  1. I'll do that when I get home tonight. IIRC, it's simply a matter of naming the file correctly. I also imported CMSF trees for CMBN, and modded the stock CMBN trees as well, to create a Med-like atmosphere for my own benefit. Then sdp did his superb Italy mod, and he had changed the CMBN trees as well. So I have a mix of his, mine, his and mine, and stock CMSF trees.
  2. Broadsword, you should be able to use the horizons from CMSF. If you don't have them, I can send them to you.
  3. I'm patiently waiting for it. It's looking better all the time!
  4. This. I absolutely agree with your comments, LLF.
  5. If you put them in area where there is no colored Set Up Zone, they'll stay put. I generally don't use any set up zones for AI defenders, so the AI won't joslte them around.
  6. I just had the experience last night of a piat team (CMBN, of course) moving into a possible ambush position. Visually, I only saw one guy with a rifle/no piat moving (and pretty much right under the icon), and wondered if the piat gunner was actually alive or not. As I was watching, the guy with the rifle stopped moving, but the icon kept moving forward a bit into the action square. Question answered. I targeted the team, justifying it to myself as the spotter's sixth sense/hunch based on his combat experience. But I'd rather not know....
  7. That's simple. You mod what can be modded, not what can't be. The spread of the 50mm PAK has to be coded, not modded. Those of us who play down in the weeds like the Ptruppen to look they way we want them too. It's neat, cool, and hip, Daddio. Don't bust our far out groove, Man. Stop with the negative waves, Moriarty.
  8. Agreed! And as far as making them, Mord's voices and UI faces mods, and Fuser/Aris dirty vehicle mods, take the cake by far for the most hassle/time consumption
  9. Lol, you should experience the hassle in modding them in the first place!
  10. I'm doing US infantry divisional patches, and adding some variety for US uniforms, but the unis don't need any modding at all, really, and truthfully, I don't know how many people are interested in shoulder patches anyway.
  11. Question: What if the Hokey Pokey is what it's all about?
  12. Oh, and by the way, I certainly am enjoying it, dungeon tiger. Maybe you could do a mix...overview shots for the first couple minutes, which as you said, is good for establishing the overall situation, then a zoom down to the action?
  13. sburke, I'm updating my old US div patch mod for use with sdp' Italy mod to use with for CMFI. I might not upload them, depending on how they look to me. But you're welcome to them when they are finished, regardless. They go along with a US uniforms mod (an admittedly unneeded product--the stock uniforms look great as is).
  14. I can attest to this. I've been fooling with a large scenario I made involving a Soviet human wave attack on a regimental+ scale on very large CMFI map. (Quick mods to make Italian troops/vehicles look like Russians.) When there are interlocking FOF, HMG's are pretty good at both killing and driving fanatic-level troops to ground. 'cept, the Russkies just relentlessly keep on coming, attacking and attacking (4 battalions vs less the 1 German Bn). TRP'sd, mines, trenches and wire are all helping to slow them...but Mein Gott, they just keep coming!
  15. I'd like to add that for me, it's the close-ups that are the best. I like to eyeball action in CMBN from the ground. I could barely tell those were vehicles in the vids, and wouldn't be able to tell which vehicles were which without the icons. Just sayin'...
  16. Hey Broadsword, thanks for that link! I was trying to put together both San Pietro and Cassino (for the Kiwi's assault on the town in CMBN) for sdp's most excellent Italian Campaign mod, but never came across this site while searching for references. I'm glad I gave up on them because I can do them easier with the new editor changes. When I ever have time, and assuming BFC/sdp don't cover them one of the modules.
  17. Bil, are you certain that infantry isn't hiding in those foxholes? Presumably any that may have been there fled from the Grille barrage but.....anyway, good luck!
  18. Welcome back, Fuser. Erwin has organized a champagne and caviar party for you, and called Interpol to let them know you have not been kidnapped, died in a plane crash, etc. I think you will like the terrain very much. Except for grids, there hasn't been much, if any, call for modding it. But you have vehicles awaiting you, young man. Just ask Erwin! (Sorry Erwin, couldn't resist the ribbing. All in good fun.)
  19. Don't know if it is a bug or not. I just assumed that they saved their precious HE for infantry in the open, and since most buildings in this theater are masonry/stone, the guns are programed to use AP against buildings.
  20. Yes, and I can't wait to get them in CMFI.
  21. There's another SCTV/John Candy fan, I'm betting.
  22. Are you sure, Slow Motion? I'm pretty certain--not completely certain-- that I've had trucks and kubelwagonspull back when threatened, as long as they have a driver, of course.
  23. Rotflmao! Good story. I hope your 10th Grade creative writing teacher in fact gives you an A+! I'm wondering, why no target arc on the assualt squad? Btw, where in Wisconsin?
