LOL, once I get back to my PC that post will get an up vote. Glad you found it useful

I see it now - thanks. OK I agree the WYSIWYG editor makes it slightly harder to navigate at times but on the other hand when you don't get what you expect you can see that too. In the editor there is a light switch like icon in the top left corner of the tool bar. If you click that it turns off WYSIWYG and you can see the format controls just like the old forum. Then you can manipulate multiple quotes or break a long quote up to address separate parts. In addition if you turn it off the board sw remembers your setting so you can even just leave WYSIWYG off.

Middle Mouse Button stopped working on forum?
A Canadian Cat replied to 76mm's topic in Combat Mission Red Thunder
Mac's don't even have a right button - at least officially. But yeah it has been a long while since I saw a three button mouse - could be pushing 20 years actually. -
Hey @LUCASWILLEN05 this is the second time I have seen you quote someone's post but not actually say anything. What gives? Mistake? Secret Code for those in the know? Repeating the best posts Just curious.

I just did a totally lame test - one sample each and timed with my phone. For CMRT 1.00 running on my SSD drive it started in 13.7s. For CMRT 1.03 running on my platter drive it started in 26.7s. Both of those were from time of launch to main screen up I did not <esc> the splash screen. So there you have it the SSD launch *is* much faster. I guess I just don't notice anything faster than 30s

Problems with spotting
A Canadian Cat replied to GhostRider3/3's topic in Combat Mission Red Thunder
Another thing to consider is movement. I think, form reading your post, that your Panthers were moving forward while the T34s were waiting. I would expect that tanks sitting still at the edge of a treeline facing some open ground would spot moving tanks coming towards them much easier than the other way around. Buttoned or un buttoned I think the advantage of being still in overwatch vs the disadvantage of moving would trump the TC's position. -
Middle Mouse Button stopped working on forum?
A Canadian Cat replied to 76mm's topic in Combat Mission Red Thunder
I have found that the forum does not automatically use mobile mode for my phone's browser and full version when on the PC. Since I have to manually switch to mobile when on my phone it associates that choice with my account and when I get back to my PC it still renders in mobile mode. I have just been switching back and forth as needed. I am also trying to report the problem to the forum software authors - but I have had zero success so far. Their support setup is totally geared towards the admins of their customer sites and not to us end users. I hope to have away at some point but for now I think you and I are stuck having to remember to switch modes. -

A Canadian Cat replied to Moon's topic in Combat Mission Red Thunder
At the bottom of the opening screen it should show 1.03 as the version number. -
Target & Target Briefly handling
A Canadian Cat replied to poesel's topic in Combat Mission Battle for Normandy
Ah, I understand now. I always just target the same place and then I can start over with target briefly again. -
Cancelling Targeting Orders
A Canadian Cat replied to Bud Backer's topic in Combat Mission Battle for Normandy
Oh cool, I though of clear target the same way @womble did. I always used a face command to do the job. Learn something new every day. -
CM Black Sea - Beta Battle Report - US/UKR Side
A Canadian Cat replied to pnzrldr's topic in Combat Mission Black Sea
This time don't listen to Ken. When your vehicles are jammed together like that it will take some time to untangle them. Things will get much worse if multiple vehicles get lazed and take evasive action. -
This might be a good time to remind everyone that just because something happens once, or twice, or even three times does not mean it always will. Also remember that when bad things happen to your forces 49.99% of the time it is your fault and 49.99% of the time it is your opponent's plan. The rest of the time it *might* be a bug.

Wow you guys are making variable weather complex. How about just letting us set initial conditions and a second set of conditions at X minutes. Maybe allow a short random interval and maybe allow an optional second transition. I bet that would be plenty of work .

I am a bit confused. That actually works now. That is what I do frequently (including the <grr> sound) -
More (Official) Small Scenarios
A Canadian Cat replied to Sim1943's topic in Combat Mission Black Sea
Yeah, it has to be debunked every year or so. Now where is that article that describes the history of BFC... -
CM Black Sea - Beta Battle Report - US/UKR Side
A Canadian Cat replied to pnzrldr's topic in Combat Mission Black Sea
I am in my mobile phone so cannot comment on picture size except to say that in the mobile mode the pictures scale to fit the screen. If other words they are ridiculously small. Very cool that your mines were found. Nice nail biter moment -
Anybody that didn't play CMSF gonna get CMBS?
A Canadian Cat replied to Mord's topic in Combat Mission Black Sea
Yep, me. I have never played CMSF but do have all the WWII games except CMBO. Sorry but totally lopsided battles are not very interesting. Perhaps that is unfair but there it is I am loving CMBS.
