Jan'45-May'45) characterized by:
     - It has 3 return rollers (instead that the typical 4 of Pz IV).
     - The replaced of schurzen  by wire-mesh panels.
     - The addition of two flame-suppressing mufflers in the exhaust system, as you can observe on the JgPz IV/70(V) (late) of FB.

One thing that caught my eye: the StG44 is listed as a new weapon for the Germans, even though it already was in the basegame. Oversight or is there some cool new variant?

Motherboard throughput / data transfer is just as important as top end cards, SSDs and ram.
You can only process data as fast as the slowest piece in the system.

Tom's Hardware used to be a good source for matching components.  Might want to nose around over there if you haven't already.

Sigh. I started to read and I'm sure I will eventually read it all but bloody hell the second topic after introducing the line up of a 20 year success story is to bitch again about BFC's upgrade strategy. An upgrade strategy that is key to that success BTW. If CMBN was not updated I am not sure if I would still be playing it - but I am nearly every day. Just because some people are confused does not mean something is confusing or wrong. I know there are people that don't like to hear it but - grow up. No other software out there is supported with bug fixes forever. It is normal for new features and new programs to require newer versions of other software that they interact with. It is just the way software works.

No, I just don't believe in nagging about something like this.....It'll be ready when it's ready, or it won't.  Nothing we type here will make the slightest difference.

Maybe not weird, but when I target a Bradley at a building, it launches a Tow, then starts to reload TOW and doesn't fire cannon. Before TOW reloads, which takes an age, often get an RPG that takes it out. Maddening. I would much prefer TOW not to reload, and fire cannon instead (unless targeting a target against which cannon would have no effect, but even then, may prefer cannon if it strips off external systems and shocks crew).

    Would be nice.
    ^^This!
It would be interesting to see something like this. It is a big architecture issue for sure so really only on the table for a major product rework. They made the choice they have been operating on with the development of CM2. By now they can see the upside and downsides of that choice. I'll be looking forward to Steve talking about he and Charles choice for CM3 at some point.
