  1. hehe M1A1, the secret to a successful campaign is stamina and staying power Gunz, 5 minutes??? You can do better than that
  2. I bet he's on this forum somewhere too. Has to be.
  3. I bet you have satisfying QB's?
  4. CMSF is like making love to a beautiful woman. Take it slow, cover every approach and don't plunge in to fast
  5. Gonz, thanks, mate...I Will gladly add troops and ship it to Mark for volumising and creditation.
  6. Give QB's some love and this will be a total corker. People are now looking for all infantry maps where as before the battle cry was "infantry is broked, BFC fix or sumfink!" QBG is currently working on a new volume of maps of which at least half are all infantry medium sized maps, which the community have asked for. I see this as a positive step forward and I do not see CMSF as fundamentally flawed.
  7. I love long walks in the country with my dog. I observe the land and see how it blends into itself. It's like one big organism so at one with itself. The hills slope down into the valley with trees dotted around, a cottage lies tucked into a small copse of trees. It's just pure imagination coupled with vivid memory. If you can capture that you can make maps. We all can do it, just takes time to stop and really see what were looking at. Anyway, enough tree-hugging hippy crap 4 Maps done with nothing but infantry, not even a jeep. One playtester said: "you already had the lay of the land just right so they could move up to the top of the ridge and get a good looksee and fire from"
  8. They were in, but were taken out. Notice the slight differences in the troops in that pic and what we are used to now.
  9. Steve Zaloga? Used to work for Games Workshop if I recall? His modelling skill with tanks and whatnot was sublime...if I have the right guy in mind.
  10. Regroup, set up a perimeter and call in the Marines!!
  11. Box fire was used in Vietnam as a formation breaker against assaults on forward fire bases. The fire base to the rear or sides of the FFB would provide this cover. Only thing is it was big scale boxes not the 100m box you might be looking for.
  12. Nope If the job is that dangerous, get a new one. Your not 21 and as deadly as you used to be.
  13. I have paradox version and no on-map mortars here.
  14. Yup, I found it hard to believe as well but apparantly it was Soviet Motor Rifle Regiment standard. Basically 1 per man. I doubt many vehicles had the full compliment. Remember the RPG 18 is disposable and lies "collapsed" until needed. I am not saying it's 100% accurate but I read it in General Sir John Hackett's book "Third World War, untold story" I imagine he is a good source.
  15. Fair enuff. I will get to work and see what the map fairy can bring.
  16. I also read that BMP are meant to carry 10 RPG 18 "Mukha". Perfect world methinks but maybe one or two would be ok?
  17. This happens when you set up too close to the edge of the map and some troops are "outside the box" They are almost under the map and the unit tag is miles away from where it should be. Not saying this is what you are experiencing but it is similar.
  18. Ahhhh I get what you mean. Nevermind Meach. He is grumpy and old.
  19. Ok First map is done. It is in the testing stage and needs approval before volumising. Mortar support is in for both sides but BLUE might get Air Support instead. Every map will include this and AI scripted Fire Support. Next question is how long do you want to wait? 20 maps....a week....10 maps...3/4 days.
  20. SoCold, Sorry, mate, tried that. No luck whatsoever. Thanks for thinking of me. I get the intro movie and sound.
  21. Anything I produce goes thru the QBG but would people like to see all infantry scenario I can start work on a medium sized map pack with nothing but Infantry battles if that is what folks want. 20 Maps with nothing but infy might be a bit much. I reckon a 10pack would probly be enough for starters. What do you folks think?
  22. He's a jarhead. What does he know about playing nice In the USMC handbook there is no definition of "nice" just "aggressive" "more aggressive" or "exterminate with extreme prejudice" so go easy on him
