Because from what I'm reading historical accuracy equals bugs nowadays.

Making CM:BN more like CMx1-mods?
lookeylou replied to Lt Bull's topic in Combat Mission Battle for Normandy
Sergei- too funny. i was thinking the same thing. I skipped the 1st because of its looks. It compounded by the fact that other games at the time looked so good in comparison. I know i missed some good game play, but i was spoiled by visuals at the time. Peregrine-It's a difference between not knowing better and knowing better. -

Did concussive force bring down this house?
lookeylou replied to RooksBailey's topic in Combat Mission Battle for Normandy
you can say that if you want. i think the "health" of the house was low and was "killed" with what we used to call in quake splash damage -
TacAI- Infantry Firing on Tanks
lookeylou replied to Taki's topic in Combat Mission Battle for Normandy
There should be a hold fire button added. And it should be tied to the strength of the leader and expirenece if the order is obeyed or not, if a tank or any thing comes within meters of your men. A tank should be more "stress" tho If a leader has a -2 it should be like 75% penatly 75% they would fire lol -
one word. Tedious J/K One person's pain is another's pleasure. Going off memory only. its the same as elite but you have to click through your higher command to get to units across the map.

Amazing things you've seen
lookeylou replied to Scratchy's topic in Combat Mission Battle for Normandy
all ai control btw. my allied squad was moving across a road. i thought was clear, and an mg42 opened up with a hail of gun fire . i thought they were all domed. well the bazooka guy was having NONE of that. he fired off a round. it was so far away i thought it was surely going to miss, but it didn't. saved the whole squads ass. another one was i sent my FO (whole team) from one location to another to call in artillery because i needed LOS. well when they got there the artillery tab was grayed out. i was like this is bs why'd it disappear. they have los why isn't it available. i THEN clicked on the FO unit and the Radio guy was dead LMAO. i lost him on the way. dunno where? so much was going on. I have one question could i have "ammo shared" the radio to another squad member if i knew where i lost him? -
How to recognise terrain?
lookeylou replied to GreenAsJade's topic in Combat Mission Battle for Normandy
other games have a toggle button that you click, after which you click a point on the map and a pop-up with the surface and various penalties for each unit. -
yeah, i have the osfront demo. Both games require heavy investments to get good at. i chose retail CMX2. speaking of other types of games, CM delayed the "automatic"purchase of witcher 2. still automatic, just going be done later.

Contact markers: distinguish AFV from INF
lookeylou replied to GreenAsJade's topic in Combat Mission Battle for Normandy
Can it just be coded to be relative to your clicked units. spotting is handled this way. -
I Heard the Garand "Ping" and Other Neat Stuff!
lookeylou replied to mjkerner's topic in Combat Mission Battle for Normandy
get some good head phones. then everything that is faint becomes more distinguished. Prime example is the "background noise" of bombs, gun fire and explosions became atmosphere. Not just noise. -
WeGo missions need less time than RealTime
lookeylou replied to xian's topic in Combat Mission Battle for Normandy
For me time constraints feel more real world. It may not be fun. but its more accurate. Anyone who have served in any force knows about "hurry up and wait". Time constraints are artificially imposed in the real world most of the time. But other times it isn't. Eg. needing to secure a LZ or a bridge before its wired to blow etc etc -

Need "Target Armor" Command for AT guns
lookeylou replied to Echo's topic in Combat Mission Battle for Normandy
On another similar note. Is there a way to stop my spotters from firing the enemy, thus giving away their position. I'm not talking about enemies close enough to threaten them either. -
I read somewhere that they said in the next few days after release. dunno abt tracking tho

this company is a small house. And seem to know how to tune out the vocal minority. They will probably do it when they are ready. their core market is happy with pbem, single player and terrific after market content by the community. Now that they polished their diamond though, they are going to get more people that like things that glitters though.

Girlfriend felt the wraith already. She left her key at work. but i didn't know it. It's raining outside. I heard her pull in the driveway but she never came in the house. I dismissed it as she was playing, trying to scare me(silly now that i think about it). But it was rational clouded by mortar fire explosions. She finally got in and wasn't too pleased. I told her what i thought, and she said i guess i was playing by myself. Plus she called my war little damn 3:15am glad i took off bed time

try "free download manager" if having problems with flashget. drag the download link to the free download icon and that will load it into the program. it maxed my connection out
