  1. When CMFI was sprung on us, BFC. Stated we'd have CMBN v2, Market Garden, and Bagration in a year...so I think Martyr has it about right, except Bagration by June-ish, 2013. Bulge by Christmas 2013???
  2. Hmmmm, I must be missing something. I'll have to check it out tonight, because I just don't recall noticing anything other than smooth panning....
  3. Nothing is being "brushed off" if in fact he doesn't notice anything. I don't notice anything wrong with panning either. In fact, it's my favorite thing to do when I have "view locked" a unit as they move through the terrain. Is the problem related to a person's CPU limit or something?
  4. Last year in CMBN I tried to put both an infantry texture and later a Photoshopped image of dead soldier on a log flavor-object, and they both came out looking a bit like something out of "The Thing".
  5. The enemies that can be seen running look like the Japanese in the mod.
  6. This has happened to me on another mapsin CMBN. I hadn't noticed when placing the tank in a large clearing surrounded by trees that all the underlying terrain was impassable heavy forest. Sounds like you are surrounded by impassable (to vehicles) boulder terrain.
  7. Actually, that looks like LLF's Japanese mod, using Brits as the base models for the Japanese.
  8. Good choice! We'll punch your Man Card as soon as you do.
  9. Looks great, Egger. I know you are taking on quite an endeavor with Aris/Fuser out there, but really, I like this one as much as I do his. I guess this may turn out to be a friendly competition between you two over time, sort of, but any mod is a worthwhile mod when it adds to a persons skill. Thanks!
  10. Yes, let's have it out, man! And while you're at this great work, any chance you can "free" the old truck flavor object (shown as Junk #8 in the CMBN Manual, I believe)?
  11. Yessiree, Mr. Emrys! An' we'll be gettin' off'n your lawn right quick!
  12. Multi-Man Publishing's ATS (Advanced Tobruk System) which is essentially "ASL-lite" has an excellent module for DBP, and with a lot of good background information and maps. Of course, I sold off all my ASL and ATS stuff (I had almost every game and module for both systems) right after CMBN came out, 'cause there was no way I was going to push counters around after that.
  13. If you do one, LLF, you should do all of the strongpoints. Just sayin'... Also, and I suppose you already know this, but Fall's Street Without Joy provides all kinds of fodder for Mobile Group massacres, er...engagements. But I think Martin Windrow's book The Last Valley is at least as good as Hell in a Very Small Place. I would love to see CM eventually do Korea and the French and US Vietnam Wars.
  14. But generally speaking, that is a good thing. They are busy working away to get the patch, CMBN v2.0, and Market-Garden all out the door before Christmas.
  15. http://www.allworldwars.com/index.htm I hadn't run across this one before. Enjoy.
  16. Just to be clear, that activity has been around since at least CMBN, maybe CMSF. I used to put some "double deep" (two levels down from "sea level") bocage-lined sunken lanes, because it's cool to watch your P-truppen move along them, but they stand along the edge, never seem to take a knee at least, and look pretty barmy-like...so I stopped doing that.
  17. Womble, I thought that was in RT/TCP or whatever that is called, not in a normal pbem.
