    CMFB Campaign: Fields of Tears
Fields of Tears is a interactive CMFB Campaign that picks up where my CMBN Campaign: In the Fields Where the Poppies Grow leaves off and follows the actions of Captain Charles Stevens and A Company, 31st Tank Battalion, 7th Armored Division, around St. Vith, Belgium during the Battle of the Bulge.
It requires the latest version of CMFB and all immersion mods needed are in the download. They are tagged to this campaign only.
It is playable from the Blue Side only.
The campaign is a story driven campaign like "Poppies" where you must keep Stevens and other important personnel alive and still complete the mission objectives to advance in the campaign. The storyline is in the Designer Notes for each mission.
The campaign begins with a mission in Germany and then continues after the Germans launch their Ardennes offensive Unternehmen Wacht am Rhein. Elements of the 7th Armored Division, the 31st Tank Battalion, including Captain Stevens and A Company are sent to the St. Vith area where they are to make contact and destroy the enemy forces advancing on the town.
The campaign is based loosely on historical facts.

The other maps in the campaign are from the excellent master maps that came with the game. I reworked them extensively to achieve the immersion I was after for the campaign.
Mods: (All credit goes to the authors of the mods)
US and German Snowy Uniforms and Gear by Ithikial.
    King Tiger Mod by PzPJ
American Sherman Pack and Gear by Aris
    Snowy US Vehicles by Umlaut
Mords US Portraits by Mord (modified by me with the unit insignias used in the campaign.)
Various winter fortifications from the Winter Mod by the Winter Mod Team
Assorted damaged vehicle textures by me
Special Note: I used Worghern Blitzkrieg Environment : CMFB 2.0 while designing the campaign which is not included in the download. I highly recommend adding this as the campaign was designed and modified using these textures as well as the Winter Mod for CMFB which will work seamlessly with Worgherns mod.. While it can be played without these I highly recommend using them as the tags in the campaign will pick them up.

dragonwynn got a reaction from Wodin in New CMRT Campaign: The Cross of Iron
The Cross of Iron is a interactive story driven campaign of a German tank company from June 22, 1944 thru June 26. In this campaign you take the role of Hauptman Johan Clauss, Commander of 1.Kompanie, 501 PzAbt during the opening phases of Operation Bagration. The campaign is designed with the latest version of CMRT and it is semi-historical.

As Clauss you will be faced with completing missions you have been given and somehow keep your Kompanie alive. You will at specific times during the campaign be forced to make hard decisions that can change the path of the campaign for better or worse.

It is very important that you read ALL of the briefings and designer notes as these drive the storyline of the campaign. Also Clauss must be kept alive or the campaign will conclude.

Also there are a number of mod tags within the campaign which will result in a rather robust download which is why the campaign is only available on the GAJ site here http://cmmods.greenasjade.net/mods/5458/details. The designer note for the campaign gives a detailed breakdown of the mods used and acknowledges the fine work done by the authors of those mods. In particular I believe that this is the first scenarios/campaign that uses a large part of Umlaut's outstanding factory mod, which in my opinion added the immersion effect that I wanted for this campaign.

To install unzip the zip file and copy the campaign file(.cam) to your campaign directory in CMRT and copy the folder panzermike (mods) to your data/z folder and you should be good to go.

I truly hope those who give it a try will find it enjoyable. I do feel it will be a difficult campaign to complete but it should be rewarding if you do.

Please direct any comments, suggestions etc to this thread so I can make any necessary improvements as they are brought to my attention. It was a great deal of time involved to create this campaign and I want it to be a enjoyable experience.

dragonwynn got a reaction from Wodin in CMBS Campaign: The Eagle and the Bear
The Eagle and the Bear is a narrative hypothetical campaign of a clash between NATO and Russian forces in the small Baltic country of Latvia. It is a campaign of modern war set in a "could happen" situation where you command a  U.S. Combat Brigade through a 7 day struggle for control of the Baltics.

It is designed to be played from the blue side only. Some scenarios are large so it may be slow load times on some systems.

It features 11 scenarios, 9 which are playable based on the outcomes of specific battles. I've tried to include a fair number of combat situations from small infantry engagements, airlift operations, urban battles as well as large sprawling armor engagements.

You take the role of Colonel Mack Barnes, commanding officer of the 3rd Armored Brigade Combat Team and your mission is to successfully take the brigade as well as other NATO forces through 7 days of modern combat. Below is a list of the scenarios and the campaign path:

    Battle 1- Never Cry Wolf
    (Win- The Water Dogs
    (Lose- Campaign Over)

    Battle 2- The Water Dogs
    (Win- The Crossroads of Naudaskalns
    (Lose- Campaign Over)

    Battle 3- Crossroads at Naudaskalns
    (Win- FOB Lancer
    (Lose- Campaign Over)

    Battle 4- FOB Lancer
    (Win - Hill 289.7)
(Lose- The Bear at the Gates)

    Battle 5- Hill 289.7
    (Win- Operation Hammer)
    (Lose- The Siege of Balvi)

Battle 6- The Bear at the Gates
    (Win- Operation Hammer)
    (Lose- Campaign Over)

Battle 7- The Siege of Balvi
    (Win - Operation Eagle Strike
    (Lose- Campaign Over)

    Battle 8- Operation Hammer
    (Win- Turning the Tide)
    (Lose- Campaign Over)

    Battle 9- Operation Eagle Strike
    (Win- The Battle of Krievkalns)
    (Lose- Campaign Over)

Battle 10 - Turning the Tide
    (Win- The Battle of Krievkalns)
    (Lose- Campaign Over)

Battle 11- The Battle of Krievkalns
    (Win - Victorious)
    (Lose - Defeated)

Here is a list of the combatants involved:

    NATO:

    Latvian 1st Infantry Brigade
    Latvian 2nd Infantry Brigade
    Polish 2nd Mechanized Battalion
    Polish 1st Tank Battalion
    Polish 6th Airborne Brigade
    1st Stryker Combat Brigade Team
    1st Calvary Regiment
3rd Armored Combat Brigade Team (Core Unit)

    Soviet 20th Guards Army:

    9th Guards Motor Rifle Brigade
    5th Guards Motor rifle Brigade
    27th Guards Motor Rifle Brigade
    16th Spetsnaz Brigade
    56th Airborne Brigade
    100th Reconnaissance Brigade
    6th Guards Tank Brigade
    4th Guards Tank Brigade
    1st Tank Brigade

(Special Note: Due to game limitations the Latvian forces were taken from the stock Ukrainian forces with standard camouflage. The Polish forces are Ukrainian forces with digital camouflage to distinguish them differently.

The Latvian military primarily uses western equipment so they have been equipped with humvee's mostly. However I used MT-LBM's as their APC's. The Poles have the KTO-Wolverine APC which I used BTR-4E's to simulate these as well as the PT-91 Twardy MBT which is simulated by the BM-Bulat MBT.)

There are a number of personalities besides Col. Barnes that you will meet as the campaign unfolds. Each will play a part.

As with my previous campaign I have included modtags and the needed files. However I do highly recommend Kieme's outstanding CMBS mods to get the full immersion.

I am looking for a few playtesters to check it out and help me weed out any bugs I may have overlooked. If you are interested let me know and I will send you a dropbox link to the campaign to try out.

dragonwynn got a reaction from Holman in New CMRT Campaign: The Cross of Iron

Ok I reloaded all the core units into each scenario in the campaign and repositioned them. Of course with the setup zones you can move them as desired.  Hopefully this fixes the bug where none of the core unit stats were moving forward from each battle. I have not had a chance to test so let me know if it still persists. Also I reduced the amount of reinforcements in the last fight to make for a tougher challenge.

dragonwynn got a reaction from 37mm in CMRT Mini-Campaign: The Hill
The Hill is a 3 battle mini-campaign of a semi-historical action of the 6. SS Panzergrenadier Regiment (Totenkopf) during August, 1943 near the Mius River. The regiment Totenkopf is tasked with holding Hill 203.4 southeast of the town of Marinovka against the assault by the 40th Guards Rifle Division during the 3rd, 4th and 5th of August.

Under the command of Sturmbannfuhrer Hansen your orders are to hold the hill at all costs with the resources available until relief arrives.

Very little intel is available so you must allocate your forces and anticipate where the attacks will be concentrated. The setup zone allows for you to reposition all forces available except for the command bunkers and associated support units at the very top of the hill. Choose carefully in your positioning and consider having a reaction force available if things get "exciting".

This campaign is designed with the latest game version and is playable from the German side only. Due to the map size and units involved it may play slowly on older systems. It is designed primarily as a infantry engagment though armor will play a role for both sides.

The campaign showcases tagged mods from Vein and Umlaut. All the required mods and tags are included in the download. Simply put the mod folder in your data z directory and the .cam file in your campaign directory.

Make sure to read all the briefings as they drive the storyline as well as information for each scenario.

The entire campaign takes place on a single map that is my first map creation attempt. However in my infinite wisdom the map was 95% completed when I realized my orientation was wrong. So during the campaign ignore the compass. North is south and east is west so let the imagination juices flow.

I hope you enjoy the campaign and any comments or suggestions are welcome on this thread.

Units involved in the campaign are as follows:

    Germans (Totenkopf)

    1. 6.SS Panzergrenadier Regiment
    2. 3.SS Panzer Aufklarung Abt.
    3. 3.SS Panzer Pioneer Kompanie
    4. II/SS Panzer Regiment 3

I have done a complete reworking of this campaign to get it to where I originally envisioned it to be. The  units involved are the same however I reworked the German and Russian OOB's as well as correcting the mess that was the Russian AI. The Germans have a been scaled back some in strength by removing 1 platoon of Tigers and the Soviets have gotten a small boost in some of their unit stats to make them a bit more stubborn. This should make for a more balanced campaign. I also reworked the briefings a little as well as the graphics.

This was my first attempt at a campaign and since I feel i am a little better I felt like this one needed a redo.

I also included the necessary mod files from Umlauts factory mod that models the water tower for those who do not have his full mod downloaded. Just put the mod folder in your data z folder and the water tower should show up in Ponyri now.

For those who have played or are planning to give it a try please delete the old mess and try this one out. I feel it will be a much better experience.

dragonwynn got a reaction from OrdeaL in CMBS Campaign: The Eagle and the Bear

    (Lose- Campaign Over)

Battle 11- The Battle of Krievkalns
    (Win - Victorious)
    (Lose - Defeated)

    NATO:

    Latvian 1st Infantry Brigade
    Latvian 2nd Infantry Brigade
    Polish 2nd Mechanized Battalion
    Polish 1st Tank Battalion
    Polish 6th Airborne Brigade
    1st Stryker Combat Brigade Team
    1st Calvary Regiment
3rd Armored Combat Brigade Team (Core Unit)

    Soviet 20th Guards Army:

    9th Guards Motor Rifle Brigade
    5th Guards Motor rifle Brigade
    27th Guards Motor Rifle Brigade
    16th Spetsnaz Brigade
    56th Airborne Brigade
    100th Reconnaissance Brigade
    6th Guards Tank Brigade
    4th Guards Tank Brigade
    1st Tank Brigade

(Special Note: Due to game limitations the Latvian forces were taken from the stock Ukrainian forces with standard camouflage. The Polish forces are Ukrainian forces with digital camouflage to distinguish them differently.

The Latvian military primarily uses western equipment so they have been equipped with humvee's mostly. However I used MT-LBM's as their APC's. The Poles have the KTO-Wolverine APC which I used BTR-4E's to simulate these as well as the PT-91 Twardy MBT which is simulated by the BM-Bulat MBT.)

There are a number of personalities besides Col. Barnes that you will meet as the campaign unfolds. Each will play a part.

As with my previous campaign I have included modtags and the needed files. However I do highly recommend Kieme's outstanding CMBS mods to get the full immersion.

I am looking for a few playtesters to check it out and help me weed out any bugs I may have overlooked. If you are interested let me know and I will send you a dropbox link to the campaign to try out.

dragonwynn got a reaction from Vergeltungswaffe in CMBS Campaign: The Eagle and the Bear

    (Win- Operation Hammer)
    (Lose- The Siege of Balvi)

Battle 6- The Bear at the Gates
    (Win- Operation Hammer)

dragonwynn got a reaction from Blazing 88's in CMBS Shadow of the Motherland Campaign
I recreated the core file and core units and have placed all forces in each scenario of the campaign. I have tested it through 3 battles and everything seems to be working fine. So I will try and upload again and hopefully all will be good. This turned out to be a real adventure.

The campaign consists of 8 total battles of which the player will play in 7 depending on the chosen path you take.

Here is a short list of the changes made based on testers suggestions and comments:

Added some replacement squads as reinforcements for losses obtained during each battle. This should add a better balance.
Gave players additional setup zones space in most scenarios for those who like to place their own forces. I tried to group the player forces together in their associated companies, platoons and squads for easier placement.
Reworked some AI issues (especially the last battle which had some bugged AI) for most scenarios to add a better challenge.
Added some additional detail to the maps

Once again all the previous details still apply. I feel the story is unique so it is important to read all the briefings and designer notes (The story). It is imperative to keep Capt. Koval alive.

Any additional comments or suggestions are welcome as I am trying to improve my skills at scenario and campaign creation. But most importantly I just want each who give it a try to enjoy and have fun with it.

    Thanks
    Mike
