  1. It might be a better idea to open a support ticket now (that was the recommenced action to take) since once the game comes out Support will be busy. My understanding was that they would find your records and give you a valid key so that when the update install asks for your original key you will have it handy.
  2. Path finding problems are typically NP-incomplete problems.
  3. Got some references that show the numbers being off? I ask because what you see in the game is from pretty extensive research so if there is a mistake or additional data having that would be good.
  4. Indeed. My concerns as well plus factor in some extra brutality from the Assad government as is thier usual pattern. It will be messy and chaotic for many more years.
  5. Yep, you did. Go here and support can start the process of reconnecting you with your lost digital data: https://battlefront.mojohelpdesk.com/ (I changed the above from "lost bits" because - ewwww)
  6. Possible but unlikely. Since the time line for the game is now in the past and that new gear is just arriving now.
  7. This is basically what I do when a patch of upgrade comes along and I have PBEM games on the go with the old version. I make a copy of the install and then install the patch over the copy and now I have the old and new version on the same machine so I can still play PBEM games and hopefully migrate over to the new one.
  8. ?? There is no counter battery fire in CM games. None. If there are two opposing mortar teams on map they might end up firing at each other but this is *not* counter battery fire and does *not* use tracking of rounds or anything like that. There have been several debates about the accuracy of direct mortar fire. My recollection is that if the mortar team can see a target themselves they can drop rounds pretty much right on top in fairly short order.
  9. So, plenty of ammo for the snipers Sound good
  10. I keep wondering about this so I fired up the game. If you want 8km on one side you can make it 2.3km wide. And you cannot get to 4.5km squared you can get 4km by 4.5km. I made this table setting one side to 8km (maxes out) and then getting the max width. Then I reduced the depth by 500m ish at a time and maxed out the width again. If you continue you get the opposite numbers until you get to a width of 8000m and a depth of 2320. So the longest you can get is 8km with a width of 2.3km and the max area you can get is 18.6km^2 at 2.6km by 7km. That's 1860 hectares BTW. OK, OK what the heck is a hectare - in acres that would be 4596 acres.
  11. That is so cool and I never knew that. It could be kind of a fun way to play - you can only pick a force that was suggested to you.
  12. In the deployment phase for each side the last camera position is saved as the starting point for the side when playing the scenario.
  13. Wow, those sentences were bad. So, bad I am not even going to edit the post to fix it and instead tried again. Sorry about that.
  14. While the AI will not load up on extra rounds, it will acquire AT assets before dismounting. So, there is not really any advantage to the human player in this respect.
  15. Can you actually set that *and* use the suggest button? In other words dose the forces chosen via the suggest button respect the selections you make in the soft factors controls? I can test it out myself and I will but since I'm not at my game computer now I can ask here first
  16. But to answer the basic question - the patch process is a manual one. You read about a patch on the site of here in the forums and you download it and install it yourself.
  17. While the AI will not load up on extra rounds thus will acquire AT assets. Not really any advantage there.
  18. When Steve gives the heads up that the demo has arrived... Remember your good advice
  19. I am certain it is not possible You can split off the AT team and then the rest of the squad will no longer be held back. I know - it's not a real solution but it all I have.
  20. /s What AT guns are hard to spot. That's terrible, the game is broken, how can anyone play this. Oh wait, sorry wrong complaint I was thinking you said AT guns are too easy to spot.
  21. Exactly. Kim has plenty of support from Putin and Xi Or it was taken from his desk and hidden from him by a member of his staff...
  22. Huh? The Chinese are invited by the same government that invited the NATO forces (which is to day was setup after NATO took out the Taliban government). How is that any different? Clearly the politics of the two are different - I'm not trying to say they are the same. But the status as invited is just the same. The Chinese are just as invited or not as anyone else to the Taliban.
