Exactly one year after the first announcement, the project is now finished. In order to avoid
misunderstandings on the part of the company Battlefront.com, I chose the name CampaignPack 😎.
The pack (as described in former threads) consists of 5 campaigns in which the player is thrown
into the events of the summer of 1944 in the sector of the German Army Group Center.
In total you will play minium 52 single missions, maximum 55 single missions (depending on one
branch). To avoid technical problems, I didn't add any mods to the campaigns. But I can, for example,
highly recommend the excellent work of @JM Stuff, especially his extraordinary mod collection of vehicles
and wrecks 👍
I recently visited the forum regularly to stay in touch with people who wanted to register. However, I have
asked the people at Battlefront.com several times to delete my profile.  This request has not yet been
granted to me, so as a quasi "undead" I will always stop by - but I will no longer take part in any discussions

Impressive story, Frank. Thank you for sharing that with us. Can't have been easy. My advice would be to ignore this reaction, make use of this publicity and finish your work. Personally I would be disappointed if your thread will not be unlocked again soon.

This will be my last comment on this topic:
1. I will not defend myself against accusations that are absolutely grotesque. What do you think? That I am selling Battlefront products illegally via their official forum? To earn what? 150 Dollars ? 😂
2. I have invested a lot of time to create such a huge BattlePack. It was primarily for my personal pleasure. Why did I invest so much time ? I don’t normally post any personal backgrounds, but in this context let me give a short explanation: 
After working in Level A hospitals for 15 years, during the last year I was member of a medical intervention team. My job is to wait for emergency calls. Sometimes there isn‘t any of these so that you are waiting for endless hours. During this time, I am payed AND I can do what I like: sleeping, reading books or watching TV … or doing some PC game stuff like CM. For example: some month ago, last September I started my day and we had to resuscitate a three year old boy who had a cardiac arrest when suddenly stop breathing while he was sleeping. His diagnosis was a huge brain tumor and he passed away some weeks later. Some hours later, I had to open the chest of a 24 year old girl in the ditch who was trapped under her own car. 
Between these two rescue missions, I created CM stuff, as a form of relaxation. 
 
3. Of course, if one creates such stuff, it is nice to share the result with a community like in this forum. I did contact Battlefront in order to get (may be) some logistical support (especially for playtesting) and to offer them to use my work for their own - without any financial interest !!! I thought there was some enthusiasm there for such projects, but this idea was completely naiv. Did I care about that? No, I didn‘t. I continued with my project because it was my own pleasure.
4. Why did I go the way of „pre-ordering“? Sometimes, if you make content and it is placed on an uploading platform, it feels as if your content is swallowed by a kind of blackwhole. So, I have decided to make it this way, in a more personal form. When the content is ready, I will send it to all the guys who like to get it. Nothing more…no payment, no abuse of mail-adresses, only some harmless files of a OC game.
5. My personal happiness does not depend on such game stuff. I have enough real life, children etc.
If players like the content, it will be a pleasure for me. If they don’t like it, it is absolutely ok. And even if my computer should crash and all my stuff was destroyed - so what. It is only a hobby, little fun, nothing more.

Indeed. Mr. X was even kind enough to send me one of his campaigns for testing. He never mentioned payment and from my contact with him I can say that he is a perfect gentleman who would never even consider charging money for his great work. All in all rather nasty and unfortunate that it has to be like this.

I am very very irritated to see my topic locked because an anonymus weirdo named JoMac has claimed that I would sell any of my content of my coming BattlePack.
I don‘t even have a PayPal Account.

The BattlePack will have the title "Summer of Destruction" . Players will command Axis Forces of Army Group Central from
June 1944 to July 1944. Currently (see below) the pack includes the following stuff:
 
Chapter I
Mini-Campaign "Partisans Land"

The Player is commanding a mixed, reinforced German "Kampfgruppe" in June 1944 , attacking a wooded area west of Mogilew where strong partisan units are expected to have built a fortified strongpoint. 3 single Missions.

Lethaface, please spare me your Mindfulness exercises. 😀The simple truth is that the delay has been endless because of low priority and more profitable other business. There's no 'wisdom' in the conclusion that 'it's taking as long as it needs to take'. That just complete and utter nonsense. We haven't been waiting all this time because the module needed it to become perfect, but because all these years it was low on the priority list.

In order for you to have glove textures the BMP affecting the face it is [SNOW] tagged and could be different...Could be all of this or maybe we will have a [VODKA] tag...but who cares...RELEASE IT NOW!!!!!!!!

It's a nice image.  But, it also portends that when Defense work conflicts with entertainment product, the latter will always lose.  Most of us old-timers have a lot of love for the small BFC working on these niche products and have supported them since 1999.  It's a lot harder to be equally understanding with a defense contractor which in my experience is a very lucrative biz.   Unless they are getting screwed on their defense work fees, BFC should really be able to now afford the staff so the release schedule can be more reasonable (and we can get to early WW2 in our lifetimes).  
 

To be fair, Steve and Elvis always have been very patient with me. Even though they have been bombarded with requests to remove me permanently from this forum. So no complaints there.
I'm one of the few critical forum members, but my arguments are always based on facts. Also in this case. I've become a Don Quichote charging towards the huge BFC windmill. 🙂
What I hope to achieve by all this? That BFC frankly admits that the handling of FR has been a shambles from beginning to end and a sincere apology, instead of denying what happened and ridicule those who are upset about that.

Steve: The one you're all interested in is the first Module for CMRT.  Let me tell you a bit about it. When will it be available to you?  As always we have to be vague about it, however we're very sure it will be before the end of the year. 
Steve: It's been in the works for a significant amount of time already.  Most of the forces have already been plugged in and all of the vehicle models are done.  As you can see from the snapshot of the Berlin map, there's been substantial work done on the scenario side of things already.  What's really helping is that the CMRT Module doesn't require much internal development resources at this stage, which in turn means it's not being held up by CMSF2 or CMFI R2V work (or vice versa).

MikeyD: The CMRT and CMFI modules have been 'almost complete' for awhile. Much of the CMRT module artwork was finished 2 1/2 years ago.
 
 

Being released in our lifetime

I get that. What I don't get is giving the impression release is near for years and years and even now keep folks in the dark about it. I bet we won't see FR before CW. 

Not sure what to think or say, but I can appreciate your words more than those of the forum members who in the past months and years tried to defend the indefensible, ridiculed people who rightly were annoyed by the endless delay and tried to give the impression everything was as it should be. They should be even more embarrassed than BFC.
I personally feel that BFC did not hold up their end of the bargain with me as a customer of their products. The fact that Charles FINALLY said no does not impress or console me at all. 

Personally I would like to move on as quickly as possible and forget the whole shambles.

You can find all 5 stages of grief in this thread, and they repeat ad nauseum.

The way it is going I am quickly losing interest in Fire and Rubble. I still play RT with engine3 wanted to update and was waiting for Fire and Rubble. Never mind SF2, FB, Battle for Normandy is enough for the time being. Feel sorry for the people who already put their hard-earned cash down. 

I don't blame him for the endless delay (anymore). I've become convinced he's doing his utmost. I blame BF as a whole though. This is no way to treat one's customers.
But honestly, for my part they can release FR in a couple of months or even later than that. Let's go for a Christmas release! 😉
But as a symbolic and empty gesture from my side I won't pre-order Cold War. I'll buy it when the other NATO forces turn up. Not interested to play US or USSR.
