  1. If you like I can throw together a map with nothing but pure infantry on it for you? It won't be anything special but it should be fun to play around with. If you want me to do this drop me a email and will cook up an all infantry bash for you. The benefit of this is you won't know what troops are used or have any idea what the enemy has. Up to you
  2. Hmmm.....4km maps......hmmmm....QBG is up to the challenge of making such a beast. Maybe a few. Will chat to Mark about it and see if we can make some Ultra maps at such dimensions.
  3. I noticed in 1.04 Bradley's are slow to use the TOW missiles even against tanks. They open up with 25mm and unless I can reverse them out of harm's way they are toasted.
  4. Nope....that is why we put objectives down for both sides in our QBG maps. To give players at least a hint as to what they have to attack or defend. I find that the game pulls Meeting Engagements and unless your familiar with the maps you have no idea it is a ME. Just for fun the game also can pull a ME map on you when set to Probe, Attack or Assault. Could BFC put something under the conditions tab to state what type of battle is being played?
  5. I have no problem with anyone useing the MM marked maps for modification as they are my design but there are a few other designers and I cannot speak for them.
  6. Yes The new H2H pack has AI and troops in the scenario's.
  7. Bit time consuming but try a fresh download? reinstall that and try again? Sorry I am not much help but this is new to me as a problem.
  8. Yay. God bless this volume and all who sail in her!!!! Have fun folks
  9. That is an odd one. No one has reported this before with QB's that I know of. Which version of the game are your running? Paradox, Gamersgate or the download from BFC. All I can recommend at this stage is reinstall the game or redownload from BFC cos one of the main files might be corrupted....not sure tho.
  10. Thanks for the kind comment but we are now ready to get things going on Volume 4 of the QBG project which will enhance the QB's that little bit more.
  11. Use a FO for the syrians. Any US troop leader can do it. Click on the green icon with a SPG or Jet on it and follow the menu options. Easy as pie.
  12. Crew served weapons...yeah they tend to hang onto the weapon after casualties. I heard people say they picked up M249's and so on...what I think they saw was the guy doing his first aid animation. I could be wrong but I have never seen another trooper pick up another persons side-arm.
  13. They work well. I played on a 1km by 1km map with nothing but a platoon of stryker infantry vs a platoon of BTR infantry and it took about 4 mins to pin each other down. Don't sound like much but compare it to the gunline small maps where it's over in a minute after intense missile and gunfire. Then the fight lasted about 25mins after both sides dismounted and took up firing positions. Yes this was a QB. Tons of room to maneuver. I spotted the dust trails and set up a nice ambush. This new way of triplicate saving of maps gives you much more control over how much troops you face on a larger map. Ofc nothing we can do about troops choice.
  14. LOL I did see a guy called Finn leading a squad before. Sure of it. Along with a Grammont, Charles and a few other "forum" names.
  15. I just saw a team firing off an M136 AT rocket....when they did not have one in the inventory. I had the missing missile bug. You know the one..grab an AT-4 jump out the wagon and....Smitty lost it already! So I was convinced I had no rockets but one guy pulled one out and launched. Odd. Did he take off a dead guy or was it just not displayed in the inventory?
  16. They pack a lot of firepower. Jav Chav's not included. US squads also have body armour which I doubt most Syrians would have bar the SF guys. Yup..they are tough cookies.
