  1. Fair enough, I just feel as if the tone some people have when these kinds of questions come up is a little to aggressive, I understand we see them all the time, but being antagonistic towards them every-time (Even if they themselves are as well) doesn't really solve anything.
  2. Once again like I pointed out in the other thread, people that want CM on Steam are not out to ruin CM we want it to succeed and do even better than it is right now. Treating new guys who come on to the site to see if it will be available on Steam like dirt does nothing except show how ignorant this community can be to new ideas, and that goes for including new features in game as well as steam.
  3. You are being just as ignorant/aggressive as the person you were just arguing with, obviously some of its customer base DOES want it on Steam (Including me) because topics are made pretty often by members new or old. Being a newer FORUM member means nothing if the person has been playing CM since it came out and didn't want to participate on the forums until now. You really need to step off your high horse and accept the fact that Steam is something that is around and people like to use, some even in this community.
  4. Chris streams on Twitch every sunday at 3PM Pacific standard time (He is actually streaming right now at http://www.twitch.tv/chrisnd you can find recorded streams on his channel that I just linked or on Youtube- https://www.youtube.com/channel/UCBpTlmn6rxJr6rZ0oabOV1Q <----Here.
  5. I don't remember a time there was a Steam outage in the past two years or so, what you experienced was scheduled maintenance that happens around a certain time that I am sure you can look up. During that maintenance time if you are not logged in you can not login to Steam, however if you are online you will automatically be switched to offline mode.
  6. You would be surprised at the number of people who play games like Hearts of Iron 3 on Steam and games like Panzer Corp from Matrix. Now Panzer Corp isn't as complex but there are people out there who if they are exposed to it will probably love Combat Mission, people just don't know it exists. A demo on Steam for Red Thunder for example, would be a great way to gauge if this is the kind of game people are looking for on Steam.
  7. Another idea that is an off-shoot of this is for BFC to have a thread where you can have your name added to the game. The Wargame series (Escalation, Red Dragon) let you do this and it was always fun to see my name pop-up.
  8. I don't find this to be a limitation, especially in WE-GO where you have the opportunity to rewind a turn over and over as much as you want. As for real-time in-game text pop-ups would be useful, but you can also pause during real-time to assess the situation. Situational awareness isn't lacking either if you know what to look for as sburke has already explained in his post (flashing icons, ETC). Is player information something that can be improved upon? absolutely, but to call it a "lack" of situational awareness and a "major" limitation is just silly.
  9. CMBN will not be receiving new modules, however it may get more packs. CMBN will also continue to be patched up in line with other titles, if applicable.
  10. I don't understand why that would be a reason to not make a Cold War CM, just write the story like any other Cold war war-game that doesn't involve nuclear weapons. If that is truly the reason it is a very weak one, CM Fulda Gap (for example) would be a great way to include thousands upon thousands of different tactical scenarios involving a large variety of nations, units and locations.
  11. Their is a mission included with Market Garden that deals with Fallschirmjager counter-attacking US forces around St. Lo.
  12. CW adds British paratroopers, Market Garden adds Fallschirmjager.
  13. I stand corrected, thanks. I thought he was referring to that specific tank that was vulnerable on the map at the reinforcement location.
  14. You haven't been watching, listening, or reading very closely then...
  15. During a campaign battle? No. Before starting the next campaign battle? Yes.
  16. Steve you should probably tell the RPS guys a Bulge game is on the way from you, they seem a bit distraught thinking about the lack of them recently! http://www.rockpapershotgun.com/2014/12/26/the-flare-path-battle-of-the-bulge-wargames/
  17. "Personnel carrier" Its just shorter than saying APC in tank crew speak, I am sure pnzrldr can elaborate on it, but I am almost positive that is the reason! Disclaimer- I may have learned that from Steel Beasts
  18. "Cauldron" is a hilariously great book, there is nothing else like reading about modern France and Germany invading Poland. The way Bond writes it though at the tactical and strategic level is amazing, a conflict so ridiculous is actually made to be pretty plausible haha.
  19. Chris is streaming right now, first mission of the American campaign in Black Sea! http://www.twitch.tv/chrisnd
  20. Second post after BF announcement- 10012015, what makes me deserve it more than everyone else? Hmph, its simply because I am always right...
  21. While it is certainly a relatively large problem I wouldn't go as far as not using ATGM vehicles at all. They still have there utility, find good hull down/concealed positions and they can wreak havoc on armor, especially those with the capability of firing more than one ATGM at once which are present in-game.
