  3. Yes, the new design is to include all the content and then let you play what you unlock. It seems like the issue is the base game is letting you pick units that you are not supposed to be able to.
  4. I am pretty sure flame throwers are not supposed to be included in just the base name. Let me know what the reinstall does but I think you have hit a bug.
  5. Absolutely. But what you just described is a lot of work. All of these requests take time and the one thing I can say for sure is nothing is as easy as anyone outside thinks it is. Heck nothing is as easy as anyone inside thinks it is either That was the point I was trying to make.
  6. Not sure. The "easy" way would be to allow you to put all the files in one place and have the game load them one at a time and play them. Even that exposes the program issues like: what happens if a file is missing? what about name changes? what about inconsistent numbering? All those issues take effort to program around. What about memory usage? This scenario would easily be the most memory intensive running of CM ever. In our normal usage how many turns do we load a turn in a single session? I think my record is 6 but usually its 1 or 2. A small memory issue will cause no one problems and never be hit or detected. Load 100 turns one after another in a single session of CM. I wonder if the memory handling is close enough to perfect for that. From the user experience point of view that "easy" method would suck. Would you like to wait for the load times every minute? What if you want to go back a minute or two - more waiting for loading. Oh and you get to enter your password again and again too. Will that be fun? Anything you, rightly, demand to mitigate those usability issues makes this non easy. BFC have looked at the effort and decided the effort would benefit the game more if it were used on other features / content. PS I would also very much enjoy this feature too and have asked / advocated for it in the past. Just trying to explain how much more to this there actually is.
  7. Or you will kill them and thus free the HT. I had to do this once way back in 1.0 where a single idiot went running off while the rest of his squad loaded onto a truck. I blasted him with some tank area fire and freed up the squad and the truck. If you have a save I can pass it on to the all powerful programmers. PM me and we can arrange to get the file to me.
  8. Perhaps I was avoiding commenting since I don't have a lot of time right now. Off the top of my head flame throwers were added in the vehicle pack. @fry30 did you purchase the vehicle pack? There are a couple of things that could be going on here: 1) You do not have the vehicle and the game is erroneously letting you purchase them - bug. Only work around would be to not purchase flamethrowers until you purchase and enter the vehicle pack codes. 2) You do have the vehicle pack and your install is some how messed up - also bug. Probably bug that will be difficult to reproduce (I mean the messed up install not the process of purchasing flame throwers). Your work around would be to reinstall using the all in one installer. Your activation codes will be remembered but re-entering at least the vehicle pack code would be a good idea too. @fry30 let me know if you have purchased the vehicle pack or not. Everyone else correct me I have have it wrong that flame throwers were added in the vehicle pack.
  9. Don't quote me on this but I thought anyone who was a proper casualty (as opposed to light wounded) was out for the duration. Yep, most of those boys are headed home and the rest at least to the rear for an extended period. As for the lightly wounded (yellow icon still fighting) guys I'm not sure if they stay that way in the next battle of a campaign or not.
  10. You need to make sure the game is not running on an integrated graphics card - they are notorious for messy looking text along with other issues. I would guess that is not the problem you are hitting but just in case. The other culprit is Anti alisasing which is discussed in a few threads linked on the FAQ. Check out the Performace section here: The CM2 FAQ Thread And with high resolution monitors sometimes Windows or you run your UI scaled and you need to override the settings for the game so that it uses the full resolution:
  11. That's the spirit. There is so much to do and play in CM let alone adding other games to your list.
  12. During testing I definitely found it working at one point. As, @domfluff mentioned I could get very close to blue without being detected or get picked off at a Km depending on the setting. Sounds like @MOS:96B2P has a bug to log though. Bummer.
  13. ?? No idea how you figure that. Currently there are what two kinds of bunker. There is currently no variation in the strengths of bunkers other than the two types. I guess but I highly doubt that Steve would want to use any of the current soft factors to mean something completely different when used on a bunker. I am sure changing the game to support additional bunker strengths would be possible but again I would guess that is not something that would bubble up very high in the priority. My experience of sometimes finding bunkers a royal pain and other times wondering why I was worried has way more to do with what @slysniper points out above. Note: I don't speak for Steve, I'm just giving my opinion based on a little insider insight but nothing else.
  14. Market Garden requires Game Engine 3 or 4: https://www.battlefront.com/battle-for-normandy/cmbn-market-garden-module/ I have no idea what version your CD has on it - honestly I hardly remember CDs still being sent out. You can send support your question about what bundle or modules you can purchase and get to where you want in the best way possible.
  15. Sure I'm a bit of an outlier though. I have my own photo sharing site using a https://piwigo.org/ on my web site. So, I post my photos in galleries to keep things organized and then I have plug in that generates links in the correct format for various forum or web sites. Before that I used to just ftp images to a ForumsAndSupport folder on my web site and then hand generate the urls.
  16. Performance scores are interesting but if they are combining multiple factors to create a score then they will not tell you want you need to know here. I am quite certain that clock speeds for the same generation *do* make a difference. I am not totally clear on if an i9 that has a slightly slower clock speed than an i7 is actually slower in terms of single core performance. The CM games on windows are compiled as 32 bit apps with large address awareness enabled. That means the game has access to a maximum of 4Gb. So as long as your rig has 4Gb available for the game along with anything else you might be running you are good to go. 16Gb is totally fine.
  17. https://www.thefewgoodmen.com/thefgmforum/forums/field-warriors-tournament-cmbs.475/ Edited to show just the url since the auto icon generation failed - probably because of log in issues.
  18. Seems like a campaign / scenario issue so @Imperial Grunt is the man for this...
  19. I recently switched to a 2K monitor and had some issues because I wanted to run at a scaling of 125%. That caused the game text to look odd. What I did to fix it was switch the game .exe settings to allow the application to handle its own scaling. Select the game .exe file - right click select properties. Click on the "Compatibility" tab Turn on the "High DPI scaling behaviour" and pick "Application" from the drop down. This is only a fix if you are using a scale and layout other than 100%
  20. I wold love this kind of thing. Even if it generated a file at the end of the battle that we could use players could do all kinds of fun things with it. This has been asked for before - so far BFC has not taken the idea up.
  21. You and @Ithikial_AU are getting at two different aspects of the condition of the non-core units. I am pretty sure that @Ithikial_AU means that a depleted non-core unit will not hinder you ability to fight in a following scenario by causing you to have two few forces at your command. Since they will not return in following scenarios you will not have to fight with a depleted unit from the beginning of any following scenario. However you are correct, the condition of any unit in a secenario can be used for scoring and thus a non-core unit that has suffered significant casualties can effect the score in the scenario you just finished and thus effect the path the campaign takes. The non-core units will not appear in follow on scenarios thus they will have no lasting effect in battles going forward. However they do count in scoring of the scenario they appeared in. So, their condition could change what branch you fight on and your overall results are.
  22. LOL cool malware guard. I can see some uses for being careful with such things. For example I could create a top level domain of .con (great irony there) and then register microsoft.con and apple.con and use those link to scam people and it would be hard for them to notice the trickery. However this is not a scam. As @Freyberg said this one is approved by ICAAN so you should be safe: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/.club
  23. This one for sure: It was also turned into a PDF and shipped with the game so you might have a better version on you HD. Also check out the first section of the FAQ:
