    Very cool what the game can do.  
    A spy does buddy aid.  During buddy aid he obtained an assault rifle, binoculars and hand grenades.
     
    Later he takes out an XO team with the assault rifle and hand grenades. 
     

     
    And here he is with the binoculars looking for his next victims..........

    COOL, COOL game.

    Yep, spies can buddy aid weapons (I've only seen them take assault rifles not sure if they can take an RPG or MMG).  If the spy does take a weapon and you don't want the spy to give himself away, by using it, he will need a small 360o Target Arc.  With civilian density set to very heavy spies can Move very close to a checkpoint before being noticed .  However only the human player controlled spy has the Move command.  All AI assigned movement commands are at the double time which is considered suspicious and negates the civilian density setting some (not clear on how much yet).  The AI will also crawl when very tired however this is also considered suspicious activity.  A human controlled spy can be given the Move command and calmly walk very close to a checkpoint or group of OpFor troops.  And if the spy has an assault rifle..........

    Yes that is essentially the case - your HVT would be set as a 'Destroy' objective in the Unit Objective part of the editor with a high point value. If the HVT is killed you get the points, if the HVT isn't killed you don't get the points.
    Otherwise clever/different/interesting/alternative ways of making mission objectives is a pretty broad church. Generally, the best have a mix of different types of objectives but this is not always the case. Your objectives should be tailored to your mission narrative and if that narrative suits 'capture ground' then this will work fine. Sometimes simple solutions are the most elegant and best way of doing things rather than trying to be too clever.

    Bil, excellent AAR as always
    You are the best source that BF has as to how to promote and showcase these games.
    I always enjoy that fact that you put out there a clear description as to what you are tactically thinking and trying to accomplish.
    And your tactical skills seem to reward you better in the modern battlefield over the WWII one.  
    You generally get no second chances or much luck on the modern battlefield. Death is easy and quick and each decision is rewarded with that or success in a very few moments.

    Love the new video and before I go any further I want to thank you for all the time and effort you spent to making it (especially for a first time scenario designer like me).....That is very much appreciated. 
    Really impressed with your result.....That was actually a rather brilliant victory (Highlight to reveal hidden text):  As you probably guessed ISIS were about to emerge from all the concealed tunnel entrances and have a crack at taking the mosque back!  You beat them to the punch by several minutes.....Very, very well done indeed!
    In the first seconds your Abrams did you a humongous favour (Highlight to reveal hidden text): The buiding it fired on was the location of the Triggerman for the Huge IED in the Taxi!
    Great to see the citizens of Mosul getting in on the fight, but amazed to see the ISIS SPAAGnical alive so late in the game, that one usually attracted a JDAM in my tests!
    Felt a bit sorry for the team at about 12:30, they were within yards of the Ansar Road, but ISIS are everywhere!
    Enjoyed the coordinated assault on the Local ISIS HQ & the way your CTS dealt with the ISIS leadership was just classic.....Your dudes genuinely looked p*****d off! 
    Taking the mosque as swiftly and efficiently as you did, was a very good move indeed.

    Any chance you could ping me a screen shot of the location, I suspect it's the same one that @sburke found, but I'd like to be certain.....Pathfinding on this map is complex enough without me screwing the player in advance. 
    You can probably understand why building it took so long now that you've had a wander around it and for this one all I was doing was tweaking @LongLeftFlank's work to better match an area of Mosul (if you are interested in making a comparison, this was formerly the area to the east of the cemetery in Ramadi).....I owe a huge debt of gratitude to @Combatintman who wad the patience to check it for me more than once (& much more besides). 
    For 'Al Hutumah', the sequel to this mission, I've had to make rather more drastic changes and it's taking me absolutely ages! 
    Close.....It's actually around 0400hrs in a month's time, so you will be back to full strength and you even get a couple of new toys.
    This also gives me cover to explain all the destruction on the overlapping section of the new map that @SLIM didn't actually cause (But @borg so did!   ).....ISIS had to emerge from those tunnels at some point and dealing with them would probably have made a mess.....Which incidentally is pretty much exactly what happened historically.

    From the Horses Mouth.  All QB Maps have multiple AI plans for both sides... typically 3 Plans minimum.   Master Maps are not made by me.  They are beautiful and historically accurate.  They Do Not have AI plans

    It wasn't clear that that means that there will be no future additions to CMSF, which seems to be what you're saying.

    Sorry ! for not following the main theme for this thread...purely elite/special forces...
     
    I just wanted to jump in and say that maybe an option could be to not just limit it to a special forces pack...
    The number of such forces seems to be a bit limited (on the plus side it would obviously go faster to crank such a pack out...)
    But as an alternative...Maybe release a somewhat larger pack (maybe module). One that would also  include some second line germans like zinzan mentioned and perhaps also
    partisans, french forces etc
     
    partisans could be a good addition here for example...
