  7. Great map man. It was a long fight. After it was over I was reviewing the map, and it was like going down memory lane. Each section of the map has a different obstacle and i was reliving it. A lot of men died taking that. Oh that's where I misclicked and the tank slaughtered them etc etc. Good sht. Anyway. The difficulty wasn't too bad. Its moderate. I had to put some thought in it. If I wanted to complete it under the strict casualty limit, tough. I like the fact that you gave each side there own objectives which I found out in the aar.   10. There's a sky scrapper that conveniently has over-watch over the majority of the Allied side of the map. Instead of having one panther you conveniently have two in case you lose one( I lost neither.) Plus a stug and a host of mg 42 teams, anti inf guns and reinforcements. And a Bomber that conveniently comes available later(didn't use). the Allied did hold out as long as they could before they surrendered. I saw alot of crack etc in the AAR, but the Micheal jordan/scottie pipen(panthers) combo was too much. I lost the stug because basically he was expendable. The panthers had kills in the 4

  12. Give it time. go get a drink or something. some maps are large with a lot of assets, and take a while to load up. On my laptop large maps take over 4:30 minutes and it looks like its stuck on 39%. But on my faster home computer everything is under 30 secs. This game like old fashion CPU brute power.
  13. I was thinking that about the //, that's why I just took the whole section out // and all. and the direct binds loaded. The main issue was the 1st cfg in the first post. that's my entire cfg i'm using now that works. There is not much there, and its easy to see where what goes to what. And the binded keys under camera keys are not working. Why shouldn't the X, C, and spacebar not load the specified commands(or I if spacebar is reserved)? I looked at your config, it has the same basic format just different binds. I was at it with the default/backup cfg for a while before posting initially.
  14. I know that's you opinion, obviously you posted. But I couldn't disagree more. I don't think there is enough of "am I going to win at all". I get too many "surrender, surrender". I was going to post in the would be nice thread that the CPU wouldn't surrender so much, but that would have been selfish I like the feeling of "pulling it out". i don't know anyone that doesn't. Maybe a map maker should make "training wheel" maps where its lop sided and all the mistakes don't matter. If the black smith don't make the fire hot enough you will never be forged into a mighty sword.
  15. No, that's my entire cfg I'm using now in my first post. I ran into problems when i left all the screen commands in and just put "//" in front of them like the cfg posted in this post. No binds will load at all with this config. So through the process of elimination i removed the camera keys section and the direct binds section keys loaded(the cfg posted in the first post).KISS. Is there an issue rebinding too many functions? I decided to get rid of the screen control binds since i don't use those keys for camera movement and the binds sit on valuable real estate, that can be better used for more direct control binds. But I have a dilemma.:mad: Why does X move screen forward and C move screen right when I have them binded to do something else? Do they depend other screen commands to be present in the cfg to work?   19. LOS can be tricky as well. If you test LOS just on the ground out from your position you are laid up at, you might think you have no LOS in spots, because of the subtle rises in the ground. But when a tank or squads is moving across the same area they will be visible, because of the hieght of units. something i picked up.
